STOP CHANGING THE APPEARANCE OF THE AVATARS!! The original was awesome, and it's just gotten progressively worse. The new look is just terrible. But the most annoying thing is when you go to send a Bitmoji and it looks nothing like you anymore! I opened it after the most recent 3D update and I looked like a completely different person, so I either had to send a picture that wasn't accurate at all, or spend the time adjusting the avatar AGAIN! Pick a style and stay with it 🤬

I used to love this app...however, since they changed it to this 3d mode and completely got rid of the 2d original version, I absolutely HATE it! If there is going to be an update/change, at least provide the user with the option to choose 2d or 3d...I mean come on, it's 2025 for crying out loud! We are technologically advanced enough to provide options! ...if there is no option to switch back to 2d I will be deleting this app, the characters don't even look good or like myself or my friends!

I honestly can't even remember how long I've used this app it's been that long, but the new 3D look is horrible. Like the meta stickers, the new style is terrifying in a strange uncanny valley way. It would be fine if they allowed it to option between 2D & 3D so you could have a choice, but no such luck. Going to miss little cartoon me, she was fun. Sleep paralysis demon me is getting uninstalled.

Update 7.5.25: Stopped using the app altogether after the implementation of the 3D style. Uninstall. Was great as it was. --- A friend put me on to this now I'm addicted to using it! My biggest thing with it though is being able to search for a bitmoji more easily from the keyboard. It's too tedious to search through the lengthy categories. Sometimes you miss a good moment to use a bm taking too long to search for the right one.

I miss the previous bitmoji (the Bitmoji deluxe). They looked so much better. The 3D versions look like creepy marionettes. It's odd seeing 3D bitmojis with the previous 2D environments. The 2D versions had distinguishable, dark lines and definition that the 3D version lacks. The facial expressions on the 2D versions were more endearing and possessed a certain element all its own. An option would go a long way. Very disappointed. Used to be 5 stars. They've lost their charm. 🥲

I used to love, love this app. I'd spend like an hour just looking thru all the pics. But now they made it 3D... it's not cute anymore. It's harder, too, to see it clearly without the black outline. it just completely blends in with whatever background it's in, if that makes sense. For someone who has bad 👀, it's not easy. Anyway, that is my ONLY complaint. I had this really weird phone a few years ago and it broke and would only let me send pictures Bitmoji helped a lot when I couldn't call😁

My bit no longer looks like me. ppl used to tell me all the time how it looked EXACTLY like me. now i look like I spent too much time in a tanning bed & too thin. they've changed the animation styles & once upon a time got to choose which style I preferred. I've always been a fan of the originals going back to bitstrips. Now I wont even use it. There's no point, since I can't get it to look anything like me. plz bring back the previous styles& let ppl choose! Otherwise will uninstall.

Fastest delete ever. SO UGLY. What on Earth were they thinking in changing the art?! The 2D avatars were crisp and cute, they were JUST FINE. This new 3D change made me delete as soon as I saw what had happened. The 3D looks NOTHING like me, and I spent hours getting my little me sticker to look just right before. Everything is blurry, the hair looks like a kid did it, the colors are all wrong, & they're creepy! Updates are supposed to make things better, I thought. Oh well. I'm out.

Like many others here, I used bitmoji for years and loved it. When I was a teacher, I used it for presentations to add some light-hearted fun and color. It was great to send to friends too! As of the latest update, my bitmoji is, frankly, ugly. I really tried to customize it the best I could, but some of the facial expressions for the stickers were scary and jarring. Not cute at all. I'm still not fully over Facebook changing their style. Et tu, Snapchat? I had to uninstall. What a shame.

Honestly, the 3D update is just disappointing. It feels outdated, especially with the still cartoon/2D backgrounds, and somehow it doesn't look like me anymore. it used to be fun and adorable sending them to friends, and now I click in the app and it just makes me sad. I wish we could have the option to revert back. Let people decide which version they want to use.

What happened?? I used to love my bitmoji and used it all the time. Especially with the grands. Now it looks horrible. And tiny. If I pop one in from my keyboard, it's as small as the regular emojis. It used to be pretty good sized in Messenger and Textra. Now it's only big when directly selected from the app. That's a real pain in the tucas!! Also, the face coloring is all off. With my glasses selection it looks like I have heavy makeup on or something. That's just weird. I'm not impressed.

The update is really creepy looking; I had 5 stars in 2022 but have to drop it to 1. I can't speak for others but the appeal of a cartoon version of myself was to silly to pass up; my cartoon me was fun and cute and looked like me. The new version is creepy, not fun to look at and is washed out version of cartoon me, it was awesome! The new version is too "realistic" and doesn't capture the fun it used to have. Ill hold on for a little while longer for a hopeful change before I delete.

I used to love this app. The cartoon avatars had a lot of character and some of the stickers were hilarious. but I was forced into the 3d downgrade and they look terrible. They're honestly embarrassing looking now and the stickers lack the contrast that the cartoon outlines gave the contents of the stickers before, so many of them also don't "read" as easily as the old ones. I won't be using these and if I can find a different app with avatars more like the old ones I will be switching.

I totally loved this app until they took away the 2D imaging! 😔 While they say they went to 3D for users to have a more realistic experience, the whole point of having a Bitmoji was to have an ANIMATED version of you, not something that looks blurry & robotic. I wish they'd at least give users the option of choosing between 2D & 3D, then everyone would be happy. If no changes are made, will probably delete b/c I won't use this version.

The art style changed to a 3-D and it does NOT look good. Everything is very pixeley, and looks weird. I dont know if it's using AI now, but it definitely has an AI-looking vibe, how things are kind of "off", but you can't tell what. I definitely prefer the art style where it had black outlined and looked more "drawn". The integration into my messages and stuff still works fine, and I like the options it comes up with, I just HATE the new art style now.

