The app has frequent, experience ruining bugs and outages. It's been sending inaccurate push notifications every time I start my car and I can't even submit a support issue using the app because the button to send the report in the app just copies the support request to my notepad and doesn't actually submit it. I can't believe this is a real product. It's so incredibly frustrating to use.

When it works, it's great, but it rarely works. Over the past year, we routinely had outages lasting several days. It had been completely broken for 5 months until we were surprised with a charge notification out of nowhere, and now magically it works again. Hyundai dealership disowns it and says "contact BlueLink, they're a 3rd party." I'm a software developer and can tell you this is truly amateur engineering, deeply broken in many different ways.

The app is useful. However, myHyundai service is quite buggy and slow. Often the whole service is unavailable or remote commands such as climate start or turn vehicle off are unavailable or return an unsuccessful completion. It takes 2 to 3 minutes to send a command to the vehicle. Hyundai needs to do a redesign of the software service to improve it. Compare to my other car, a Tesla, where remote commands execute immediately and work 100% of the time. Why can't Hyundai do the same?

The app itself is great... when it works. In early February 2025 it went down and I went roughly 2 weeks without any Bluelink connectivity. Now here we are once again, and my app has not connected to my vehicle as of April 26, 2025. Each call to customer service (while I did have pleasant agents) seems to be about 40 mins of my time with no real result. Definitely frustrated at the service so far.

This app had been working well, but the last 2 days it won't even open at all! I Uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still won't work. I have gone to the website, listed under other reviews, and the app still won't open. I had planned on keeping the subscription, once the free part ended, but this doesn't seem worth the money.

Unsure what they've done, but it's awful. I shouldn't have to agree to terms and conditions every single time I open the app. I shouldn't consistently get knocked off to where I have to log back in. I shouldn't have to send a lock command before sending a start request 🤬 I have the app for 3 years for free, included when I bought my vehicle - seriously doubt I would pay for this inconvenient convenience. I had a '15 Dodge with an app that was so much better - TEN YEARS AGO! Make it work!

Since the last update, the app crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME it's started. Says it has a bug. Uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache and data-nothing worked. Except downgrading - that got me back online and running. I'm glad I had a backup of the last version otherwise I'd be paying for something that is useless. Too bad they don't test these properly before being released to the public.

I loved this app so much and used it daily to start my car remotely, lock the doors and keep it running while making quick stops - absolutely ready to pay for the subscription once my trial is over. Unfortunately, 2 days ago the app stopped working. It's up to date, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it still crashes immediately upon opening. I'm hoping a fix is figured out soon because if my trial ends I'll have to cancel since I'm not paying for a service I can't use.

It just keeps getting worse... app constantly crashes, website gets stuck on loading screens. I'm just trying to renew my subscription and it's impossible. It says another option to renew is to go to the dealership. People shouldn't have to go to a dealership to renew a subscription lol. Please fix your website and app, we're all begging. I like the idea of being able to start my car with presets. However, the features rarely work so it's pretty much a useless app.

Developers of this app should be fired. App development and the host of problems this app has just sucks. I bought a vehicle with features to only have a ton of problems with it from the beginning. Also annoyed that they take the servers offline when im leaving work and trying to pre start my car. Fix the app. edit: app is a bit better, but goes offline weekly. this just sucks!

Navi inside the app isn't real logical, but also if you refresh more than like 30-40 times in a single day, it tells you that you have exceeded the limit and won't update status again. I once lost connection to my car for two weeks. It would send me alerts that my doors were unlocked but not let me in to do anything about it. no one ever responded to multiple email requests. No remote start option for heated/cooled seats! Also, why on earth are there three different subscriptions for it!?

Great now I can only remote start my car a set number of times. I got the message that I exceeded my remote start limit of 3......I've got a crazy idea maybe when it's literally below zero and I need my defrost features to be on for more than 10 minutes we can set that........and y'all expect me to pay for this when my trial period is up. Not gonna happen. Between that and constant disconnect issues and bugginess of the app.

Definitely needs improvement! This app takes way longer to respond to commands than my other vehicle's apps do if it responds at all. If I send a command to start the engine and the doors are not locked, it won't start the engine at all. On my other vehicle's apps, if my doors are not locked, the app will lock the doors and then start the vehicle. I do like how I can personally the climate setting, but it's not helpful if I'm making it to the vehicle before the app decides to respond.

If you can get this app to work for then congratulations. My experience was not so great. After months of emails to get this released to me after purchasing my car used it still doesn't work. It will not connect to the car no matter what. Calling to get help this issue was pointless still doesn't work. So now I'm a month into my free trial and can see nothing other than the miles. I can't believe you charge people for this service. I'll just stick to using the app for my Ford which is free.

