Read previous reviews about not getting coins after so many levels and about the ads being excessive. Feels like things have been fixed. Even though there are still ads in here to be expected but not as often which is nice. Don't bother me, and coins coming often as from what was said before. So thumbs up. Like this game it's definitely different from other word games I play. Recommended. 5 stars 🌟
Good game. You dont ever have to shuffle if you look carefully. the words just have to be chosen in the correct order. This is interesting and challenging if you enjoy word puzzles. Addition: I just accidentally chose the words out of order and the game shuffled automatically! One complaint: i have accidentally pushed the buttons to get a clue or shuffle 3 times because they are so close to the puzzle. Very frustrating since it usually costs! An " are you sure" or undo button would be great.thnx
I've thoroughly enjoyed this game! Without a doubt it's one of my all time favorites. I must confess that I've laughed more than a few times at grammatical errors in the titles of the rounds (usually verb tenses) but its still a lot of fun. When the round is over and an ad comes on, I exit the game and quickly go back in and the game resumes, this skips the over the ads. 1000s of rounds and I'm not stopping anytime soon. This game is fantastic and while playing you learn English words but you have to think a lot. The only negative point I found to the game is that the words are repeated in each level with other new words. And if you close the game and when you reopen it everything you have achieved has been deleted, you have to start over at level one, it erased everything I had achieved.
WORD CRUSH!! THE best word puzzle game! I simply adore playing this game. And I wholeheartedly suggest it.I'll admit that I suffer from short-term memory loss as a result of a stroke I had when I was younger, which may be annoying but this is one way i try to keep my brain working. Sometimes it's simple, sometimes it's difficult, but it definitely makes a difference, so thank you for puzzles I can complete!
Word Crush is better than I thought it would be. I've seen ads about the game several times, but I never tried it. I really like word puzzles, and I also like finding bonus words and receive coins always excite me. I haven't had to use any hints yet, but I'm sure the game will get harder so that I will need a hint. For now though, I recommend this game to anyone who likes word puzzles!
This has been my my favorite word game by far. It’s great to challenge the brain and keep it sharp. The levels are generally not too hard but challenging. Some levels are repeated (I’m in the 700’s now) but it doesn’t happen so often that it gets boring. I like that there is no messaging capability between players and you really have no way of knowing anyone else other than to see them on a tournament leaderboard. That way I never get harassed by creepers. The placement of the hint options is the only thing I’d say needs to be revamped- it’s too easy to hit them by accident with your thumb and use coins you didn’t intend to. Once I purchased the game, the ads went away- although you can choose to watch an add for additional coins or rewards if you want but it’s not necessary. Overall this is a fantastic word game for a nerd like me. Thank you for your feedback and we're sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused. First, let me tell you that I paid for no ads and that is a ripoff! And I could put up with the ads if they were shorter but the ads are awful! None of them should ever be over 15 seconds! But u get 25+seconds for every stinking ad. Enough already! The time spent getting thru long, noisy ads is beyond annoying as well as time consuming! Worse than tv! And I really like the game! But it is no longer fun if I have to go thru continuous long winded ads.
I really like this game. The biggest pro is NO VIDEO ADS While you're in the middle of a puzzle. The ads are played after you complete the level, and whenever you enter the game after exiting. I feel like that rly allows players to enjoy the gameplay. I like that the puzzles r generally easy, n I enjoy the challenge when I get stuck. I reached level 400 with over 1200 coins. I really try to avoid using the ingame help. I don't like the occasional video ads that auto-opens a window.
Had downloaded this to play with daughter. There are so many ads! After every game I was seeing another ad, at times 2 ads. The game itself was kinda fun. It made you think. Though, there were so many times that most of the words I was getting were all bonus words or not included at all even though it was a word and part of theme. Dont get many coins for getting through the game/round. But I noticed as I leveled up that I had to buy the shuffle/hint in order to even be able to get the words.
