Minion Rush: Running Game

PC version needs work. I played the old game on my PC for years and was almost at level 800. Then it wouldn't load. I iinstalled this "updated" version and eagerly began to play. The game pad controls don't work the same, they lag badly at times. And when I used up my free revices and didn't want to pay for more, it kicked me out of the game and so far I haven't figured out how to restart it. It keeps wanting me to re-install it. I'm going to play it on my pc, not my phone

After playing the new May 2025 update, the game became worse than the old. UPDATE JUNE 15, 2025. I understand the need for ads, the old version offered choice of ads, like watching a revive ad. I used those a lot. But I am really sad loosing the specialized ability of each costume. The goals of each infinite run has become boring. I use to play this game almost everyday before this new version. I have not played the game in 3 weeks, because I just lost interest in it.

This game had very good animations and it was very smooth. There was little adds and I did enjoy the cute little snip bits of the minions playing around in the beginning animation. This game was very good within the animation, the voiceover, the entertainment, and the engagement. Un fortunately, there were some deducting factors. For example, the game kept switching and forcing me to view side things which did eventually become too much. Unfortunately, this game was hard to control when playing.

Since the massive update the game freezes up and makes me start over, I have been playing since the original game came out and this one is the worst of all updates. I like the graphics but all you do is run for nothing. My biggest disappointment is it's online only, in South East Kentucky the internet is not very reliable so I can't play as much. Now the game freezes up constantly and the screens change colors or just disappear. when I swipe to jump or roll nothing happens. I guess I will delete

I'm reading a lot of OG players (like myself) saying too many ads, costume leveling gone, only Gru's lab, etc. In many cases they are asking for a setting to convert back to the OG game from between 2013-2023. I'm in full agreement with all the OG players. With this update, I uninstalled it from my phone and only play the game on my tablet which has the game from before this tragic update and changes. It's up to you developers to take these reviews to heart and give us what we would rather have.

The "massive update" is terrible. Unsatisfying new sounds and graphics, and it simply locks up at the end of the first run. Thank you, Gameloft, you've saved me from wasting countless more hours on this game. Added: the CONTINUE button at the end of a run does nothing; must force close. All previously earned costumes are gone. Gru's Lab seems to be the only area available. Very disappointing compared to the previous version.

I've played Minion Rush for years, and it's always been one of my favorite games. The updates—like gadgets, power-ups, and costumes—are great, but the graphics quality has dropped. On my end, it looks blurry. Another big change is that it's now online-only, unlike before when it could be played offline. Also, the ads are excessive—every time my character dies, an ad pops up. It’s frustrating and disrupts the fun. I hope the developers improve the graphics and reduce the ads to restore the game’s

I am a big fan of minion rush, and while I was bit worried to play the new update, turns out I can't even experience it as whenever I go through the tutorial part of claiming my reward at the hall of jam, the reward dissepars and I can't claim it, essentially making me stuck on that screen and not being able to move on forward with the rest of the game. I can now no longer play the game and I hope this gets fixed

Very disappointed in this new update. It took away the whole point of the game to progress, earn, and unlock new things. Now it's just endless runs with no incentives- already had with the top banana room. I'm honestly very disappointed that a game I loved & spent far too much time playing is garbage now. Costumes no longer have any value and I'm being forced to unlock all the locations over again. so much progress flushed down the drain. There is no longer any incentive to play- will delete.

I love to play this game but ever since the update (May 2025) the game is kind of boring now. All my progress has been erased, costume abilities have been removed which I am really sad to see because the px-41 serum was my favorite ability. Not to mention the fact that there are no more missions to do. It's just infinite running now. I mean, I love the new graphics but the game has lost its spark with this update.

Ads are getting more and more abusive. There is no reason for ads to go on for well over a minute or two and still be forced to click through additional screens before being able to resume your game. Only way to enjoy the game without constant ad harassment is to pay for ad removal, which to its credit is a one time purchase.