My second review of this sorry app it never improves only gets worse now. every time I log in, I have to acknowledge yet again the privacy policy and terms of use. also, every time I log in I have to verify that my information still" looks good" or it won't let me proceed. the final angst is saved for if you don't log in and actually run your car every 4 days, you can't do anything with it. what a useless joke of an app. I'm wondering when they're going to get it right.

loved this app until recently it has stopped working. only works once in awhile now. was hoping your IT people would fix this issue. not sure if its just me having this issue or others. I get an error message saying "we are sorry but we could not complete your request, please try again later. [gen]. thats juat from after logging in. and none of my data shows. this happens the most. then it decides to work right a few times then goes back to the error. please fix.

Update: it's working again... I have a 2019 Hyundai Tucson SEL and BlueLink doesn't work ever since the most recent update. Everytime I try to use it, it says my vehicles 12v battery is too low and needs charging, so it doesn't work. I've had my battery tested multiple times at multiple places and the battery is perfectly fine. It's 100% a problem with the app itself because everything BlueLink related works from the website. Will update my review when/if fixed.

New update 2/21/25. The app doesn't work at all. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, checked for updates, rebooted my phone, & followed the Myhyundai instructions to reset in the car. Help! The app frequently says my doors are unlocked when they are not. I literally go and look at the car and it's locked. Does the same thing for windows open and doors open. You used to be able to pull the screen down and it would reset correctly, but that doesn't work with the new app version. Very unreliable app!

Original review below, but more important, Climate Start fails way more often than it works. Will not continue subscription. Needs an option to trust a location for "door unlocked" notifications. I don't need a reminder every hour that my car is unlocked in a closed garage. But I would appreciate the reminder when I'm away from home. The only option right now to stop it is to completely turn off status updates. This should be a basic feature of the app and is an incredibky annoying oversight.

Update 3/29/25 The app opened and disappeared. When I tried to open it again I got a message saying to update the app because there is a bug. I reinstalled it. Didn't help. Original review below: It's amazing how much they charge to use this app, especially considering what I paid for the car. Also, it can't turn on the heated/cooled seats, but it can turn on the heater or the a/c remotely. It's great to be notified if I forget to lock the car and then I'm able to lock it remotely.

Update: it's working again... I have a 2019 Hyundai Tucson SEL and BlueLink doesn't work ever since the most recent update. I loved this app so much and used it daily to start my car remotely, lock the doors and keep it running while making quick stops - absolutely ready to pay for the subscription once my trial is over. Unfortunately, 2 days ago the app stopped working. It's up to date, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it still crashes immediately upon opening. When it works, it's great, but it rarely works. Over the past year, we routinely had outages lasting several days. It had been completely broken for 5 months until we were surprised with a charge notification out of nowhere, and now magically it works again. Hyundai dealership disowns it and says "contact BlueLink, they're a 3rd party." I'm a software developer and can tell you this is truly amateur engineering, deeply broken in many different ways.

Unfortunately, 2 days ago the app stopped working. It's up to date, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it still crashes immediately upon opening. I'm hoping a fix is figured out soon because if my trial ends I'll have to cancel since I'm not paying for a service I can't use.

It just keeps getting worse... app constantly crashes, website gets stuck on loading screens. I'm just trying to renew my subscription and it's impossible. It says another option to renew is to go to the dealership. People shouldn't have to go to a dealership to renew a subscription lol. Please fix your website and app, we're all begging. I like the idea of being able to start my car with presets. However, the features rarely work so it's pretty much a useless app.

Developers of this app should be fired. App development and the host of problems this app has just sucks. I bought a vehicle with features to only have a ton of problems with it from the beginning. Also annoyed that they take the servers offline when im leaving work and trying to pre start my car. Fix the app. edit: app is a bit better, but goes offline weekly. this just sucks!

Navi inside the app isn't real logical, but also if you refresh more than like 30-40 times in a single day, it tells you that you have exceeded the limit and won't update status again. I once lost connection to my car for two weeks. It would send me alerts that my doors were unlocked but not let me in to do anything about it. no one ever responded to multiple email requests. No remote start option for heated/cooled seats! Also, why on earth are there three different subscriptions for it!?

Great now I can only remote start my car a set number of times. I got the message that I exceeded my remote start limit of 3......I've got a crazy idea maybe when it's literally below zero and I need my defrost features to be on for more than 10 minutes we can set that........and y'all expect me to pay for this when my trial period is up. Not gonna happen. Between that and constant disconnect issues and bugginess of the app.

Definitely needs improvement! This app takes way longer to respond to commands than my other vehicle's apps do if it responds at all. If I send a command to start the engine and the doors are not locked, it won't start the engine at all. On my other vehicle's apps, if my doors are not locked, the app will lock the doors and then start the vehicle. I do like how I can personally the climate setting, but it's not helpful if I'm making it to the vehicle before the app decides to respond.

