This app no longer works for me. it will not accept my payment with a credit card I've been using on their app for years. I've called customer service and tried their suggestions:uninstall app and reload, bought a new phone since they thought it was a software issue, Nothing works. Discussed with associates at Ulta, it seems I'm not the only one who is having problems with the app. I would think they are losing a lot of money with this issue. I'm so frustrated!

The app is so glitchy!! I use multiple apps at one time on my phone with no problem. BUT, the Ulta Beauty app keeps freezing and then stopping as much as every 10 minutes or as little as every three minutes. It then kicks back to the home screen and I have to find where I was and start over. Not only that, but any app I am also using at the time gets totally shut down so I have to chase it down, open it again and find where I was. VERY ANNOYING to the point of uninstalling the app altogether.

Tried to make an online purchase using my ulta rewards card. I get to the finalize purchase and the ulta system says it can't verify my billing address. It's the same as my shipping address. This happened 2 days consecutively. I called customer service and was told to wait another 2 or 3 days. Also to screen shot in coupons that might not be available once the app is working again. Very disappointing in the app and customer service 😒

It's ok-- convenient, easy to search & navigate, etc. But there's a consistent, ongoing problem with links that aren't clickable. For example there will be a promotion with a 'Shop Now' link, but nothing happens when you click & there’s no way to get to the promotion page. Same thing when I try to book a salon appointment: the 'Book Now' button doesn't work. It's frustrating.

I think the app is awesome I especially love the barcode scanner because it makes it so much easier to get the prices of things, instead of having to read tiny letters, trying to decipher which product is which, you can just scan the barcode and it's right there at your fingertips. The only complaint I do have about the app is that you can't talk to text in the search bar It only types part of what you're saying which is annoying and inconvenient, but the barcode scanner makes up for it.

This app is frustrating as hell. Twice already, when I check out and approve payment, it acts like it goes through, but then the screen goes white and it kicks me from the app. When I log back in, nothing is in my cart, but there are also no recent purchase orders, so I don't know if the payment did or did not go through. It's annoying.

The app glitches often and when you try to report a technical issue, they won't listen and don't get it. For example, one issue is that on a product page, when you tap the drop down list and choose to add more than 1 of the item to the bag, the app still only adds 1 item. So you'd be thinking you added 2 or more but only 1 goes to the cart. This glitch is really easy to miss when you have a bigger order and causes issues. They need to be doing good UAT and regression testing.

06/2025 Unable to log in AGAIN since May. *** Since the last update, unable to "save for later" and my existing saved list is now gone. Freezes up and I constantly get booted from it. Coupons/promos in app don't match the current offers. Filters don't always work and often the Search doesn't find products that I know are there and I have to find them via other ways.

I usually don't write reviews but my experience with Ulta lately makes me want to warn other customers. I placed 3 orders on the Ulta app to be shipped. Out of the 3 orders I only received 1. The other 2 say delivered but they have not. I was definitely charged for everything. My daughter and I were also excited to try the free gifts that we would of received with our orders but now we are not going to get any of those. This experience has been terrible & I will never order online again.

I love Ulta, but this app never works right. The links don't open to the correct page, I can rarely get coupons to apply or navigate check out (most of the time, the checkout page won't even load). I have to end up using my desktop computer to order from the online site because it forces me to use the app when I'm on my phone. I really wish it worked better. Their website works great when it doesn't force you to use the app.

It's okay. For a while it would sign me out and I would have to sign back in. The search bar needs work. After you hit search, and you need to move the curser to the beginning of the phrase to add a brand name or specify your search, it'll begin typing at the end instead of where you placed the curser. I also think people struggle finding their points and/or accessing coupons (e.g. birthday gift and birthday $10 off coupon).

I purchased items showing in stock. I received an email stating they were getting my order ready and should be available in a few hours. I then received a follow-up email later stating that part of my order was canceled due to items not in stock and also stated, " we promise you will not be charged for the canceled items." In fact I was charged for the items out of stock and I will have to wait 3-5 business days for my refund. Spoke with cust. service rep. to ask for compensation was told No.