This rating is strictly due to the amount of ads. I really like the game, but the amount of ads is annoying. Between each level, there are anywhere from one to three ads to watch. Just when you think the ad is over, you click on the little arrows and it makes you sit through another 15 - 30 seconds of the same ad and won't let you close it until that second part is done playing. The whole ad time average is 45 seconds. They are all video ads which eats up data quickly.
I really enjoy this game. One problem is the ability to earn coins. You have to complete 10 rounds to get any and you only get 25. The " helps" are also pricy in terms of coins. Sometimes when you earn a " help" times 2, it doesn't always appear in the game. It would be great to see more challenges to earn coins and "helps" as well. Now, I'm up towards level 3000 and the game won't load anymore... Just when they started including more challenges and tournaments! I've tried to get on for days...
It lost my data. I was playing a tournament and up in the 2000s of level and 17000s in points, and getting closer to first place on the tournament. I had to step away for a second and my level went back down to the 1000s, points to the 16000s, and had to work harder to keep 2nd place in tournament. Now, I am doing puzzles after puzzles today all over again that I solved yesterday already. I hope that doesn't happen very often. I would have been first place yesterday if not for the glitch.
UPDATE...ONCE I GET TO A POINT THAT I CAN'T PLAY WITHOUT SPENDING MONEY, IT'S TIME TO DELETE THE GAME! YOU MAKE ENOUGH MONEY FROM THE ADS. SHAME ON YOU! Love it...BUT there should be coin rewards after completing a level. There is hardly any way to earn coins for power ups. You can watch ads for a power up, but they are RIDICULOUSLY LONG! I've never encountered such long ads in a game. If it comes to having to pay for coins just to finish a puzzle, I will not hesitate to uninstall.
I really enjoy this game. The only problem I have with it is the fact that I reached a fairly high level of puzzles solved but then the game basically froze on me and would not let me go any further. I therefore deleted it thinking that. Like other games I've had, Upon reinstalling the game, I could continue from where I left off ! Unfortunately, that is not the case. I have had to basically start literally from puzzle 1 all over again !!!! Other then this, I have enjoyed myself.
Ehh. It can be fun - something to pass time. I prefer word games to skill games. I’ve played Word Crush off-and-on for about two years. I rarely “spend” the “coins” to buy board flips or helps like the lightning clues. For me it’s more fun to amass the coin points. I’m currently on level 773 - I have over 1900 game “coins.” Two days ago the game began being “jumpy” (not moving smoothly) and momentarily freezes (frequently). The freezes are becoming more lengthy. I usually have to exit the game and completely close it down (I play using iPad). It looks like I’ll have to delete the app — and probably loose my progress. I doubt that I’ll reload it. It’s too frustrating to start over. I notice that the app store description indicates that the game was updated 6 days ago. Maybe that caused the new problems - attention developers - sometimes your bug-fixes just create new bugs. I guess the game deserves a few stars since it lasted this long. Three it is - average. I wrote the review last week and hoped the problem was solved but it’s not. The game freezes constantly and then goes black. I have to close the game and get back in. Then I get booted off. This was bad before the update but it’s so much worse now. I used to play game after game while watching tv at night. Now, if I play 3-5, I’m lucky. This needs to be fixed! I don’t understand the ads running at the bottom of the game continue while the game stops. What are you doing to fix this? Wondering WHO you’re using to fix bugs and how much they’re getting paid. Can’t be much. Stars changed to 2. Edited: I wrote - I love this game and updated it thinking it would fix the problems but I barely could get through one game due to it freezing constantly. I clicked for the second game and it froze and then booted me off. After messing around with different things on my iPhone, I rebooted it. That did help with the problem and am hoping the freezing, black screen and booting off is fixed. If it is, I’ll be very happy. Also, the ads on the bottom flashing at me are very annoying. I started enjoying this game after playing it a bit, and wrongly decided it might be worth paying the small $3.99 fee to remove ads for a more enjoyable relaxing experience because the ads were seriously starting to annoy me. Then I realize higher levels require shuffles when you can’t find the words you need to pass a level, and guess what? Shuffles quickly eat game earned coins depending on how many shuffles you need. When you run too low on coin, you either have to pay real money to get more coin for shuffles to help you pass certain levels, basically turning this into a pay to play game, or you’re forced to sit through ads to earn the coin needed, negating the fee paid to remove them and not have to deal with them. Very frustrating. I feel kinda duped now, and since I already paid the ad removal fee, I have decided against deleting it, but will play it a lot less than I would have liked if I’m forced to watch ads for shuffles to pass levels, because I am not going to continually drop real cash for shuffles to help me advance. I don't recommend downloading & playing this game! I have been playing for at 4-5 years. Was fine but is now ridiculous. In the last month the tournaments have not worked right. Starting early, overlapping, ending early & completely disappearing. I am a competitive person and play to win but that can't happen with there is something not functioning properly. They're trying to add to many side puzzles to this game and not maintaining the core game. They don't respond to messages either!