They removed the Jelly Jar minion, and the agent mode, removing one of the main reasons I played this game while also discarding most of the levels, it used to be one of there best games, but I don't play it a much anymore, another bad thing is that there isn't any invincibility frames after a power-up completes and a lot of the time I am doing good in a run and it just stops REGISTERING INPUTS, which on its own speaks for itself but sometimes the music doesn't work, but the minion sfx does.

The new update removed a gigantic portion of the locations. From 15 all the way down to just 4. None of the minion costumes have any abilities as well. So two big reasons why I even used to enjoy this game back in the day are just absent now. I hope all the old locations are added back, then I will 100% enjoy the game substantially more.

it was way better before the update. they've made it abundantly clear they have no intention of going back or giving us the old game in any form. the graphics are obnoxious, the perspective is off so that it's harder to get timing right, and the obstacles are often impossible to pass forcing players to watch more ads for without the entertainment value of choosing between and playing different missions. I'd watch more ads if they made the game better, but it's just worse with more ads.

the ads are horrendous. it's one thing to have an add after playing. it's another to have an add after collecting your reward or changing your costume. can't even go in different menus before getting an add. I even got an add after updating my settings. I like the game in general, but the random laggy spikes and tons of ads is making it very disappointing. I really miss when this game came out years ago where it was just fun

Honestly, I absolutely loved this game before the recent reboot. I really loved the event rooms. Since the complete makeover of the game not long ago, too many things were taken away. There are less rooms, less quests, no challenge room, no costume bonuses, no costume shards, and no events. I can only hope that the developers are working on reestablishing these features in a future update and that the makeover wasn't the full game. Otherwise, I might delete the game. The best parts were removed.

Absolutely loved this game - before it updated and completely reset everything and made me start from the very beginning. I played for three years, so you can imagine how much progress I lost. All of it. Levels, costumes, coins, areas, everything. I'm very pissed. to say the absolute least. I hate the new version. This update was extremely unnecessary and there was zero demand for it!! 😡😡😡

This game was so great back then but now it's terrible. There used to be like 20 locations but now there's like 4. Unlocking minions is just confusing and they don't have abilities anymore. Also the ads are just annoying. I get ads even when I'm on the menu. Also I hate that I can't play offline anymore. I'm going to uninstall it for now.

This used to be a fun game, until the update. No costume boosts or mission requirements (which enhanced each other) badly designed game control that stops responding at critical times, lost all the locations, bosses, side-quests,etc. And the ads - spend three times as much time on ads as on gameplay! It's basically turned into a pay-to-play or we'll kill you with ads. Looking at the milquetoast responses from the devs, it's clear this is what they want. Gonna drop this game for good

I used to play this game on iOS back in early 2014 and Android a few years prior. I'd say the new update to this game is pretty good, but it might have a bit of a potential to be an incredible update to the entire game if they'd bring back one of the bosses from the previous versions of the game. For example, at times, you'd either face Vector, or Meena depending on the world, and you either had to survive or hit the smaller robots to beat them.

This is a very cool game. My suggestions are optional for the creators of minion Rush you do not have to use my suggestions they are just suggestions. I have four suggestions. My first one is you can create your own run for other players to play. You can add bosses, add more obstacles, What the goal is, and how to pass it. My second suggestion to you have characters from the movies. We need a Gru minion. We could have a Lucy minion. But we could have a Lucy human in a Gru human. My third suggestion is we can create our own minions. We could have a minion that looks like a unicorn or a minion that looks like us. My fourth suggestion is that on Christmas all characters are free. No paying coins no trying to earn them they’re all free. I mean Christmas is around the corner. Is it my suggestions creators of minions read them you don’t have to use any of them I would love if used one of them and I love this game. Just realized I want to add another suggestion that we can actually run in the Arctic and one more that the power ups last until we hit something and that the rocket turns into a jet pack in the shield stays on until we get something freeze gun runs out of ice. So power ups last longer.