App is alright (search could be better; more specific/exact) but the brand lacks something (to me) when it comes to Men's fragrance availability and variety. Constantly seems behind on new releases also (app and in store). _ Update: Reduced to one star because they cancelled my shipping order when I've never used their shipping option before. I guess it's because I used my points and a coupon for a huge discount. They didn't send an email to clairify why.

This app is always having problems. Some items won't load. It will say something is available for pickup but says it isn't in available when checking out (but then say it's available again). It won't apply the coupon sometimes on normal, everyday items that qualify for coupons but then works again a few hours later. It's unreliable.

Nothing about this app works right and it's always a massive pain to use. Won't let me change my password that it doesn't recognize, nor allow me to chat with anyone, nor keep me logged in when I always check the box to. Even if logged in, it's still incredibly inconsistent and never works while at the store. What makes it extra frustrating is it forces you to use this useless app to accomplish most things rather than allowing me to use a reliable browser.

Every time I sign into my ultra credit card, it says my password is wrong. I have had to change my password every time I log in. It's almost as if they don't want you to be able to make payments and see your statements easily. I will reset the password to the password it doesn't recognize and it will say " I can't use the previous password." Why didn't it work in the first place?! Improve your app so payments can be made. Interest is high on the card as it is.

I just had to update the app and now it won't log me in. I'm putting in my correct email and password and it keeps sending me a code to enter to verify that it's me. Once I enter the code it sends me back to the create an account page. I'm just going in circles. I've tried to reach out to customer service but I keep getting an "error page not found" message. So for now, I can't use the app.

Horrible! My account was hacked by an Ulta employee and when I called to to inform that the person is still able to access the account even after the password was changed multiple times, they still only sent a password reset link. The security of the app is terrible! Further, the app does not allow you to apply coupons on most occasions, and the apply button keeps popping up each time you tap it. There is a glitch.

Three issues: 1) I cannot place ANY orders online with any credit or debit payments. It is not a bank issue, I've checked. 2) You can't submit a help desk ticket properly because you can't select a subcategory which is required. 3) You can't add a coupon on the app because the keyboard won't disappear long enough to click "done". You're forcing me to shop at sephora, which i don't want to do, but never any responses here so I'm sure you don't care.

Ulta has become the master of hidden free gift messaging. I placed an online order for pickup in store, and three items had "free gift with purchase " under the item. I use the product, so it was perfect. No such luck, nothing extra was in my bag. The girl had me go to the items on the website and click the "free gift," which opened up a whole section of small print. you had to spend so much of x (which I did) and didn't count if you picked up in store. They were a better store years ago!

I'm rating this app more from the point of view as UX/UI designer. All in all the app has been more impressive than I thought possible. I have access to what I want, in the areas I expect them to be. As someone who had never interacted with the app before, I was able to find a coupon to use starting day one. I checked out my profile info and was able to edit my new shipping address straight from the app. When I'm on a product page, I can favorite my specific skin tone on a foundation. I can write a review straight within the app as well, although I noticed that I can't apply review tags as I am able to do on the desktop site. I'd also like the ability to save my nickname when rating, but that seems like more of an account issue than the app. Since I'm talking about the review and rating ability in this app, I'd like to mention that I almost missed the Write a Review link after I tapped the Reviews button. My suggestion would be to make it a button in order to give the CTA more attention. All in all, solid app. The best design is the one you don't notice, and this experience was very smooth. Props to the team who developed the Ulta app. EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'd love the ability to add items to a wishlist within the app.

I love basically everything about the app, EXCEPT I absolutely hate how there isn’t multiple pictures of one product. Especially if I’m looking at colored cosmetics... Obviously if I really was concerned about making sure I’m getting the correct shade of something or if I’m trying to color match myself, I would then just go to the nearest Ulta location. But still, I wish they would have the option of being able to at least see some kind of side by side swatches of the products, (similar to the Sephora App work...), so you could see all the shades next to one another in a photo to help you compare the different shades of one product. Especially when it comes to any colored base products like foundations, concealers, bronzers, etc. because I still believe that you could make a decent choice when shade matching or whatever using the Ulta App or their website if you have the right photos. And I know you could also research some photos online through Instagram as well for further side by side swatches. Instagram does have the best photos of swatches and I’m not asking for the Ulta App to compete with that, but just to have some would be amazing!!! But honestly it’s such a great app for the most part! Yeah I have a few other annoyances about the app but this would for sure be at the top of that list! But nonetheless...I definitely would recommend!

