Just bought an Ooni Koda 12 and haven't made a pizza yet (dough isn't ready) but I have to say I feel Ooni has my back. Between the ease of ordering, fast shipping, this app whick is loaded with helpful hints, recipes, calculator, connect.... I feel confident now if the pizza turns out wrong, they will guide me to that perfect pizza. Can't wait!
Amazing. Great. Super. Fantastic. Perfect. Now that I have the app I am able to figure out my ingredient by how many pizzas I want and the consistency and whatever weight per dough ball. Out comes the flour, water, salt, and yeast content needed. The recipes are great for new ideas. Just made the s'more pizza last night and it was fantabulous. Made me get more creative and made spiced apple pizza and then drizzled caramel sauce. Great. Thanks Ooni XO. This is great work.
Really well made app, thought it would be useless but there is actually some handy tips and tricks to be fair!
Very frustrating little app to work with, very jumpy and contain quite a bit of errors, and there is nowhere a convenient 'cart icon' to quickly go to ones cart. Nice app really, I am not complaining and nice products it is just the register to become a pizza master also does not work. When I click submit nothing gets submitted?
Great app altough I have a small difference in weight of the yeast with another app that I use regularly - Videos and recipes are a must -- Question : the balls weight is in gr (I'm from Belgium) ? Improvement : please, allow to select the "proof hours" every hours after 12 (and not 12,18,24...), it's important and support other languages ! Thanks so much :-) - Domi
Great app for a great product. Purchased a wood fired oven for my husband approx. 4 years ago and still going strong. The accessories are top quality and Ooni always offer inspirational ways to make the most out of their ovens. Would definitely recommend! Going to try the skillet next
Great app but please make some improvements: 1 - add search possibility for the recipes as they are too many already (also for videos) 2 - add favorites so we can save our favourite recipe 3 - add in the calculator the measurements for Poolish and Biga dough !!! Many people use Poolish as it's easier to make and cold proof than an entire dough. But could use a calculator for different dough ball sizes and qty. Thank you!!!
Solid app for recipes and dough calculator. If there was a function to save, date, & name dough recipes I would give it 5 stars. That way I could make changes to see how they affect pizza and go back to the saved recipes that work the best. Add a note section for each of those recipes so details of pizza outcome can be noted. E. G. Cooked on full high and pizza burnt, or higher hydration gave crispier pizza.
App and calculator were good until the latest update. Now I'm unable to close the "what's new" page and access the calculator. The "X" button doesn't close the "what's new" page and neither does the "got it" button... Please look into this.... Update: uninstalling and reinstalling the app a third time took care of the problem.
Version 2.0.6 problems. I own the Galaxy Note 8, as of this review the version of ooni app and my phone are not playing nice. I've tried restarting my phone, reinstalling app and running any maintenance process I can. I've only used the app 1 other time prior to this update and it worked. Things happen, hopefully this will get resolved soon
Good but the recipe section could be massively improved with little work. The recipes should be divided in categories (pizza, passata, desserts etc...). It would be even better if users could rate the recipes and leave a comment to help each other.
flakey as hell, it's very US centric and the search bar doesn't work at all
Could be useful if it stopped crashing everytime I pressed back button. So when browsing recepies, it crashes after I want to come back to main page after checking out a recepie. So basically, if I checked 16 recepies I had to start the app 16 times. After a time I just gave up.
App is good insomuch that it provides pizza recipes based around the Ooni oven, also the useful calculator. However, there is an issue with warranty. For example I have multiple Ooni products that I registered and only 2 of them appear on the app. Furthermore, the website shows none of them which I find worrying if I ever need to claim against the warranty. On the app it opens up with 'Set up your Koda Max 2' but, I have a Karu 12g. So it doesn't recognise what you have.
Was great for last 12 months but after not using it for a while (and probably since last update in July 2023) it now keeps crashing or hanging or failing to load. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling.... Then saw other reviews and appears I am not alone. P.S. App developers : What is that phrase? One Job!! Why release an "update" if you haven't tested it??
Crashes all the time. Very frustrating and unusable. App sometimes won't open. When it opens it's slow or unresponsive. If it does open and you're able to scroll to a recipe, it's not long until you get booted and have to reload the app again, starting all over. Not impressed
Trying to register my oven, but the app just clears the my entry when I try to submit. Not message or anything else telling what is going on or failing. UPDATE: The serial number was wrong (an 0 was an O but that wasn't easy to see at all). The app reported the registration was successful, but keeps asking to register, and I didn't get an email confirming either. So do I get me extended 3 years of warranty or not???
Sold me an oven, and hose and regulator. But didn't include necessary adapter to connect hose to oven. I got back to 1990s for a second there. Imagine buying a premium product, and they don't ship you necessary parts to even make it work. They purposefully skip all information about the adapter, and there's zero info about it in the product manual. I have never been so unhappy with a purchase in my life. This adapter is not purchasable in my country.
First timer here after hearing how great the app is. Ooni's own online video for making pizza dough talks about an nice even 1kg of flour for 10 balls at 165g each, and yet, the app cannot do that? What? Also, no matter what, the oil is stuck at 30g output when selecting 3%, as I switch it from 4 balls to 80 balls. Uninstalled!
I cant even see the whole page including selections at the bottom. The last line or two is cut off so all I got is three pictutes. SO DISAPPOINTING! Just got my oven and was really looking forward to seeing and using the app!