I love this game so much, that I just want more! The thing I really want next is a new update! In this update, the yawning sound from the Classic Minion is unmuted, after all Minion Festivals have ended, the rest of the costumes that I didn’t unlock will automatically be unlocked and I can choose any stage I want, and, also, a new feature - Power-Up Practice, which means there will be levels to show you how to use power ups. Also, when you click on a power up stage, your character will be in the power up lab, with many workers, trying to interact with the power up(for example, the Mega Minion from a level in Gru’s Lair in the old version). And, if the hit TV show, ‘’Dave and Lizzy’’, is out, the Classic Minion will be renamed as ‘’Dave’’, and there will be a female Minion, also known as a Miniette, out, and her name will be ‘’Lizzy’’. She will also have her pink bow, red high heels and magenta dress along with her, plus her eyelashes, her beautiful Miniettian voice(which is the same as Madison’s voice from Minecraft’s Astronaut Training Center) and the same animations as the Classic Minion. I really want those updates, plus, you can make your own level for other players to play. Even other players can make their own level for you to play. That’s all I have to say, so please add that update. Oh! And I almost forgot! Maybe you can mute the music playing from the Leotard Minion. Please add this update to the game! PLEASE!!! Hello! This is really good game and I totally recommend you download it but there is a few things I would like change like how when you get a free revive. If it would ask you to use it instead of automatically doing it that would be great

Just redownloaded after a few years and the game is just ruined. No way to disable the incredibly annoying tutorial and each round lasts 30 seconds or less because once you complete the mission it's over. What happen till the run till you drop thing? Why cut people off in the middle of a run just because they met a singular objective? It's a no from me. Bring back the old version.

The game is really fun to play and probably my favorite game to play on my phone at random times, but, it can get repetitive is the only issue.

A super addictive game that's easy to learn but challenging to master. Graphics look great and perfectly replicate beloved characters and places of the Minions universe! My only issue is that the game tends to freeze after I run it for several minutes. Autosave has prevented me from losing too much progress, fortunately, but it's still vexing to keep rebooting. The issue doesn't occur on my friend's tablet, so the trouble must be related to my phone (moto g pure). Otherwise, I adore this game!

An excellent runner that specializes more around completing missions. It's fun to see how costume upgrades can make missions that were impossible actually pretty easy. And with all the options for farming costume cards available, you'll always be working towards something that you'll use in the future, whether you know it or not. Casual players be warned however, this game can get incredibly difficult later on, even with the costume buffs given. No doubt the best runner game for advanced gamers.

Personally I think that this game is really good and has evolved really well. Although I do miss what it use to be when it first was released; a Despicable me version of Temple Run, with bosses to boot. But this is really good too, minus the ads. But I wish I could replay some of the levels I completed, specifically the bosses.

Overall is is one of the best games I have ever played. Although it would be nice if it didn’t put so many adds. For some the adds I watch I can’t even press the x so it doesn’t let have my reward. Not only the adds trying to make you buy their game but in minion rush, even if you just watched an add it still want you to minions or bundles of things. So if could just try to cool it down with the constant adds it would make a much better game. I hope you listen and do these things please. But this game is truly amazing. It has missions to stop making it toooo repetitive, and also differ maps to help. And so many and really a lot styles for minion. A suggestion for a minion is the players can make their own. They can choose styles for the face,hair,hat,hands,clothes,and shoes. Another suggestion is a new map. Maybe the volcano in Despicable Me 2 where El Macho tried to send Lucy into the volcano. I also hope that you listen to all of these suggestions and take them into consideration. This a truly good game. Keep making it better.

I, a 31-year-old dude, love this game. I’ve spent more time than I care to admit playing this unexpectedly addictive endless runner on and off for the last few weeks. I actually played this game when it first came out several years ago. The missions are a great improvement to the original gameplay. And the Despicable Ops gives you access to scenes that you wouldn’t normally have access to in the original version. You don’t need to pay to play, though getting VIP access does allow you to fly through the missions much faster. Given that two weeks of VIP access cost about as much as a Venti Starbucks, I say it’s worth it—at least occasionally. My only suggestion? If possible, it would be awesome to have different background music for each scene. So, for example, Gru’s Lab would have one background theme, the Volcano would have another, and so on. But, overall, this is a fun little game that, due to its simple gameplay, is easy to learn. Highly recommend as a way to unwind after a long day!