I only wish I had found ULTA sooner. You carry all the best brands of Make up, Hot tools, Shampoo & Conditioners and so much more. Your prices and freebies are unbeatable! You put together a store that has everything you need. I am in Love! My most favorite thing about ULTA is being able to get high end products, like Clinique foundation and Moisturizer at the same price or lower. I will never have to stand in line at a cosmetic counter, ever again. Your small trial size bottle’s are perfect. They last long enough for you to know whether, it works for you or not. So when buying a large bottle you are confident, in buying a large bottle. I shop at ULTA for my whole family and have never been disappointed. You give great information on your products so you know exactly what your getting. At Cosmetic counters your stuck to pick and choose quickly. You hope the 50$ eye cream you bought, gives you the result you wanted! With ULTA you are not rushed, giving you time to read about the products you want. The details are so important and you deliver in that regard! Lastly the product deals you notify me of, are wonderful. Thank you ULTA, I could not ask for more. You have covered every base! I found the app a bit frustrating when trying to do pick-up in store. I checked off for in-store pick up cause I needed the items today and it’s right up the road but when I paid it automatically switched for it to be shipped without prompting me. Also added $30 more dollars to the already $200 order. I couldn’t figure out why. Contacted customer service and told there might not be a way to cancel and I’ll have to wait to return items. Over $200 in products I needed to pick up today I was told I have to wait to not only get the products but then to just return them. Going to the store to pick up items I needed today and spending another $200+ wasn’t an option. Beyond frustrating. Fortunately they WERE able to cancel my order and I realized what had happened. Apparently when Ulta offers you a “free gift” and the store you want to pick up from doesn’t have the free gift in stock they automatically switch to shipping without asking/prompting you if that’s what you want to do or if you just want to not get the gift. I didn’t care about the gift to begin with. I cared about being able to go pick up the products I wanted today and spent all morning dealing with this instead of taking care of other things I need to do. This was supposed to save me time and it was just a huge unnecessary hassle.

First of all, I have only one or two complaints about this app. Other than the few complaints its mostly ideas on how to make it work better/more efficiently. The complaints are the following, the app does crash from time to time which is obviously going to happen. Also, some of the products that I know are out in stores weren't showing up to buy from the app. But other than that I think that's all the complaints I have. For the improvements/things, I think would make it better. I think it would be nice to have a live HUMAN ”assistant” for finding out what products would be best for your skin shade, undertone, type and more. (without sacrificing privacy and all) Also if you can't find your undertone have a test to see what undertone you are. Also, a button or something to click to get a small sample of perfume before you buy it may be for free or a couple of dollars something reasonable for something you're just trying to smell before you buy the whole thing. And what about an alert when something that has been out of stock comes back in stock. (hint hint James Charles morphe pallet lol) but I think that concludes this review! Keep up the great work!!❤️✨

Twice already, when I check out and approve payment, it acts like it goes through, but then the screen goes white and it kicks me from the app. When I log back in, nothing is in my cart, but there are also no recent purchase orders, so I don't know if the payment did or did not go through. It's annoying.

The app glitches often and when you try to report a technical issue, they won't listen and don't get it. For example, one issue is that on a product page, when you tap the drop down list and choose to add more than 1 of the item to the bag, the app still only adds 1 item. So you'd be thinking you added 2 or more but only 1 goes to the cart. This glitch is really easy to miss when you have a bigger order and causes issues. They need to be doing good UAT and regression testing.

06/2025 Unable to log in AGAIN since May. *** Since the last update, unable to "save for later" and my existing saved list is now gone. Freezes up and I constantly get booted from it. Coupons/promos in app don't match the current offers. Filters don't always work and often the Search doesn't find products that I know are there and I have to find them via other ways.

I usually don't write reviews but my experience with Ulta lately makes me want to warn other customers. I placed 3 orders on the Ulta app to be shipped. Out of the 3 orders I only received 1. The other 2 say delivered but they have not. I was definitely charged for everything. My daughter and I were also excited to try the free gifts that we would of received with our orders but now we are not going to get any of those. This experience has been terrible & I will never order online again.

