i don't even know where to start! the design, both visual and audible, is beautiful! the story is intriguing, the puzzles are brain bending, the colors are beautiful! the forgotten shores puzzles are so cool. totem's arc is amazing! i was so sad when he was lost and when i got the final puzzle, and saw him all together i was so happy! this game is amazing. especially if you like logic puzzles, geometry, and a dash of dystopia.

Good game but not worth $3.99. This was definitely a mind challenging game. It was even a lot of fun. It's a great way to test your spacial reasoning capabilities. That being said, it's only worth getting if you're not paying the original Play Store price. $3.99 is a rip-off for a game that has 10 "chapters". There are a few chapters that are super easy, but most do present a bit of a challdnge.

Breathtaking. Beautiful, engaging and challenging enough to keep you interested. To call it a"game" is a bit misleading. "Monument Valley" is a master class in using meditative problem solving and lush graphics to drive a simple storyline. There's plenty of room among the RPGs, MOBAs, MMORPGs etc for puzzle games like "Monument Valley 1-3". This is the standard all others should try for.

EDIT: First update I've seen in many months (years?), and no release notes?? 🤔 If you're an Escher fan, and you want a thought-provoking, beautiful, calming puzzle game, this is it. Excellent in every way: simple, beautiful imagery; subtle, complimentary sound FX; increasingly challenging, mind-bending 3-d puzzles. One of my fave mobile games ever. EDIT: Played again for the first time in years, and it's as delightful as ever!

Kinda disappointed.. you only get 10 levels and then afterwards they charge you $1.99 for 8 more.. I already paid $3.99 why am I not getting the full game.. then they give you only one more level for free (which was the best and most challenging) but other than that the game is fun just way to short.. I don't even want to buy the next one because of the same price for so little.. But it is fun! Not so challenging like everyone else says it's easy if you just think.

This is the most genuine, fun, well rounded game I've played in years. When I say the puzzles are just enough of a challenge, I mean that. The game challenges your brain and really gets your cogs turning (pun intended), but not so much that you're overwhelmed and close the game immediately. The game rewards you overcoming a puzzle with more beautiful art, sound effects, and fun/intuitive mechanics. The art style harkens back to M.C. Escher, and I know if he were still alive today, he'd be a fan.

Probably the best puzzle game ever! Not only does it challenge your brain, but it also relaxes you at the same time! It has an actual story that's revealed during the ten main levels you play. The game is based entirely on perspective, which makes it stand out from all the other puzzle games. It gets pretty confusing due to the abstract nature of the landscape, but once you fiddle with some controls, you start to understand after a bit. Good game overall, highly recommend!

It's the best! I've finished it twice. It's very trippy, ethereal, clever, and beautiful. I adore the puzzles! I played the second game as well, and that was also amazing! (I believe there were some cute extras as well?) The only complaint I have about the game is that it is tragically short. I would pay for more puzzles. Monument 3?? 👀

This is an exceptionally amazing game! The solutions to the puzzles seem impossible at first, but are so seeming right there as you walk your path and manipulate the path to different view points. How some of them came together had me say "Wow, that's amazing!" on more than one occasion. This game makes your brain have to think outside of the box. One of the greatest games I've ever played. Will absolutely be looking at the developer's other titles. Brilliantly done guys and gals!

I really enjoyed Monument Valley, playing through the entire game, it's additional adventure, and it's $2.99 DLC over two evenings while watching TV with the wife. I've always loved Escher-like art, and this was a fun and relaxing puzzle game that gave the opportunity to explore such setpieces. The game is familiar to Fez in its geometric manipulations of an impossible world and changes in perspective, though it is much more approachable in its difficulty. A great puzzle game, worth your time.

I agree with others that this is an awesome game... for about an hour. I rarely buy games, with so many good free ones available, but this looked interesting. I really enjoyed the gameplay, visuals, etc., but it's just over so quickly. Would love to see more levels or even just more components to the existing levels. ADDED: There were two expansions added, said they were fantastic. A couple of those levels blew my mind. I will buy any Monument Valley game they release.

Not only is this game beautiful, but the quality of the puzzles is wonderful. Playing with perspectives, interacting with elements, and seeing how everything changes makes it interesting and enjoyable. I finished it in a day, and I'm left wanting more. (Purchasing the additional levels is worth it, plus you'll be supporting the creators of such a magnificent game ✨✨)

I honestly didn't think I would like this game, but the reviews were so good, I tried it. I was wrong. What an intriguing game! The graphics are beautiful, the storyline is touching, and solving all of the geometrical puzzles was mind-blowing. I'm definitely playing all of their other content now! Wow 👌

I really enjoyed playing this game! It was more than a game, it was an experience. The puzzles were unique with just the right amount of difficulty, and the music fit extremely well (which tbh I usually play with games on mute). And the story was mysterious and brief but kept me wanting to know more and continue to play get the next piece of the story.

I'm not one to play a game more than once; mostly since knowing what is going to happen and many of the puzzle answers makes repeat play unappealing to me. But, this game is one I found myself playing through more than once. (fourth time, now.) I enjoy the calming play and optical illusionary puzzles I have not seen well implemented elsewhere. 11/10. Despite the years that have passed since I first played, Monument Valley still stands as one of my all-time favorite puzzle based game.

I haven't smiled this much at a game in a long time. The gameplay is fun and innovative, the music and sound design are lovely, and the characters are adorable to look at. This whole game breathes style, and it's great to see that some creators still have artistic vision these days. It's short, but not woefully so, and the ending was satisfying and poignant. Plus if you tap on the birds they do a little caw. Easily one of the best games I've played on my phone in a long time.

Delightful game and one of the few paid mobile games I recommend to friends (despite its short length). Art is beautiful. Game runs smoothly. The puzzles are challenging without getting frustrating. The sound design is phenomenal (honestly, the only one I wish I could tweak would be the crow sound as the rest really adds to it without getting abrasive). I've beaten it twice and watched my friend beat it once. It's sooo satisfying and really makes you think outside the box. ♡

I like the whole perspective based puzzles. They're really cool and I can actually wrap my disabled brain around them, which is even better. My obly problem with it is the controls seem a bit overly sensitive. Sometimes it takes multiple tries to turn a wheel only a quarter of the way it can move, because it wil fling forward/back very quickly. Trying ro move some things results in your character moving instead on occasion. Fix that, and this would be bumped up a rating

Very atmospheric, beautiful graphics, good gameplay, relaxing and stimulating at the same time. The process of completing each puzzle is very satisfying and the soundtrack compliments it well. Downside is it's only 10 levels and lacks any real challenge. Finished the whole thing in maybe an hour, with maybe 5 net minutes of any struggle. Still, $4/$5 for an hour of pleasure is far frome a terrible deal, but you can get a lot more out of many free apps.

It's not often that I get to say a phone game is just REALLY COOL. I love the entire concept, puzzles that require you to play with perspective. There's a background story happening as you progress through the levels, but so far it's sort of like a little nugget of the story for reaching this out that gameplay milestone. This is the first phone game I can ever say I've been completely delighted and excited about. I don't have to waste time on ads or countless in-app micro-purchases. Amazing game
