Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade

Tried out the Revolut app recently and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth everything felt. The interface is clean, and everything is laid out in a way that’s easy to understand. I didn’t have to dig around to find what I needed — from sending money to checking exchange rates, it all feels super straightforward. Definitely one of the more user-friendly finance apps I’ve tried.

It's ok overall but don't keep serious sums of money in it as they could block your account anytime. They asked me to submit some information and I did. 1 or 2 weeks later I woke up to my account locked because they didn't like what I submitted. No feedback or warning. I contacted support to see what they need exactly almost 2 weeks ago but nothing usefull. Only a lot of scripted BS that they are investigating. My account is locked with no end in sight. Option to submit more information fails..

I'm sad to say it's the worst experience so far. I can't buy anything using the digital card (apart from online purchases). The physical card hasn't arrived and it's almost 2 weeks after the expected date (and I lost 7+ € to order a physical card that will never arrive apparently). Everyone was trying to persuade me to use Revolut but it just isn't working. The only use I can find for it is to just use it as a prepaid for online stuff, all the rest are a scam.

Revolut is overall a great product, but lacks many functions. Please add position indicators on detailed price charts. It is impossible to see buy and sell positions. Very poor. The help assistants Ai suggestions were next to useless. I cannot report a bug in the app. The option is not there. "To do this, just tap your profile icon in the top-left corner, scroll down, and select 'Report a bug'. You can then describe that you'd like to see buy and sell indicators added to the charts."

As a long-term user, I was happy until I tried to move my crypto to a ledger wallet. revolut put "safety" barriers in place to prevent the withdrawal and basically make you take it out bit by bit. It's going to take months, incurring lots of fees. there is no way to change it because they say it's automatic. so if you invest in crypto, don't do it with revolut. they are unfairly milking it's users of transaction fees under the guise of safety. Now u want to help, but said before you can't 🤔

I’ve been trying for two days to download and activate my Revolut account for the first time, and I’m already stuck at the ‘invite friends or log out’ screen. I’ve tried both options, but it just sends me right back to the same page. I haven’t even had the chance to add my banking details or finish setting up my account. This is incredibly frustrating — I expected a smooth onboarding process, not to be blocked before I can even use the app.

wonderful. I resisted using Revolut for a long time...years! but really brilliant app and service. Fast transactions, seamlessly delivered. most of the bank services are of no interest. I don't do crypto, nor interest based products but. Their pockets to guard money, accounts for kids etc are just so well thought out and executed. Only banking I would pay for.

Very unreliable and buggy service. The app suddenly stopped showing my card details and forced me to reinstall. After reinstalling and entering my login and password, it asked for an SMS code but never sent one. I was only able to log in with my ID card after several attempts. The constant reinstall requests, broken SMS verification, and other bugs make the experience frustrating. I only use it for online purchases, but I would not feel safe keeping more than €20 here.

The app is basically perfect for every type of financial transaction I can think of, from international transactions to shares and other things. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because it has this random tendency to stop working. You have to reinstall it to get it to work again. This bug happens once in a blue moon though. I haven't been able to test what triggers it yet

This company is your nightmare waiting to happen. They froze my cards for no apparent reason other than security in general. Then closed my account for no apparent reason other than the rules (really ambiguous, could be one of four things, each of which is itself ambiguous). Then I have to pay two months of fees to cancel my subscription. But I have to wait for a mighty slow bank transfer and hope it gets there in time to cancel the plan without wasting more of my money. What next???

Revolut is a great money app, especially for travellers. it's has no extra fees when you spend abroad. the app is easy to use and let you send money fast. you can also buy and sell crypo and stocks. it has strong security, with virtual cards for safe shopping. it helps you track spending and send money worldwide at low cost. the app is very useful

I like that the app is feature rich and UI/UX is superior to any bank or Fintech I used. On the other hand, FX has a hidden fee. There is no official fee, yet selling and buying is at a different price. Overall, Wise is slightly cheaper (fraction of a percent) with their fees included. I prefer their transparency with fees clearly stated and not hidden behind different sell and buy prices.

Great app, easy accounting. Notifications of each payment with notes you can add plus upload receipts if needed. Multiple currencies available for travellers, etc. Tracks contactless payment limit and reset limit function. I was also able to report a scammer and claim a refund via the app, which they investigated, and I won in a timely and easy process.

I've had it with this app. I'm finally gonna find an alternative, there has to be one out there. Once again I've opened the app only to find my account has been debited (and in minus) yet the merchant isn't listed in transactions, so I have no clue where the hell my money has gone. And Revolut customer service is non-existent- AI responses aren't real- need human beings. Had enough.

As a traveler, this app/card is so handy and useful. Being able to create one use cards means i don't have to worry. The one time i had an issue with my card, Revolut were very fast at rectifying the situation, sending me a new physical card and cancelling the old. I was able to use the new app immediately with the new card. I trust this card.

Recently overhauled the budgeting tools. I was previously able to categorize purchases on multiple banks through the app, making Revolut a comprehensive budgeting tool for me. The ability to categorize purchases made with other banks was removed. I can still see the old menu flash on the screen when I pull up transaction data. I pay for the metal premium membership. I should not be losing features, especially when it's obvious that they can be easily made available.

I'm buying a home and trying to transfer money. Every transfer gets flagged, delayed, stopped.... it's fing annoying! Are i've sent a couple transfers to the same account, you'd think the automated system would understand that I'm making these transfer on my own will. Also exchange rates are lower than market rate, so much for no hidden fees!

no customer service. limits on how much I can transfer in per month as a new customer, which won't be enough to cover my expenses traveling Internationaly. With no way to phone and ask for a change i'll be stuck having to travel with an unsafe amount of cash. Were there ANY warning up front this would have been the case, I could have opened the account nine months before, but there isnt, because they like rules kept secret from customers. no way to phone with location ok, not sure card'll work!

downgrading from 5 stars to 1 star. Stock trading has glitched for me. Can't access my money, can't perform transactions. doesn't work on Android app, doesn't work on a Windows browser. Spent a ridiculous amount of time troubleshooting with a chat bot only for them to finally acknowledge that the problem is likely on their side. I'm left in "your problem has been escalated, somebody will look into it. Check back later" This should NEVER happen with a finance app.