I love Ulta, but this app never works right. The links don't open to the correct page, I can rarely get coupons to apply or navigate check out (most of the time, the checkout page won't even load). I have to end up using my desktop computer to order from the online site because it forces me to use the app when I'm on my phone. I really wish it worked better. Their website works great when it doesn't force you to use the app.

It's okay. For a while it would sign me out and I would have to sign back in. The search bar needs work. After you hit search, and you need to move the curser to the beginning of the phrase to add a brand name or specify your search, it'll begin typing at the end instead of where you placed the curser. I also think people struggle finding their points and/or accessing coupons (e.g. birthday gift and birthday $10 off coupon).

I purchased items showing in stock. I received an email stating they were getting my order ready and should be available in a few hours. I then received a follow-up email later stating that part of my order was canceled due to items not in stock and also stated, " we promise you will not be charged for the canceled items." In fact I was charged for the items out of stock and I will have to wait 3-5 business days for my refund. Spoke with cust. service rep. to ask for compensation was told No.

App is alright (search could be better; more specific/exact) but the brand lacks something (to me) when it comes to Men's fragrance availability and variety. Constantly seems behind on new releases also (app and in store). _ Update: Reduced to one star because they cancelled my shipping order when I've never used their shipping option before. I guess it's because I used my points and a coupon for a huge discount. They didn't send an email to clairify why.

This app is always having problems. Some items won't load. It will say something is available for pickup but says it isn't in available when checking out (but then say it's available again). It won't apply the coupon sometimes on normal, everyday items that qualify for coupons but then works again a few hours later. It's unreliable.

Nothing about this app works right and it's always a massive pain to use. Won't let me change my password that it doesn't recognize, nor allow me to chat with anyone, nor keep me logged in when I always check the box to. Even if logged in, it's still incredibly inconsistent and never works while at the store. What makes it extra frustrating is it forces you to use this useless app to accomplish most things rather than allowing me to use a reliable browser.

Every time I sign into my ultra credit card, it says my password is wrong. I have had to change my password every time I log in. It's almost as if they don't want you to be able to make payments and see your statements easily. I will reset the password to the password it doesn't recognize and it will say " I can't use the previous password." Why didn't it work in the first place?! Improve your app so payments can be made. Interest is high on the card as it is.

I just had to update the app and now it won't log me in. I'm putting in my correct email and password and it keeps sending me a code to enter to verify that it's me. Once I enter the code it sends me back to the create an account page. I'm just going in circles. I've tried to reach out to customer service but I keep getting an "error page not found" message. So for now, I can't use the app.

Horrible! My account was hacked by an Ulta employee and when I called to to inform that the person is still able to access the account even after the password was changed multiple times, they still only sent a password reset link. The security of the app is terrible! Further, the app does not allow you to apply coupons on most occasions, and the apply button keeps popping up each time you tap it. There is a glitch.

Three issues: 1) I cannot place ANY orders online with any credit or debit payments. It is not a bank issue, I've checked. 2) You can't submit a help desk ticket properly because you can't select a subcategory which is required. 3) You can't add a coupon on the app because the keyboard won't disappear long enough to click "done". You're forcing me to shop at sephora, which i don't want to do, but never any responses here so I'm sure you don't care.

Ulta has become the master of hidden free gift messaging. I placed an online order for pickup in store, and three items had "free gift with purchase " under the item. I use the product, so it was perfect. No such luck, nothing extra was in my bag. The girl had me go to the items on the website and click the "free gift," which opened up a whole section of small print. you had to spend so much of x (which I did) and didn't count if you picked up in store. They were a better store years ago!

