Someone at Dave & Buster's asked themselves "How can we make this app worse?" and succeeded. It used to be just issues with the app interfacing with the network. What used to be all information on one page i.e. Tickets, Credits, etc., is now on three separate tabs for no reason. Now every customer gets to enjoy having to do extra clicks every time they want to see different information. They could have added a ticket and credit history to the app at least for the tabs to make sense.
We love being able to reload and manage the cards right from the app! You can transfer play points and tickets to other cards on your account instantly! Very convenient! , The challenges and milestones section is fun! I love that it gives you something to work toward. Hopefully it ends up paying off in Rewards which we're looking forward to earning and seeing what they are!
This app always has something going on. I cannot see my cards or re-add the physical cards on my mobile device. My digital card isn't visible neither I've tried all troubleshooting methods while on the phone with a representative. the last thing I was able to do was transfer some chips from card to card and the next day my app was acting up
had to wait over 45 min just to get a hard card charged with points from our phone. Kept getting referred to somewhere else. we'd go somewhere else and have the same prob. finally the bartender helped us out, and things got better. we're reg customers and to have this issue wasn't cool. But the bartender made it All Better! Loved her blue hair!
I went to update the app that I've been using for years and was able to get in until now I got an error message: "ISSUE DETECTED We have detected an anomaly with this device and it will not work with our app. Sorry for the inconvenience. [R]" How am I supposed to redeem my points without using the app??? I gotta go through the website! Please fix this error!
Third time trying to sign up for an account, I keep running into the same issue. I use my phone number and the OTP never comes. I changed my message settings to see if that'd work, I tried a different number. It's frustrating when you're a pretty frequent visitor and you miss out on deals and rewards.
This app is trash. Rarely will sync and update with physical cards. Error code when transferring from one card to another. Error code when trying to nickname a card or do anything under the "manage" card. Need physical cards with 3 kids, and everything is a hassle. The store can't help with the app issues, and their response is because it's a "third-party," yet it's part of their operating business. This place makes way too much money not to put time, money, and effort into their technology.

Downloaded the app to try out the digital power card and get the 30% off first purchase. Have not been able to get the payment processed successfully - an error message along the lines of "something on our end is tied up. We're resolving the issue. Please try again." pops up each time. I have tried restarting the app, reinstalling the app, using the DB WIFI vs my cellular network, using different payment methods, and trying again after 30 or so minutes. Still receiving the same error message.
Digital power card doesn't work. Entered physical cards into the app after a visit about a year or so ago, and then when I recently went to the place, it wouldn't recognize the cards. The app shows that I have 270 chips, but when I go to the website and check the balance it says 0. The cards were never used and each had 135 chips that I combined into 1 digital card. This is unacceptable. Give me the chips, or give me my money back.
The app transfers are wonky. I keep getting error messages as I try to move chips to my kids physical cards. Then I get told I reached my transfer limit for the day, more than half of which received error messages. It doesn't work for it's intended purpose. Also, now I have tickets stuck on a card. Nothing works, including the call center for assistance with their app. No one answers and after a long wait on hold to speak to someone it tells you to call back during normal business hours (which I am calling during) or to leave a message. Have left messages. No one calls back.
Used to work well. Helps to keep track of cards and points. Very useful if you misplace a card, or go and forget it because they can make a new one with the numbers on the app. Unfortunately the app doesn't seem to work now for anything other than viewing. The 1st time in months they offer a match and i can't get into messages or recharge any cards. Keeps saying error on their end, tried reinstalling app and same issue. D&B, you should offer email codes for when your app craps out like this...
The app transfers are wonky. I keep getting error messages as I try to move chips to my kids physical cards. Then I get told I reached my transfer limit for the day, more than half of which received error messages. It doesn't work for it's intended purpose. Also, now I have tickets stuck on a card. The store desk is too busy to help (half an hour in the line).
Digital power card doesn't work. Entered physical cards into the app after a visit about a year or so ago, and then when I recently went to the place, it wouldn't recognize the cards. The app shows that I have 270 chips, but when I go to the website and check the balance it says 0. The cards were never used and each had 135 chips that I combined into 1 digital card. This is unacceptable. Give me the chips, or give me my money back.
Downloaded the app to try out the digital power card and get the 30% off first purchase. Have not been able to get the payment processed successfully - an error message along the lines of "something on our end is tied up. We're resolving the issue. Please try again." pops up each time. I have tried restarting the app, reinstalling the app, using the DB WIFI vs my cellular network, using different payment methods, and trying again after 30 or so minutes. Still receiving the same error message.
The app is fine for the most part, but it's very difficult to use the tap feature on the games. My brother and I have different models of phones, yet both of us had difficulty getting the readers to register when we held our phones up to them. We had to try three or for times before we got the reader to turn yellow. It didn't seem to matter where we held our phones, either. It was practically a skill game in and of itself to get the games to recognize our "taps".
This app is trash. Rarely will sync and update with physical cards. Error code when transferring from one card to another. Error code when trying to nickname a card or do anything under the "manage" card. Need physical cards with 3 kids, and everything is a hassle. The store can't help with the app issues, and their response is because it's a "third-party," yet it's part of their operating business. This place makes way too much money not to put time, money, and effort into their technology.
Third time trying to sign up for an account, I keep running into the same issue. I use my phone number and the OTP never comes. I changed my message settings to see if that'd work, I tried a different number. It's frustrating when you're a pretty frequent visitor and you miss out on deals and rewards.
I went to update the app that I've been using for years and was able to get in until now I got an error message: "ISSUE DETECTED We have detected an anomaly with this device and it will not work with our app. Sorry for the inconvenience. [R]" How am I supposed to redeem my points without using the app??? I gotta go through the website! Please fix this error!
had to wait over 45 min just to get a hard card charged with points from our phone. Kept getting referred to somewhere else. we'd go somewhere else and have the same prob. finally the bartender helped us out, and things got better. we're reg customers and to have this issue wasn't cool. But the bartender made it All Better! Loved her blue hair!
This app always has something going on. I cannot see my cards or re-add the physical cards on my mobile device. My digital card isn't visible neither I've tried all troubleshooting methods while on the phone with a representative. the last thing I was able to do was transfer some chips from card to card and the next day my app was acting up
We love being able to reload and manage the cards right from the app! You can transfer play points and tickets to other cards on your account instantly! Very convenient! , The challenges and milestones section is fun! I love that it gives you something to work toward. Hopefully it ends up paying off in Rewards which we're looking forward to earning and seeing what they are!
Someone at Dave & Buster's asked themselves "How can we make this app worse?" and succeeded. It used to be just issues with the app interfacing with the network. What used to be all information on one page i.e. Tickets, Credits, etc., is now on three separate tabs for no reason. Now every customer gets to enjoy having to do extra clicks every time they want to see different information. They could have added a ticket and credit history to the app at least for the tabs to make sense.
