There's so much to love about this game - superb aesthetics and design, engaging storyline, solid gameplay, and the original music is fantastic. Unfortunately the one qualm I have, which is preventing me from continuing to play it, is that the font size and layout is way too small and causes eye strain. Maybe it looks fine playing it on a computer, but on a phone it's untenable. I have great eyesight, and I'm not willing to sacrifice it and be physically strained to play a game.
Easily the best game on the app store. Super F2P friendly. (You'll even see in chat how many are F2P.) Game is so fun that you want to spend money though. The beginning levels are short, but it's gets better. You can easily play for hours. And new content monthly. And gameplay is so good. each character plays different. There is just so much great about this game.
Combat and gameplay are top notch. The biggest problem with the game, though, is progression. This game has an energy feature called serum, and it runs out fast and fills up slow. Trying to do daily missions is a hassle when you don't have enough serum to play for an extended period of time. I've gotten really annoyed and impatient with games like this nowadays. It staggers progression by too much and encourages spending for more playtime. I can't tolerate games like this anymore.
I want to rate it higher. It has a lot going for it. The visuals and the gameplay are pretty up there. But what I'm reading about the changes to rewards and events and rates for global users is discouraging (and that we're separate at all just increases the odds that the game will have a shorter lifespan for us). The competitive aspects are entirely pay2win, there's no normalization. On day 2 of playing war zone I thought I was improving a bit, got my score higher than the day before, then someone with a lower player level and an SSS+ character popped up and obliterated my score. Even if paying technically saves time, time is what the rest of us need to catch up to someone throwing so much money at the game that they have maxed out characters within a few days. Co-op, which could be fun, is restricted by time and frequency, and has had a consistent 1/2 second lag every match I've played (and, as a bonus, has recently started denying me rewards, despite having scavengers available). I'm having fun despite all this, but I'm worried as this is a very rough start. If things don't change, I'll probably play this a lot more casually than intended.
I LOVE THIS GAME! It's very f2p friendly and the materials needed for upgrades are all farmable which is great. My only complaints are that I can't get emotionally involved enough with the characters to really care about them. Would be nice if more depth to them was provided. My other complaint is that of the stages, specifically the color pallete. I understand the game is going for a more sinister, dark theme which I like, but some of the stages look dull. The only reasons I gave 4 stars.
Great game. I've been playing for a few days now and it's been consuming the majority of my time. Although combat is simplistic, the different amount of skills to play with, as well as character types makes it fun to play. The Gacha system is pretty generous; granted I've only summoned twice on the starter banner, but it's fine imo. Great design, great art, etc. I just wish the devs would listen to the fanbase more. I want to see this game flourish, it's so fun. Please give the rewards 🙏
Good game play, amazing character models, story can be a little hard to get into because the dialog scenes are a bit dull looking. But the cut scenes are really cool when animated. The game is a little sparse with its gacha Battles can be really short, Character classes are less relevant early on. No English voice acting (that maybe fixed later) No point using low level Weapons because you can just buy a higher rank one Highest ranked Weapons are off the table if you want characters
Great game, fantastic visuals, cool story! The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because I've seen way better energy systems. The game is heavy on farming which is normal for gachas, but I only get like 20 minutes of actual play at a time. The way it's set up feels a little like "we want you to pay for refills" which I don't like, but the game itself is good enough that I'm still playing for now. I'd update my review to 5 stars is the energy systems gets improved.
This game is great overall but I had some problems. For starters its a bit hard to know which weapons are who's unless unlocked from story mode because they don't have any real classification to them. Like, I bought a bow just to find out I don't have the character unlocked to use it, and nothing told me that when I bought it. Serums are a pain too. Another thing, this game has a heavy aliasing problem on ultra settings, and FXAA didn't really help. Other than that, keep up the good work devs!
This is by far the best game I've ever played on my phone. Every thing is so good. The visuals, the story, the fighting style and you can play it for free and still have a fighting chance of getting the characters you want...and at first it feels too easy but once you get to the late levels and into the events and side gameplay....it gets very challenging. I love it. I'm stuck on some things but I'm slowly getting better and getting the things I need to power up to beat it some day^_^
If you enjoyed Honkai but the game became too expensive, THIS is the game for you. While the cast isn't huge, every character feels different and is useful. While higher ranks are stronger, the lower rarity are still useful and fun. You can pay more too pull an extra character, or a weapon, but if you're F2P you can get a new high rarity almost every update. The story is the same old as most games, super depressing, but the characters are fun. Doesn't require a ton of time investment either.
Not a fan of the stamina/serum style game. The wait time for 1 serum is over 5 minutes. For being such an integral part of the game, theres no way to recuperate serum effectively. There aren't enough ways to get a hold of or even purchase serum. It just massively slows the game down. There should be another mini game that you do that will help progress your characters or account while you complete missions or tasks for serum. That way its rewarding and engaging, then you can keep playing
It's a decent game, but it's definitely held back a lot by a fair few things. For a stamina based game, the drainage is a bit on the higher side, and with how quickly the power requirements for stages goes up, you end up being forced to burn through your limited stamina supply playing the resource stages with even higher stamina drains for little reward. Even with all the launch event rewards you still end up burning through stamina far too quickly for little to no progression. Combat is smooth.