First of all, I have only one or two complaints about this app. Other than the few complaints its mostly ideas on how to make it work better/more efficiently. The complaints are the following, the app does crash from time to time which is obviously going to happen. Also, some of the products that I know are out in stores weren't showing up to buy from the app. But other than that I think that's all the complaints I have. For the improvements/things, I think would make it better. I think it would be nice to have a live HUMAN ”assistant” for finding out what products would be best for your skin shade, undertone, type and more. (without sacrificing privacy and all) Also if you can't find your undertone have a test to see what undertone you are. Also, a button or something to click to get a small sample of perfume before you buy it may be for free or a couple of dollars something reasonable for something you're just trying to smell before you buy the whole thing. And what about an alert when something that has been out of stock comes back in stock. (hint hint James Charles morphe pallet lol) but I think that concludes this review! Keep up the great work!!❤️✨

I found the app a bit frustrating when trying to do pick-up in store. I checked off for in-store pick up cause I needed the items today and it’s right up the road but when I paid it automatically switched for it to be shipped without prompting me. Also added $30 more dollars to the already $200 order. I couldn’t figure out why. Contacted customer service and told there might not be a way to cancel and I’ll have to wait to return items. Over $200 in products I needed to pick up today I was told I have to wait to not only get the products but then to just return them. Going to the store to pick up items I needed today and spending another $200+ wasn’t an option. Beyond frustrating. Fortunately they WERE able to cancel my order and I realized what had happened. Apparently when Ulta offers you a “free gift” and the store you want to pick up from doesn’t have the free gift in stock they automatically switch to shipping without asking/prompting you if that’s what you want to do or if you just want to not get the gift. I didn’t care about the gift to begin with. I cared about being able to go pick up the products I wanted today and spent all morning dealing with this instead of taking care of other things I need to do. This was supposed to save me time and it was just a huge unnecessary hassle.

I'm rating this app more from the point of view as UX/UI designer. All in all the app has been more impressive than I thought possible. I have access to what I want, in the areas I expect them to be. As someone who had never interacted with the app before, I was able to find a coupon to use starting day one. I checked out my profile info and was able to edit my new shipping address straight from the app. When I'm on a product page, I can favorite my specific skin tone on a foundation. I can write a review straight within the app as well, although I noticed that I can't apply review tags as I am able to do on the desktop site. I'd also like the ability to save my nickname when rating, but that seems like more of an account issue than the app. Since I'm talking about the review and rating ability in this app, I'd like to mention that I almost missed the Write a Review link after I tapped the Reviews button. My suggestion would be to make it a button in order to give the CTA more attention. All in all, solid app. The best design is the one you don't notice, and this experience was very smooth. Props to the team who developed the Ulta app. EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'd love the ability to add items to a wishlist within the app.

I love basically everything about the app, EXCEPT I absolutely hate how there isn’t multiple pictures of one product. Especially if I’m looking at colored cosmetics... Obviously if I really was concerned about making sure I’m getting the correct shade of something or if I’m trying to color match myself, I would then just go to the nearest Ulta location. But still, I wish they would have the option of being able to at least see some kind of side by side swatches of the products, (similar to the Sephora App work...), so you could see all the shades next to one another in a photo to help you compare the different shades of one product. Especially when it comes to any colored base products like foundations, concealers, bronzers, etc. because I still believe that you could make a decent choice when shade matching or whatever using the Ulta App or their website if you have the right photos. And I know you could also research some photos online through Instagram as well for further side by side swatches. Instagram does have the best photos of swatches and I’m not asking for the Ulta App to compete with that, but just to have some would be amazing!!! But honestly it’s such a great app for the most part! Yeah I have a few other annoyances about the app but this would for sure be at the top of that list! But nonetheless...I definitely would recommend!

I only wish I had found ULTA sooner. You carry all the best brands of Make up, Hot tools, Shampoo & Conditioners and so much more. Your prices and freebies are unbeatable! You put together a store that has everything you need. I am in Love! My most favorite thing about ULTA is being able to get high end products, like Clinique foundation and Moisturizer at the same price or lower. I will never have to stand in line at a cosmetic counter, ever again. Your small trial size bottle’s are perfect. They last long enough for you to know whether, it works for you or not. So when buying a large bottle you are confident, in buying a large bottle. I shop at ULTA for my whole family and have never been disappointed. You give great information on your products so you know exactly what your getting. At Cosmetic counters your stuck to pick and choose quickly. You hope the 50$ eye cream you bought, gives you the result you wanted! With ULTA you are not rushed, giving you time to read about the products you want. The details are so important and you deliver in that regard! Lastly the product deals you notify me of, are wonderful. Thank you ULTA, I could not ask for more. You have covered every base! The app is so glitchy!! I use multiple apps at one time on my phone with no problem. BUT, the Ulta Beauty app keeps freezing and then stopping as much as every 10 minutes or as little as every three minutes. It then kicks back to the home screen and I have to find where I was and start over. Not only that, but any app I am also using at the time gets totally shut down so I have to chase it down, open it again and find where I was. VERY ANNOYING to the point of uninstalling the app altogether.