You get 15 short levels before the ads begin. They're annoying, insanely long and make me hate the game. The level is shorter than the freaking ad. Edit: Hey developer, I didn't get to play the game long enough to even decide if purchasing it was even worth it. If you want people to buy your game, let them see how they like it first and don't scare them away with a million ads.
This could be a fun word game but there are forced ads after you complete a puzzle, for no rewards. That's fine. Most apps make these ads something you can exit after 5 seconds. But there's an ad for Cap'n Crunch cereal that pops up often after completing a level, it never ends, you can't exit it, there's never an x to close it. I've walked away for five minutes, this ad was still there. So you have to exit the app and restart it. Oftentimes this means you have to redo the level. Pass.
This is one of the MOST ANNOYING games I've ever played. Way TOO MANY ADS and many times you can't exit from the ads. What few rewards are given for ads aren't worth it. I never have enough coins and earning coins takes forever. Also since I've had this game on my phone several times I mysteriously have other games installed on my cell phone! This never happened before I installed this game. I got this game for rewards on another game. NEVER AGAIN! UNINSTALLING!
I used to love this game. I played the side games more than the actual word games, but it was a delightful way to pass the time. I made the mistake of updating yesterday and the side games (bus jam and the one with the screws) were replaced with something entirely new. I have played the new game several times and have not been able to win one time. This is not enjoyable, obviously. With the update, you will need to purchase to win. I'm not doing pay to play. Deleting.
The game was a kind of fun time waster, but by god, the ads. Ads after every level, sometimes ads when you open the app just to play. So many goddam ads. On top of that, this game would try to force you to join a tournament, to the point where it would highlight the button for it and you couldn't select anything else on screen, forcing you to restart the app just to keep playing, and tried to force me to put in a username for it. I only kept playing the levels to get rewards for another game.
I’ve played this game more than any - ever! I’ve won two championships, have reached level 2148, have almost 25,000 coins, and have amassed many “hints”. Then, the game froze and I can’t move on. I can play the dailies, but not the regular game. I tried the ‘app support’ button and was led to a site that welcomed me to ‘nginx’ and lists of codes, numbers, and dates. I tried ‘developer website’ and received the message that the page was removed. I am so frustrated and unhappy.......and would appreciate any suggestions. Update: even more frustrated! Got NO response to the above; saw a response to someone with he same problem so followed the advice given to that person — uninstall, reinstall, update, and problem solved..... didn’t work for me. So, I finally just started over. I’m now back to level 180, doing well in the current tournament, and realized that I am not getting credit (coins) for all the bonus words......arrrgh! Please help........there are lots of other word games, so I’m probably done with this developer’s games. 2nd update just a few minutes after the last! Lo and behold! I opened the app once again, just to finish the tournament, and all my original coins and hints were restored and I was returned to the level where I froze! Yay!! 5 STARS again!
