I downloaded the app because I was completely misled by the advertisement. I sat and watched an advertisement on YouTube and they even said I don't have any money and in the commercial they said that's fine. you can practice Spanish as much as you want for free. no strings attached. upon downloading I met with a 7-day trial. only if I input my information and a list of prices at no point have I seen a free practice all you want price? Why even advertise this way if you're clearly lying?
They tell you it's free but it's not..!! ☹️ They also tell you you can try it free for 7 days but you can't unless you give them a way to bill you, so how is that free to try..??!! I might have bought into this program if it wasn't false advertising before I ever got started..!! I would have never wasted my time downloading this and wasting my data if I had known u can't even try it out first..!!
I should have read the reviews before I download it, but I trusted the advertisement to be TRUE (as says the app and the experience require no money). This app is NOT FREE. There is a free one week trial, then you're billed at $9.99 weekly (roughly $43 a month). DuoLingo runs about $30 a month and Rosetta Stone is about $20 a month for their short term plans. So this "no money needed" app actually costs MORE than its competitors. I'll pass. I hate false advertising.
Free learning is extremely limited! If you want to really use the app you need to subscribe! The AI's voices aren't authentic, extremely robotic! Also, they all sound like they're from India & the audio connection with screen mirroring is terrible! The biggest upset for me was testing how honest the AI's really were to the users responses! I purposely mispronounced words and mixed them up, the AI's response was, "EXCELLENT!" NOT WORTH $10 per month! I wouldn't continue using it for FREE!
I do not recommend this app, the voice recognition works horribly if you do not speak in a high tone or if you speak very quickly. The app itself is very limited. It seems that it has a good base, but I literally could not use it for more than 5 minutes because it told me that to continue I had to pay. For that, I better use other apps that, although they offer paid versions, are usable in their free plan.
