Was looking for an app like this one and boy am I happy. Works great. I have a tablet, and I don't have a convenient keyboard setup for it—so if I want to type something quickly, this is a perfect solution so I don't have to get an adaptor and set it all up. Also, I was worried the keyboard wouldn't use my default—If you just click the basic input remote instead of the keyboard remote, you can use your phone's default keyboard :^)
It's pretty good, and easy to use. I am using it to be able to send speech to text through my phone using Google keyboard, and I want that text to fill up my Word document on the laptop. But if I rattle off too much rather fast, it sometimes, for some reason, backtracks and erases what it had written to write it again, as if it were thinking twice. Alternatively, I use the laptop's built in speech to text for comparison between the systems. Both do equally well. This remot wins in convenience.
This is a good app with that displays how simple looking great programming can be. It does have its bugs in different platforms and applications, but what doesn't. I use it on several phones and tablets with many different terminals. My biggest issue is server-client connection loss. But as I use different client platforms and different server platforms and connections, they usually present different issues. Still 5 out of 5 stars! My less tech savvy friends are amazed!! Lol, thank you team!!
Works every time. No fussing around with trying to get it to work. I loaded to program to the computer and I let it run whenever the computer starts up, no need to restart the program when it reboots (computer: Dell XPS and phone: OnePlus 7 pro). Works with either WiFi or Bluetooth. It has a nice UI which is easy to understand. The extra option gives me better control over how I use it as a mouse and keyboard from my phone. Worth the money.
Everything works as it should. Although not as well as it should. Whenever im moving the mouse it constantly freezes for about 2 seconds every 4-6 seconds. Leaving about a third of the entire time I spend using the mouse on this app waiting for the mouse to unfreeze. Very irritating. Seems to be a Wi-Fi auto-config and/or firewall issue on one or both sides best guess. If this we're fixed, this would be thr best app ive ever had hands down.
Updating my review from 2014 in 2021. I've used it to shutting down my PC when I'm away from my computer, as a mouse and keyboard, and remote screen viewer. Currently I've got it set up to toggle between my 2 PC screens and my TV connected to my computer. There may be other tools out there these days but it's super simple and still useful to me 7 years later.
It's worth it for the paid version, and this app is better than another one I tried called Remote Mouse, which had frequent disconnections on current hardware. This app runs more smoothly and doesn't consume many resources on my phone or PC. I haven't had any tech issues that restarting the server or app hasn't fixed. I'm able to use my PC as a TV and phone as a remote, and the screen view mode is useful when in another room and quickly need to send a document, show someone something, etc. A+
Through the years this app has stuck as one of the most dependable PC remote control solutions out there! It includes just about every major app out there in its list of controllable apps, and it works really well! The stability of the connection is amazing compared to other solutions out there. And the fact that you can literally add, remove, and edit remotes with a text editor on the PC makes life so much easier! It does take some digging to get to the files that define the remotes though.
I don't know where I'd be without Unified Remote. The custom widgets let me turn an entire launcher page into a modular remote for everything I care about: turning my monitors on and off, media playback, wake on LAN, volume, and countless other important tasks. The server application on the PC side of things is very low-impact on system resources as well. Every time I set up a new android phone (more often then I'd care to admit), UR is literally the first application I install every time.
Pleasantly surprised as I wondered earlier if there is such an app that allows me to use my smartphone as a remote, keyboard, and mouse control over my PC. Apparently this app has everything I need to do so. Response feels a bit faster than my keyboard track pad. Love it so much that I purchased the full version, though the ad one will still function just fine. I use this nearly daily so it's one of the more used apps when I'm at home. Kudos to the developers for making this app!
Pay the $5. It can be the best money you ever spent. So many useful day to day things that make life easier. I found the free version to be great. Not "bait and switch" with the useful things ONLY with paid version/ annual subscription. I liked the simple media control initially, which was free (mute, volume, pause). It worked great just for not having to run to my PC to answer a call. NOTE: Paid version is for a PLATFORM - so NOT per device. My Android phone and tablets can control all!
Always been my only go-to app on all devices for years, & I even bought it on the iPad, but suddenly this is not recognizing my purchase on new phone, no matter what I do. I just see the subscription option on the side & none of the remotes I've always had. Honestly this is probably the best remote app out there, The amount of customizability is insane, especially if you can script & you know how to make your own little remote interface, but if I can't even use my purchase, who cares🤷🏻♂️
If you're hesitating to download or purchase the full version... Don't. Just just do it. There's a reason you see almost nothing but 5 star reviews. This is by far, hands down one of the most useful apps in the Play Store that gets installed immediately on every phone and they PC I purchase. I've been using it for years and plan on using it for many more. Well worth the fair price. Good job developers. And thank you.
It's trash. I'm literally only like 10 feet away from my pc and the mouse will constantly just stop moving when I'm using basic input. I have to restart the app for it to work again, it'll work for 1 minute, then just stop and i have to restart it again. 9 times out of 10 i get server disconnected message. extremely aggravating. don't waste your money.
Would give 5 stars if the Widgets on the homescreen actually looked nice. There should be more options to customize the looks. Rounded edges on all buttons would be nice, not just the ugly slants on the corners of the widgets. Otherwise, it is very easy to use, can open Media and play right from phone, amazing app. Get it instead of those terrible Mini Keyboards. Only $5 (at time if writing) and outperforms in every way.
update: The app has recently stopped working even after reinstall. I have tried many PC mouse control apps and this one by far is the best. Not only do you get basic mouse and keyboard control, but there are controls for more than 70 common actions and applications. I switched to this app initially because my prior app was lagging, this app has not had any issues as of now
game changer. I have my PC connected to my main, TV and a monitor I use that's about 10 ft away in front of my lounge chair. with this app I can control everything without having a separate mouse/keyboard. also, I can switch the monitors with its own remote in the app. the many different remote types is prob the thing that makes this better and different than others. and with the macro abilities on android you can make widget buttons to quickly control whatever you want without even opening app
Little wonky at times, but the sheer amount of things this thing can do is crazy! It is extremely helpful for when I'm drawing on my art tablet and have to name layers. My computer is at a 90° angle to my tablet's stand, due to an L-shaped desk setup. Thanks to this app, I can connect my phone to my computer and use my phone's keyboard, instead of having to try to type on my computer while trying to look at my tablet at the same time. But that's just the tip of the iceberg of this app!

And thank you.
game changer.
If this we're fixed, this would be thr best app ive ever had hands down.
update: The app has recently stopped working even after reinstall. I have tried many PC mouse control apps and this one by far is the best. Not only do you get basic mouse and keyboard control, but there are controls for more than 70 common actions and applications. I switched to this app initially because my prior app was lagging, this app has not had any issues as of now
Always been my only go-to app on all devices for years, & I even bought it on the iPad, but suddenly this is not recognizing my purchase on new phone, no matter what I do. I just see the subscription option on the side & none of the remotes I've always had. Honestly this is probably the best remote app out there, The amount of customizability is insane, especially if you can script & you know how to make your own little remote interface, but if I can't even use my purchase, who cares🤷🏻♂️