Never thought I'd give a mobile game 5*, but yeah, I don't think it can get much better than this. Characters are fantastic, art direction, music, most voice actors from all 3 languages. The prices look fair. The combat is so fun I find I don't want to auto clear. The move sets are very diverse. My only real complaint is how slow the serum regenerates to let you keep on grinding, but that's a minor gripe. Kuro Games left a stellar first impression on me. Well done.
Played this game since launch. The mechanics are fun you can tell the company wants to make sure that they bring something new every patch other than a unit. I do with it had more tan characters. All units have a unique gameplay style. The story doesn't pick up until chapter 8. I hope they sort of fix that for new players and revamp (not change) the chapters 1-8. Looking forward to what's in stored for the game.
It's one of the best mobile games I've ever played! I've been here since day 1, but I've become inactive for a while. I agree that the beginning part of the story is boring. However, it gets so much better over time. The combat mechanic is challenging and fast-paced. I played honkai Impact 3rd, but I think this game takes the cake for boss design and character moveset design. Lastly, the soundtracks in this game are a banger! Just like people said, Vanguard studio never misses.
This is an amazing game and I definitely recommend it. It is great at what it does and shows you through the game clearly. The art and game play is gorgeous and so fun to be involved in. The animation is incredibly smooth and there are many options for the graphics and game settings ! The character designs are truly amazing and unique, and the currency is a reasonable difficulty to obtain. My gripe might be that the prices are very expensive for NON f2p players. I still recommend this game 100%
Back then I was kinda overwhelmed by everything you could do in the game but it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. just enough things to do on new patches. The combat's amazing & has come a long way from where it started. Gacha is generous, 100% guaranteed in 60 pulls for S ranks on release banners. They also give out a good amount of ingame currency, free A & S rank chars, weapons, etc. The skins are also very nicely made, do not regret a single cent I spent on this game.
There isn't much I can think of that I dislike in this game. Story is good, gameplay is fun, music and character designs are really nice, the graphics don't look bad imo, the gacha system is probably one of the best one that I've seen so far. The only issue that I can think of is starting this game from zero can be difficult in terms of grinding for characters.
The game is awesome, you can get literally every single character without spending on it if you manage your resources correctly. The only thing I can complain about is the frame rate setting, on pc you can select between 30, 60, 90 and 120 fps if I'm not wrong, on mobile you just turn on an option that says "high frame rate", it would be good if you could choose more specifically the frame rate you want
Hi there, I’ve never wrote a review before but I had to for this game, it’s amazing! The graphics are beautiful and the story is really interesting, I find myself running into battle unprepared to read the lore! This game isn’t for everyone though, and it can be a bit tedious, like if you wanted to get to the next chapter but had to be a certain level. Of course this game will not a appeal to all people, but if you like fun gameplay, well designed characters, and post apocalyptic stories, this is definitely the game for you! I haven’t play as long as some other people but I have played long enough to get the basics, it has really lovely character designs and easy to learn combat (the stigma’s are also really good looking!). The constructs (characters) in the game are really cute or handsome and their play styles are unique! In my opinion, I think it’s a fantastic game! The gacha system is also a lot more generous than some other games like this I play, which I’m so grateful for and it’s completely Free to Play. The only problem I have with it is the instructor system, when I complete my “assignments” for the week they just sit there and I don’t get any stigmas. I think it might be the instructors fault, I don’t really know but other than that this game nearly perfect, I love it and I will definitely continue playing! (*´꒳`*)
The game runs surprisingly well on my older phone. Most characters feel very satisfying to play. Keeping up with current events and characters simply requires proper management of black cards. The main issue is that new players can't catch up on old events. New players have to not only spend extra cards, but also have to win 70/30. The amount of money to pull these extra units is too much for most new players. If there was a reasonably priced catch-up bundle with good value, I would pay for it.
Really good game, and unlike most mobile gachas it still does require skill. I will say it's hard ti get good gear, bur once you catch on the game is very enjoyable with great characters, skins, and an amazing story and soundtrack. Every month ehres a new event or something oing on so it's hard for the game to feel repetitive
While this game is definitely one of the better ones I've played, I do still have a few gripes: first, the gameplay's *too* good; it's so good that it makes me wish there was less story! Speaking of which, the story isn't *that* good, but it's passable, I guess. As a side note, the animation quality is kinda B- grade, but the particle effects and actual gameplay animations are great.
One of the best gatcha games. Very friendly F2P, although you need some sort of youtube guidance on how to start. Easy game mechanics, action is definitely fun. Beautiful character designs. However, since the newer updates, lag spikes, frame drops ( even on lowest graphic settings on android ), crashes, coupled with the intense combat really set off a lot of people off including myself. I had a 5 star, but with these updates, not sure this game is worth it any longer.