Tried to make an online purchase using my ulta rewards card. I get to the finalize purchase and the ulta system says it can't verify my billing address. It's the same as my shipping address. This happened 2 days consecutively. I called customer service and was told to wait another 2 or 3 days. Also to screen shot in coupons that might not be available once the app is working again. Very disappointing in the app and customer service 😒

It's ok-- convenient, easy to search & navigate, etc. But there's a consistent, ongoing problem with links that aren't clickable. For example there will be a promotion with a 'Shop Now' link, but nothing happens when you click & there’s no way to get to the promotion page. Same thing when I try to book a salon appointment: the 'Book Now' button doesn't work. It's frustrating.

I think the app is awesome I especially love the barcode scanner because it makes it so much easier to get the prices of things, instead of having to read tiny letters, trying to decipher which product is which, you can just scan the barcode and it's right there at your fingertips. The only complaint I do have about the app is that you can't talk to text in the search bar It only types part of what you're saying which is annoying and inconvenient, but the barcode scanner makes up for it.

I only wish I had found ULTA sooner. You carry all the best brands of Make up, Hot tools, Shampoo & Conditioners and so much more. Your prices and freebies are unbeatable! You put together a store that has everything you need. I am in Love! My most favorite thing about ULTA is being able to get high end products, like Clinique foundation and Moisturizer at the same price or lower. I will never have to stand in line at a cosmetic counter, ever again. Your small trial size bottle’s are perfect. They last long enough for you to know whether, it works for you or not. So when buying a large bottle you are confident, in buying a large bottle. I shop at ULTA for my whole family and have never been disappointed. You give great information on your products so you know exactly what your getting. At Cosmetic counters your stuck to pick and choose quickly. You hope the 50$ eye cream you bought, gives you the result you wanted! With ULTA you are not rushed, giving you time to read about the products you want. I love basically everything about the app, EXCEPT I absolutely hate how there isn’t multiple pictures of one product. Especially if I’m looking at colored cosmetics... Obviously if I really was concerned about making sure I’m getting the correct shade of something or if I’m trying to color match myself, I would then just go to the nearest Ulta location. But still, I wish they would have the option of being able to at least see some kind of side by side swatches of the products, (similar to the Sephora App work...), so you could see all the shades next to one another in a photo to help you compare the different shades of one product. Especially when it comes to any colored base products like foundations, concealers, bronzers, etc. because I still believe that you could make a decent choice when shade matching or whatever using the Ulta App or their website if you have the right photos. And I know you could also research some photos online through Instagram as well for further side by side swatches. Instagram does have the best photos of swatches and I’m not asking for the Ulta App to compete with that, but just to have some would be amazing!!! But honestly it’s such a great app for the most part! Yeah I have a few other annoyances about the app but this would for sure be at the top of that list! But nonetheless...I definitely would recommend!

The app glitches often and when you try to report a technical issue, they won't listen and don't get it. For example, one issue is that on a product page, when you tap the drop down list and choose to add more than 1 of the item to the bag, the app still only adds 1 item. So you'd be thinking you added 2 or more but only 1 goes to the cart. This glitch is really easy to miss when you have a bigger order and causes issues. They need to be doing good UAT and regression testing.

It's okay. For a while it would sign me out and I would have to sign back in. The search bar needs work. After you hit search, and you need to move the curser to the beginning of the phrase to add a brand name or specify your search, it'll begin typing at the end instead of where you placed the curser. I also think people struggle finding their points and/or accessing coupons (e.g. birthday gift and birthday $10 off coupon).

