There's a glitch in this app where it "cancels" the order on the restaurant's side, but still sends a confirmation email to you and charges your card. The restaurant will try to get you to call the app directly to remedy it, however there's only a phone number to leave feedback, where you get 2 minutes of silence to just speak, there's no person on the other end to help you. Don't bother with this app if you can't afford to just not get the food you ordered every once in a while.
The app just doesn't work for me. Every time I try to scan a receipt, it says it can't and prompts to retry. And when you retry, it fails before it can even scan anything. I've had to enter things manually which makes for a very inconvenient way to reward loyal customers. It's honestly not worth the headache. Yes, the reward of earning free food is cool. But I'd honestly pay for a meal than deal with this awful app.

The app will get amnesia if you switch to another app say to ask clarification on an order item from a family member. You'll then need to start the order over again from the beginning. It doesn't save that information in a cart or bag like any other app would. Most menu items aren't available on the app. Got to the restaurant to pick up order and what came through on their end was not what we ordered at all. Used app to order, and then received an email confirming my order. Arrived at store to pick up my order only to find that they never received my order. Turns out, you have to click "check in" on the app or the store doesn't get your order. Absolutely not the employees fault or the store at all. This is a stupid, annoying, unnecessary step on the app.
I placed an order through the app and waited 45 minutes before the staff even began working on any online orders. I observed other inside and drive-through guestd receive their food within 5–15 minutes. I inquired about the delay and was met with dismissive responses and no apology for the wait. Staff did apologize to in-store guests. The app is heavily promoted in advertisements, coupons, and website as a convenient option. If app orders are not prioritized appropriately, then why use the app

Luckily, my local Taco John's is awesome and just made the food for me when I showed them the app. But, the whole point of this is to save time and make sure my complicated order is entered right. The user experience honestly isn't bad. I like the ability to customize and it's relatively easy to navigate. also the online deals are cool. I also like the ability to say I'm here. Actual experience at the restaurant needs work. Pulled into drive thru and they didn't have my order by my name. it was under "Joe Smith" no idea who that is. then I was told pull up to the window. they then directed me to park and wait. why? sat for 15 mins and the food came out. they weren't busy? why so long?
Never Works. I've tried multiple times to place an order and I always get an error message, usually cart can't be validated. Also won't apply rewards to the cart. When I go into the store and try to order the meal steal, I'm told that is online only! No duh, but if it won't let me order online, and they won't honor the price. Terrible customer service.

I fail to understand what the issue is when I'm ordering the exact items that are included in the reward. As a result, I'm unable to order through the app and have to go to the drive-thru to place my order and have them scan the coupon code so I get the offer. This has been the case for every offer. The app is useless.

When I go into the store and try to order the meal steal, I'm told that is online only! No duh, but if it won't let me order online, and they won't honor the price. Terrible customer service.

so many bugs, hard to use, no help available after ordering! Store was out of items, but still charged the full price!! Need help? contact DoorDash. DoorDash days contact Taco Johns. They make it impossible to get help. No way to reorder items without it converting from delivery to pick-up, but it doesn't warm you before placing the order! Charges $4.99 delivery fee, requires $15 purchase, and the whole point of using the app is to get the special deals, so it's a wash. Bad UI/UX, great food
The app functions great and is designed well. Unfortunately it doesn't let me redeem any rewards. Have tried reinstalling. No changes. So, I keep earning rewards I cannot use. Oh, and the rewards expire too. That's fun to watch. Also, the app wants me to re-login at the most inconvenient times, and I can't recall my password, and have to drive back home and find it. Taco Bell app does not rely on passwords for login. Just throwing that out there.

