I think it's great that they offer so many ways to buy things without offering spammy ads. The complaint is that they're deceptive. I just completed a purchase (I wanted to level up VIP) and it implied that I'd get 2k VIP points because they duplicated the number. It only gives one. They put the same number multiple times on the same add but no description of what you're actually getting. Definitely False advertising.
Over the years the game has had tons of content to play and go through, but it becomes a huge grind the later in the game you get. You could spend 30 minutes doing dailies and getting everything done just to forget about another. There's literally TOO much to do in this game, even with the auto-completer, because once you start managing max star heroes, you have to go through so much more each day to continue upgrading them. I love the game, but it's become a mindless grind.
Auto clearing stages is annoying and seriously reduces the playability of this app, and I don't see a way to disable it. You enter a stage with higher level enemies you can't beat, so you level up your heroes to a level that is a bit higher but still not higher than the enemies that beat you. When you return to the campaign, you've auto cleared all of the levels with no way to play them if you want and are suddenly faced with new enemies that are 10 levels higher than the last.
Pay to play. All the events are impossible to complete unless you have been playing for years or spend hundreds of dollars. You hit a wall where it won't let you continue to the next battle level until you reach a certain level, the tower doesn't reset, the heroes take forever to star up because it's really based on chance which one you will get unless you save up forever to buy one with the right tokens. It used to be fun years ago but now it sucks. Don't bother.
To be totally honest I wasn't expecting much. Every gamer knows how theses mobile games are, filled with ads and constantly bugging you with microtransactions, but so far this has done neither. While there are microtransactions, they are relegated to their own menu and it isn't popping up constantly, I don't think it's popped up once actually, and it only catches your attention with a little red dot that goes away if you click on the menu's tab. The game play isn't bad either, bit basic but good
