Every check deposit photo is 'too bright' and the app won't take the photo. I must wait through its camera timeout then manually take the photo, then repeat the process for the back. When depositing several checks this time adds up quickly. Other than that it works fine. Pixel 8A, up to date and other banking apps work fine.
Great app, and simple to use. I like the fact that I can transfer money between my accounts, lock and unlock my bank cards, check my account balances, and view all of my transactions in just seconds with this app. Also in my opinion US bank has one of the best fraud security alert systems compared to other banks I have had accounts with in the past. This app saves me alot of time that I would otherwise have to use by physically going to a local branch . I give 5 stars
Transaction history search has been replaced with a chatbot that refuses to do anything other than display your 5 most recent transactions, no matter how you ask it to do anything for you. This is not even remotely helpful, as those transactions are ALREADY VISIBLE before even pressing the search button. Previously there was an actual search function which still didn't work well, but at least it existed. The app also freezes whenever I try to change notification settings.
it does allow me to do basic banking activities, but lots of ads and suggestions for additional banking services. lots of clicks to get down to desired activity. and very slow to report transactions. If I make a transfer between accounts, that is reflected right away, but it can take 12 hours or more for me to get a text message that money has left an account. it takes 4 days for my ACH rent payment to be recorded.
Would give 5 stars if I could change my transacrion types without error. My spending shows like its way out of control but thats only because I have put a lot of money into investment accounts via check, but the app has an error when I try to change the category to investments. This makes it hard for me to clearly track my spending and spending habits.
Stay away from mobile deposits!!!! I tried it out after the app said I'd have a certain portion of the funds available to me as soon as it started the processing and then put a hold on my check for the whole weekend. I only tried it out of convenience, but it has turned out to be a horrible decision. I rather walk into the bank from now on than use this junk app.
Functional but bloated with popups and ads begging users to use additional USB services or open new lines. If I wanted to explore your CD rates, I'm perfectly capable of figuring out how on my own. I resent having to clear out a bunch of odious popups every single time I want to check my balance or make a transfer.
Sometimes it takes over 10 attempts to deposit a check via app because it says "we couldn't capture your images"? i know i captured them perfectly, flattened, sharp, in the frame and on the dark surface, so why it doesn't read them? There should be a button to take a photo yourself and not do it automatically. A ton of updates and maintenance, and the capture feature still broken
Update: I've been with US Bank for 29 years. They keep forgetting about the needs of their customers. 'Been using online banking for check deposits for years. The app just stopped working. Found out it's their way of telling you to remove the old app and install the new one. Same thing with online banking with my PC - instead of saying your password must be updated or the login will not work, they just disable the web based login and lock you out. Then u call tech support to fix it. Poor svc
This app does not work with the VPN service that I use. I am able to log in fine on a browser (both mobile and on a pc), but the app won't let me look at my accounts or even log in at this point if I'm on a VPN. App works great if you can get in, though. I just wish it would work with my VPN. This review is so low solely because there is no other way to bring this to their attention, as their customer service for help and feedback is either automated or has you call a number that doesn't help.
So much easier than running to the bank or mailing checks!!! Fast and easy. And above all else, this bank app appears to be very safe, bc the funds are processed, and sent, and deposited directly from one bank to another. I've never had any problems - I don't worry about this app at all. As a matter of fact, I recommend it over PayPal, Venmo, etc.

But it's had a bug for several years now where it doesn't work properly with third party password minders such as Bitwarden or LastPass. You will have to memorize your bank password or use less secure options like biometrics or your clipboard. Since I have to work around the bug every time I open the app it's hard to really love this thing.

Mine does not have an agreement with Zelle so I can't use it anymore. Now I have to resort to physical checks and physically take them to each other's bank. extremely inconvenient
SPECTACULARLY BAD for a banking app! I just opened an account and downloaded this app. Seemingly many "bugs"! It says 2FA isn't ON and phone number is missing (even though it just used both), but trying to add phone number says it already exists; some alert settings do not even show phone or push options; alerts mention "default amounts", but they cannot be changed … and I've only begun to use the app! Really scary!

I love the app. You can do nearly everything on the app yourself. Modify things, apply for nearly anything they offer, open accounts, transfers. Send and receive money with several options and ways. Plus the information for everything is well explained and located so you have the time to take your time. That way you can be sure you understand and have selected exactly what you want. If you have to reach out through the app you can in several ways and they are prompt in response and helpful.

It's very inconvenient to have funds held for an extended period of time. Then they send letters telling you have have reason to believe the check won't clear. We all know funds transfer faster than that.
user friendly but way too pushy Every time I log in to handle my banking I get pop ups for auto transferring some random amount. There's never any less than 3 ads for various services. Frequent requests to update income (why? Its direct deposit. You know what my income is.) Don't get me wrong. The app is very user friendly. It allows me to check on or do my banking anytime or place. You can easily order checks, change pins or get a new card asap. It's just the app has become so ad heavy now.
Search feature frequently doesn't work for merchant. Issue seems intermittent. Today it may work but tomorrow it won't for same merchant. When not working, I can scroll and find them manually but it takes forever and frustrating! I confirm it's spelled right, with ample time selected - sometimes works, most the time doesn't. NEW ISSUE: Keeps logging out every 1-2mins, even while typing in the report issue box. Contact us not working either, shows error message. Have latest version on Samsung.