Then after a while selecting food I get to the order stage and just can't finish the order or pay. I get a red screen that doesn't change. It also lacks easy to walk through order options, especially for order modifications. I usually don't make changes, but my kids are picky and I always have to update a few taco toppings.
It took me a long while to figure out how to tell if I had earned any free food. Also after I learned that it also took me awhile to find the "Redeem" button to redeem such freebies. Looking back It seems self explanatory but with the layout I really was overlooking the obvious. Also on all of the coupons or deals they list a date on them, it's called the Available date such as Available Feb. 29th, 2024. I didn't k this was an expiration date. Why don't they call it the expiration date? fools!
I can't redeem reward offers through the app. Every time I get to payment and select Add reward, I get a pop-up that says "Your selected reward js not valid for this order." I fail to understand what the issue is when I'm ordering the exact items that are included in the reward. As a result, I'm unable to order through the app and have to go to the drive-thru to place my order and have them scan the coupon code so I get the offer. This has been the case for every offer. The app is useless.

I've had to enter things manually which makes for a very inconvenient way to reward loyal customers. It's honestly not worth the headache. Yes, the reward of earning free food is cool. But I'd honestly pay for a meal than deal with this awful app.

The user experience honestly isn't bad. I like the ability to customize and it's relatively easy to navigate. also the online deals are cool. I also like the ability to say I'm here. Actual experience at the restaurant needs work. Pulled into drive thru and they didn't have my order by my name. it was under "Joe Smith" no idea who that is. then I was told pull up to the window. they then directed me to park and wait. why? sat for 15 mins and the food came out. they weren't busy? why so long?

It doesn't allow for using coupons that I received in the mail nor does it offer the ability to use any advertised promotions (outside of recurring daily specials), such as 2 for $5. Updated in 2022: Reduced to 1 star. The new rewards are awful. They expire quickly and can't be redeemed toward more than one item at a time or through app order.
Such a bad app... Taco John's needs to get with it. We get coupons in the mail, but they don't work in the app - in EITHER section for the Promo Code, which also behave differently from one another. Also can't choose refried beans in place of beef on some of the taco orders. And can't choose a time within 45 minutes for food to be ready... just... too much wrong. Sucks because the food is so good.
The app will get amnesia if you switch to another app say to ask clarification on an order item from a family member. You'll then need to start the order over again from the beginning. It doesn't save that information in a cart or bag like any other app would. Edit: Not only is this still a problem, I discovered today it also crashes and forgets your order when asking for location permission.

It changes what not available on its own with no notice. So now you've paid and refunds aren't available and you can't get what you've ordered. Menu not user friendly. Too easy to back out of the whole app forcing you to restart. Don't waste your time!
Used app to order, and then received an email confirming my order. Arrived at store to pick up my order only to find that they never received my order. Turns out, you have to click "check in" on the app or the store doesn't get your order. Absolutely not the employees fault or the store at all. This is a stupid, annoying, unnecessary step on the app.
I placed an order through the app and waited 45 minutes before the staff even began working on any online orders. I observed other inside and drive-through guestd receive their food within 5–15 minutes. I inquired about the delay and was met with dismissive responses and no apology for the wait. Staff did apologize to in-store guests. The app is heavily promoted in advertisements, coupons, and website as a convenient option. If app orders are not prioritized appropriately, then why use the app

Luckily, my local Taco John's is awesome and just made the food for me when I showed them the app. But, the whole point of this is to save time and make sure my complicated order is entered right. FIX THIS, PLEASE!!!!
There's a glitch in this app where it "cancels" the order on the restaurant's side, but still sends a confirmation email to you and charges your card. The restaurant will try to get you to call the app directly to remedy it, however there's only a phone number to leave feedback, where you get 2 minutes of silence to just speak, there's no person on the other end to help you. Don't bother with this app if you can't afford to just not get the food you ordered every once in a while.
Never Works. I've tried multiple times to place an order and I always get an error message, usually cart can't be validated. Also won't apply rewards to the cart. When I go into the store and try to order the meal steal, I'm told that is online only! No duh, but if it won't let me order online, and they won't honor the price. Terrible customer service.

Closest thing I found turned out to be an automated "feedback" system. Left a message, and it said somebody would call me back. 5 days later, nothing. I'm deleting the app and disputing the charge with my credit card company. At least they have some form of customer service.