I found the app a bit frustrating when trying to do pick-up in store. I checked off for in-store pick up cause I needed the items today and it’s right up the road but when I paid it automatically switched for it to be shipped without prompting me. Also added $30 more dollars to the already $200 order. I couldn’t figure out why. Contacted customer service and told there might not be a way to cancel and I’ll have to wait to return items. Over $200 in products I needed to pick up today I was told I have to wait to not only get the products but then to just return them. Going to the store to pick up items I needed today and spending another $200+ wasn’t an option. Beyond frustrating. Fortunately they WERE able to cancel my order and I realized what had happened. Apparently when Ulta offers you a “free gift” and the store you want to pick up from doesn’t have the free gift in stock they automatically switch to shipping without asking/prompting you if that’s what you want to do or if you just want to not get the gift. I didn’t care about the gift to begin with. I cared about being able to go pick up the products I wanted today and spent all morning dealing with this instead of taking care of other things I need to do. This was supposed to save me time and it was just a huge unnecessary hassle.

It's ok-- convenient, easy to search & navigate, etc. But there's a consistent, ongoing problem with links that aren't clickable. For example there will be a promotion with a 'Shop Now' link, but nothing happens when you click & there’s no way to get to the promotion page. Same thing when I try to book a salon appointment: the 'Book Now' button doesn't work. It's frustrating.

I love Ulta, but this app never works right. The links don't open to the correct page, I can rarely get coupons to apply or navigate check out (most of the time, the checkout page won't even load). I have to end up using my desktop computer to order from the online site because it forces me to use the app when I'm on my phone. I really wish it worked better. Their website works great when it doesn't force you to use the app.

This app is always having problems. Some items won't load. It will say something is available for pickup but says it isn't in available when checking out (but then say it's available again). It won't apply the coupon sometimes on normal, everyday items that qualify for coupons but then works again a few hours later. It's unreliable.

Every time I sign into my ultra credit card, it says my password is wrong. I have had to change my password every time I log in. It's almost as if they don't want you to be able to make payments and see your statements easily. I will reset the password to the password it doesn't recognize and it will say " I can't use the previous password." Why didn't it work in the first place?! Improve your app so payments can be made. Interest is high on the card as it is.

The app is so glitchy!! I use multiple apps at one time on my phone with no problem. BUT, the Ulta Beauty app keeps freezing and then stopping as much as every 10 minutes or as little as every three minutes. It then kicks back to the home screen and I have to find where I was and start over. Not only that, but any app I am also using at the time gets totally shut down so I have to chase it down, open it again and find where I was. VERY ANNOYING to the point of uninstalling the app altogether.

Tried to make an online purchase using my ulta rewards card. I get to the finalize purchase and the ulta system says it can't verify my billing address. It's the same as my shipping address. This happened 2 days consecutively. I called customer service and was told to wait another 2 or 3 days. Also to screen shot in coupons that might not be available once the app is working again. Very disappointing in the app and customer service 😒

This app is frustrating as hell. Twice already, when I check out and approve payment, it acts like it goes through, but then the screen goes white and it kicks me from the app. When I log back in, nothing is in my cart, but there are also no recent purchase orders, so I don't know if the payment did or did not go through. It's annoying.

06/2025 Unable to log in AGAIN since May. *** Since the last update, unable to "save for later" and my existing saved list is now gone. Freezes up and I constantly get booted from it. Coupons/promos in app don't match the current offers. Filters don't always work and often the Search doesn't find products that I know are there and I have to find them via other ways.

I usually don't write reviews but my experience with Ulta lately makes me want to warn other customers. I placed 3 orders on the Ulta app to be shipped. Out of the 3 orders I only received 1. The other 2 say delivered but they have not. I was definitely charged for everything. My daughter and I were also excited to try the free gifts that we would of received with our orders but now we are not going to get any of those. This experience has been terrible & I will never order online again.

App is alright (search could be better; more specific/exact) but the brand lacks something (to me) when it comes to Men's fragrance availability and variety. Constantly seems behind on new releases also (app and in store). _ Update: Reduced to one star because they cancelled my shipping order when I've never used their shipping option before. I guess it's because I used my points and a coupon for a huge discount. They didn't send an email to clairify why.