But it's had a bug for several years now where it doesn't work properly with third party password minders such as Bitwarden or LastPass. You will have to memorize your bank password or use less secure options like biometrics or your clipboard. Great app, and simple to use. I like the fact that I can transfer money between my accounts, lock and unlock my bank cards, check my account balances, and view all of my transactions in just seconds with this app. Also in my opinion US bank has one of the best fraud security alert systems compared to other banks I have had accounts with in the past. This app saves me alot of time that I would otherwise have to use by physically going to a local branch . I give 5 stars
I love the app. You can do nearly everything on the app yourself. Modify things, apply for nearly anything they offer, open accounts, transfers. Send and receive money with several options and ways. Plus the information for everything is well explained and located so you have the time to take your time. That way you can be sure you understand and have selected exactly what you want. If you have to reach out through the app you can in several ways and they are prompt in response and helpful.
So much easier than running to the bank or mailing checks!!! Fast and easy. And above all else, this bank app appears to be very safe, bc the funds are processed, and sent, and deposited directly from one bank to another. I've never had any problems - I don't worry about this app at all. As a matter of fact, I recommend it over PayPal, Venmo, etc.
Sometimes it takes over 10 attempts to deposit a check via app because it says "we couldn't capture your images"? i know i captured them perfectly, flattened, sharp, in the frame and on the dark surface, so why it doesn't read them? There should be a button to take a photo yourself and not do it automatically. A ton of updates and maintenance, and the capture feature still broken
I use this app often on my Google Pixel 8 Android, has always worked well. Only negative is for some reason they started automatically turning on the flashlight when taking a pic to deposit a check. It's too bright on my phone, I have to manually turn the flashlight off 2x for every deposit (once for front and once for back of check). Would be nice to have a setting to not auto-flash. If there is one, I haven't found it. Thanks

My spending shows like its way out of control but thats only because I have put a lot of money into investment accounts via check, but the app has an error when I try to change the category to investments. This makes it hard for me to clearly track my spending and spending habits.
FIRST REVIEW(4 Stars)...THIS REVIEW(3): Checking and Saving account (Great), until you open a credit card with 2% cashback on everything (Are points, not $$$ then you choose to redeem) but is a headache. I choose, then I have to choose again, and it is like a loop. Then the payments to the credit card don't update; they took the money for my checking account, but it doesn't update the available credit, even shows as completed, but not available. The credit cards are bad, but checking is great!!!
Nice app and easy to use. My issue is, if you're a small business and you need access to your funds, they hold checks up to 2 weeks. It's very inconvenient to have funds held for an extended period of time. Then they send letters telling you have have reason to believe the check won't clear. We all know funds transfer faster than that.

If I make a transfer between accounts, that is reflected right away, but it can take 12 hours or more for me to get a text message that money has left an account. it takes 4 days for my ACH rent payment to be recorded.

I resent having to clear out a bunch of odious popups every single time I want to check my balance or make a transfer.
Every check deposit photo is 'too bright' and the app won't take the photo. I must wait through its camera timeout then manually take the photo, then repeat the process for the back. When depositing several checks this time adds up quickly. Other than that it works fine. Pixel 8A, up to date and other banking apps work fine.

But it's had a bug for several years now where it doesn't work properly with third party password minders such as Bitwarden or LastPass. You will have to memorize your bank password or use less secure options like biometrics or your clipboard. Since I have to work around the bug every time I open the app it's hard to really love this thing.
extremely helpful for transferring money between accounts quickly. however I am only giving it a 2 instead of a 5 because you took away the ability to use the stand-alone app. We should not have to do it through our banking institution. Mine does not have an agreement with Zelle so I can't use it anymore. Now I have to resort to physical checks and physically take them to each other's bank. extremely inconvenient
user friendly but way too pushy Every time I log in to handle my banking I get pop ups for auto transferring some random amount. There's never any less than 3 ads for various services. Frequent requests to update income (why? Its direct deposit. You know what my income is.) Don't get me wrong. The app is very user friendly. It allows me to check on or do my banking anytime or place. You can easily order checks, change pins or get a new card asap. It's just the app has become so ad heavy now.

Found out it's their way of telling you to remove the old app and install the new one. I am able to log in fine on a browser (both mobile and on a pc), but the app won't let me look at my accounts or even log in at this point if I'm on a VPN. App works great if you can get in, though. I just wish it would work with my VPN. This review is so low solely because there is no other way to bring this to their attention, as their customer service for help and feedback is either automated or has you call a number that doesn't help.
SPECTACULARLY BAD for a banking app! I just opened an account and downloaded this app. Seemingly many "bugs"! It says 2FA isn't ON and phone number is missing (even though it just used both), but trying to add phone number says it already exists; some alert settings do not even show phone or push options; alerts mention "default amounts", but they cannot be changed … and I've only begun to use the app! Really scary!