If you can get this app to work for then congratulations. My experience was not so great. After months of emails to get this released to me after purchasing my car used it still doesn't work. It will not connect to the car no matter what. Calling to get help this issue was pointless still doesn't work. So now I'm a month into my free trial and can see nothing other than the miles. I can't believe you charge people for this service. I'll just stick to using the app for my Ford which is free.

My second review of this sorry app it never improves only gets worse now. every time I log in, I have to acknowledge yet again the privacy policy and terms of use. also, every time I log in I have to verify that my information still" looks good" or it won't let me proceed. the final angst is saved for if you don't log in and actually run your car every 4 days, you can't do anything with it. what a useless joke of an app. I'm wondering when they're going to get it right.

[gen]. thats juat from after logging in. and none of my data shows. this happens the most. then it decides to work right a few times then goes back to the error. please fix.

Update: it's working again... I have a 2019 Hyundai Tucson SEL and BlueLink doesn't work ever since the most recent update. Everytime I try to use it, it says my vehicles 12v battery is too low and needs charging, so it doesn't work. I've had my battery tested multiple times at multiple places and the battery is perfectly fine. It's 100% a problem with the app itself because everything BlueLink related works from the website. Will update my review when/if fixed.

New update 2/21/25. The app doesn't work at all. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, checked for updates, rebooted my phone, & followed the Myhyundai instructions to reset in the car. Help! The app frequently says my doors are unlocked when they are not. I literally go and look at the car and it's locked. Does the same thing for windows open and doors open. You used to be able to pull the screen down and it would reset correctly, but that doesn't work with the new app version. Very unreliable app!

Original review below, but more important, Climate Start fails way more often than it works. Will not continue subscription. Needs an option to trust a location for "door unlocked" notifications. I don't need a reminder every hour that my car is unlocked in a closed garage. But I would appreciate the reminder when I'm away from home. The only option right now to stop it is to completely turn off status updates. This should be a basic feature of the app and is an incredibky annoying oversight.

Update 3/29/25 The app opened and disappeared. When I tried to open it again I got a message saying to update the app because there is a bug. I reinstalled it. Didn't help. Original review below: It's amazing how much they charge to use this app, especially considering what I paid for the car. Also, it can't turn on the heated/cooled seats, but it can turn on the heater or the a/c remotely. It's great to be notified if I forget to lock the car and then I'm able to lock it remotely.

The app is useful. However, myHyundai service is quite buggy and slow. Often the whole service is unavailable or remote commands such as climate start or turn vehicle off are unavailable or return an unsuccessful completion. It takes 2 to 3 minutes to send a command to the vehicle. Hyundai needs to do a redesign of the software service to improve it. Compare to my other car, a Tesla, where remote commands execute immediately and work 100% of the time. Why can't Hyundai do the same?

Unsure what they've done, but it's awful. I shouldn't have to agree to terms and conditions every single time I open the app. I shouldn't consistently get knocked off to where I have to log back in. I shouldn't have to send a lock command before sending a start request 🤬 I have the app for 3 years for free, included when I bought my vehicle - seriously doubt I would pay for this inconvenient convenience. I had a '15 Dodge with an app that was so much better - TEN YEARS AGO! Make it work!

I loved this app so much and used it daily to start my car remotely, lock the doors and keep it running while making quick stops - absolutely ready to pay for the subscription once my trial is over. The app has frequent, experience ruining bugs and outages. It's been sending inaccurate push notifications every time I start my car and I can't even submit a support issue using the app because the button to send the report in the app just copies the support request to my notepad and doesn't actually submit it. I can't believe this is a real product. It's so incredibly frustrating to use.

When it works, it's great, but it rarely works. Over the past year, we routinely had outages lasting several days. It had been completely broken for 5 months until we were surprised with a charge notification out of nowhere, and now magically it works again. Hyundai dealership disowns it and says "contact BlueLink, they're a 3rd party." I'm a software developer and can tell you this is truly amateur engineering, deeply broken in many different ways.

The app itself is great... when it works. In early February 2025 it went down and I went roughly 2 weeks without any Bluelink connectivity. Now here we are once again, and my app has not connected to my vehicle as of April 26, 2025. Each call to customer service (while I did have pleasant agents) seems to be about 40 mins of my time with no real result. Definitely frustrated at the service so far.

This app had been working well, but the last 2 days it won't even open at all! I Uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still won't work. I have gone to the website, listed under other reviews, and the app still won't open. I had planned on keeping the subscription, once the free part ended, but this doesn't seem worth the money.

Since the last update, the app crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME it's started. Says it has a bug. Uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache and data-nothing worked. Except downgrading - that got me back online and running. I'm glad I had a backup of the last version otherwise I'd be paying for something that is useless. Too bad they don't test these properly before being released to the public.