This app no longer works for me. it will not accept my payment with a credit card I've been using on their app for years. I've called customer service and tried their suggestions:uninstall app and reload, bought a new phone since they thought it was a software issue, Nothing works. Discussed with associates at Ulta, it seems I'm not the only one who is having problems with the app. I would think they are losing a lot of money with this issue. I'm so frustrated!

Nothing about this app works right and it's always a massive pain to use. Won't let me change my password that it doesn't recognize, nor allow me to chat with anyone, nor keep me logged in when I always check the box to. Even if logged in, it's still incredibly inconsistent and never works while at the store. What makes it extra frustrating is it forces you to use this useless app to accomplish most things rather than allowing me to use a reliable browser.

I just had to update the app and now it won't log me in. I'm putting in my correct email and password and it keeps sending me a code to enter to verify that it's me. Once I enter the code it sends me back to the create an account page. I'm just going in circles. I've tried to reach out to customer service but I keep getting an "error page not found" message. So for now, I can't use the app.

Horrible! My account was hacked by an Ulta employee and when I called to to inform that the person is still able to access the account even after the password was changed multiple times, they still only sent a password reset link. The security of the app is terrible! Further, the app does not allow you to apply coupons on most occasions, and the apply button keeps popping up each time you tap it. There is a glitch.

Three issues: 1) I cannot place ANY orders online with any credit or debit payments. It is not a bank issue, I've checked. 2) You can't submit a help desk ticket properly because you can't select a subcategory which is required. 3) You can't add a coupon on the app because the keyboard won't disappear long enough to click "done". You're forcing me to shop at sephora, which i don't want to do, but never any responses here so I'm sure you don't care.

Ulta has become the master of hidden free gift messaging. I placed an online order for pickup in store, and three items had "free gift with purchase " under the item. I use the product, so it was perfect. No such luck, nothing extra was in my bag. The girl had me go to the items on the website and click the "free gift," which opened up a whole section of small print. you had to spend so much of x (which I did) and didn't count if you picked up in store. They were a better store years ago!

I think the app is awesome I especially love the barcode scanner because it makes it so much easier to get the prices of things, instead of having to read tiny letters, trying to decipher which product is which, you can just scan the barcode and it's right there at your fingertips. The only complaint I do have about the app is that you can't talk to text in the search bar It only types part of what you're saying which is annoying and inconvenient, but the barcode scanner makes up for it.

First of all, I have only one or two complaints about this app. Other than the few complaints its mostly ideas on how to make it work better/more efficiently. The complaints are the following, the app does crash from time to time which is obviously going to happen. Also, some of the products that I know are out in stores weren't showing up to buy from the app. But other than that I think that's all the complaints I have. For the improvements/things, I think would make it better. I think it would be nice to have a live HUMAN ”assistant” for finding out what products would be best for your skin shade, undertone, type and more. (without sacrificing privacy and all) Also if you can't find your undertone have a test to see what undertone you are. Also, a button or something to click to get a small sample of perfume before you buy it may be for free or a couple of dollars something reasonable for something you're just trying to smell before you buy the whole thing. And what about an alert when something that has been out of stock comes back in stock. (hint hint James Charles morphe pallet lol) but I think that concludes this review! Keep up the great work!!❤️✨

I'm rating this app more from the point of view as UX/UI designer. All in all the app has been more impressive than I thought possible. I have access to what I want, in the areas I expect them to be. As someone who had never interacted with the app before, I was able to find a coupon to use starting day one. I checked out my profile info and was able to edit my new shipping address straight from the app. When I'm on a product page, I can favorite my specific skin tone on a foundation. I can write a review straight within the app as well, although I noticed that I can't apply review tags as I am able to do on the desktop site. I'd also like the ability to save my nickname when rating, but that seems like more of an account issue than the app. Since I'm talking about the review and rating ability in this app, I'd like to mention that I almost missed the Write a Review link after I tapped the Reviews button. My suggestion would be to make it a button in order to give the CTA more attention. All in all, solid app. The best design is the one you don't notice, and this experience was very smooth. Props to the team who developed the Ulta app. EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'd love the ability to add items to a wishlist within the app.