Good gameplay, good characters, good setting, all around it's good. Main story is easy enough for casuals, optional gameplay modes are harder for more competitive players. Translation quality is good enough, not perfect but still easily understandable. Characters are balanced enough to use whoever you like without suffering major penalities, and they're very generous in the gacha even for f2p players. It's a side game though, so you can't play for hours at a time.
Amazing art, sound, visuals, story and gameplay. What else do you need. Since I don’t make a habit of continually pumping money into games, the prices/difference in versions doesn’t concern me much. That being said, If the amount of resources per purchase was a little more, like some say of the other versions, I would be more willing to spend. I’m level 52 with no purchases, 1 SS, and 4 S characters and weapons, and not even close to being done with current content. AND the grind so far has been no grind at all. Plenty of different options to grind, events and character story content that I haven’t been close to being bored. I’m sure leveling will get tougher but I’ve already had a blast. Also so far the amount of free energy refills and gacha pulls has been enough for a decent amount of play time daily. I would like to make one purchase to support but so far nothing makes me want to drop and havent needed to. Anyway a must play if your into anime/gacha as a ftp for a few weeks at the very least. I’m hoping it keeps me going a couple months. We’ll see how the events and new content go. Maybe a “sale” event on cards?
I just downloaded this game and .. it’s real addicting, I could honestly play it hours on top of hours but there is a lot of extra buttons to click. I also think maybe in another version update you could put a dubbed setting, technically what I mean is in the settings there is a way to make the accents English or something like that, it would be amazing. But otherwise the game is real awesome and super addicting. I would to be honest play this game instead of a Honkai game. The sprinting reminds me a little bit of another anime game I play called: “MHA Strongest Hero” still in my opinion. The graphics, sound, shadows, etc. is awesome in this game too. But it also reminds me of Genshin Impact a little bit with the character graphics, but either one of those games are really awesome and addicting to play, I don’t mind either one. In my opinon, the game os really awesome, the storyline is great, all the graphic settings and everything is splendid, still there is a lot of buttons and some but the novelty of this game feels the same as any other Honkai games
gameplay is super fluid once you get the hang of it, on of the things I kind of dislike is the amount of things flashing at you, and the buttons on the home page the game is SUPER free to play friendly, you could do about 4 1:00-2:00 minute battle and you would get enough to get a supply drop, and only 10 supply drops get you a S or A ranker, plus even the starter characters are super powerful, another down side is with leveling up.. sometimes a level could be super hard and you don’t have anything to level yourself up.. your just stuck with under leveled characters until you find a way to get yourself up to a certain level where the level is actually playable (unless you have super ultra godly dodging skills, ignore that) but for now this is coming from a new player and I’m level 30 for commander level, I don’t usually write stuff this long but I felt like it deserved it, thank you for reading. I lost my main account, I was a first-day player, but I made a new one and now I’m lvl 53
First off thank you kuro games for all your hard work. If your like me at first I wasn’t sure what PGR was beneath the beautiful action combat and sci-fi aesthetic. Well it finally hit me. This is an experience none like other on mobile. The devs respect the players time and best interest. This is a game you can depend on. What do I mean. Well the game always has an event running while simultaneously adding new units through updates to the game and story. Sure there is grind but most of it can be skipped hence the respecting of your time. Maybe at first you will feel overwhelmed but As you get it the game becomes very straight forward. They want you to log in > grow stronger > get challenged and have fun. You can also fact check this bc it blew my mind but for just the monthly pass (5$ a month) you can basically have every new unit that drops. If you skip and save you can even get their weapons etc. I don’t know what else to say but thank you kuro games and to you the reader … give this game a try. Remember games are supposed to be fun and give it some time. Things will click <3
Without a doubt one of the best gacha games out there. The combat is the biggest highlight of the game being very fast paced and skill heavy. Some good player skills can definitely make up for a lack in equipment which is a rare feature gachas. Characters are unique and have great aesthetic designs. Story is a bit slow at the beginning but ramps up significantly around the later chapters. Graphics and soundtrack are above average when it comes to other gachas. The gacha system itself is quite fair considering the amount of currency you can get every week. If you save and plan ahead you’ll be able to get a majority of the important units. The reason for many one star reviews is people pulled on the wrong banner which is their own fault for not double checking. The second and bigger reason is that global is being treated worse than jp. I think that people’s views are justified but as a f2p player that doesn’t care too much about cosmetics it’s doesn’t personally affect me much. Overall a very unique gacha experience that should be given a try.

I lost my main account, I was a first-day player, but I made a new one and now I’m lvl 53

I love it. I'm stuck on some things but I'm slowly getting better and getting the things I need to power up to beat it some day^_^
Never thought I'd give a mobile game 5*, but yeah, I don't think it can get much better than this. Well done.