This used to be one of my favorite apps. I'm so sad they took the 2D version away. The two-dimensional characters felt like little comics of me and my family and friends. The 3D version just doesn't have the same charm, because it doesn't feel like comics anymore. If they could add an option to slide 3D on and off, that would be fine by me. They could call it "Bitmoji classic" and "Bitmoji 3D" or something like that. There are so many 3D avatars out there. The 2D had unique charm, like a comic!

The latest update is horrible. The "3D" look is blurry, creepy, and honestly just bad. It's like they were trying to make the pictures look realistic, but the backgrounds are still cartoony so it just looks awkward. I wish they just stuck with the original cartoon format or at the very least gave users the option to opt out of the "upgrade". Classic case of fixing something that wasn't broken and making it worse.

I've loved this app for years and frequently use my bitmoji in all of my chats. However, I am very unhappy with the sudden switch from the classic 2D stylistic images to a more realistic 3D image that honestly creeps me out a bit (uncanny valley maybe?). I wish they would have provided warning about the switch and I wish there was an option to stick with the original, familiar style or switch to the new one. I may eventually get used to the new style, but I don't think I'll enjoy/use it as much

the classic version had better choices of colors to fit my appearance. there's not many options for hair styles with color like the classic styles had. I tried to endure this new version, but I can no longer find myself, my character. it was a great app, but now it's ruined by the updates. I had no choice in this awful up grade. I will be deleting this app. Very unsatisfied.

Used to love this app... until they took away the ability to create graphics with friends. Without the ability to add my phone number, my boyfriend and I can't be friends, and we can't create graphics of both of our emoji together. Friends of ours do this and invited us to do the same, but we don't have the ability. It's just disappointing. Plus, honestly, the bitmojis used to be better and looked more like us. Since they were updated years ago, they don't look as good.

The bitmoji app is great and fun to use while texting friends or using Snapchat. However, I have noticed a few flaws that could be improved. For example, the clothes are difficult to find and the accessories are limited. First, searching for clothes is difficult. I use to be able to search up different categories for outfits, but now I have to scroll down and try to find different categories that way which takes long and is a pain! I also noticed that they get rid of clothes that aren’t in season. Now, if I wanted to put on a Christmas sweater the day after Halloween or I wanted to put on a Halloween outfit in August (early I know but I get excited) I can’t because the option won’t pop up until closer to that time. The option of necklaces and bracelets is nonexistent. I think it’d be something nice to add and would complete some of my outfits. I was very happy to see they added earring, but we could still use some more jewelry. Also, what about scarfs? I like to wear plaid scarfs with plain sweaters and jeans in the winter. I’d like my bitmoji to have the same cute outfits. It may not be necessary, but it’d certainly be a nice touch. In conclusion, this app is fun to use, but it could use some improvements. I highly suggest you listen to what I listed above and fix these flaws. Without the flaws I listed above, this app truly would be great.

In the not so distant past I absolutely loved almost every part of this app! I loved the variety it offered and the options to integrate it with certain other keyboards and apps, as well as the option isw friendmojis I believe they're called. But now, I almost hate it and practically never use it. Inside the Snapchat app the Bitmoji options, as well as cameo selfies, stickers, and every other category NEVER load!! I've started looking for better alternatives.

This app is so fun and cool! There are so many different stickers. Funny ones, casual ones, relatable ones, and there are so many different moods and you can even costimize a sticker! You can also use a sticker with both you and one of your friends who also have Bitmoji as a co-star! There are many different outfits, tops, bottoms, jackets, dresses, face wear, headwear and more. There is one problem that specifically bothers me. There are SOO many different hairstyles and hair types, but I can not find hair that matches my curls. The 56th hairstyle (exactly 14 rows down) is my hair type. Those curls match my hair perfectly, except the curls continue and my hair is much longer. If we could get a longer hair version of this, my Bitmoji would actually look like me. Another thing that I think would help people’s Bitmoji out a lot is if there was a slider or something to costomize your hair length instead of having to scroll far down to find your hairstyle, or to NOT even find one that matches. THIS WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED AND IF THIS WAS A THING, I would give the app 5 STARS. I love the style of the Bitmoji keybaord, character options, outfits, hair styles, ALL OF IT. Plus, I have not seen not one ad. Yet its free?! Its just awesome. Thanks Bitmoji!!! Edit- In line with another review I saw, it would be nice to be able to customize teeth. I think it would be very useful to have as a feature. Edit-- It needs more lip options, and maybe face blemishes.

So much fun!! And I only had a couple of minor adjustments to my face.. nose and eyebrows... Now it looks exactly like me!! Love the creativity it promotes... everyone gets a kick out of it when I send them messages! I'm on the same page as another review entery by Sheila Bradley...I am 50+ as well, and it really personalizes my messages to family and friends!!! I have not experienced any glitches, issues, or problems what-so-ever!! Great App/program!!! I absolutely love it! Thank you!!

The Bitmoji app is pretty cool and I have fun with it. They should add more jewelry such as a variety of necklaces and more earrings from which to choose. More hairstyles, shades of hair color, eye makeup, blushes and lip colors are needed as well. The variety in clothes and shoes is great as well as being able to choose colors for clothing and shoes. And the tuck button is a very creative addition! I just have a problem connecting my bitmoji to my keyboard.

Wow! Bitmoji is a terrific app to use and I absolutely love it. My family, friends, and I have competitions to see who can go the longest only talking in Bitmojis. Amazing app! A few things are limited though. I role play in Bitmoji (weird, I know) so I would love to see some updates in headgear and clothing. In some Bitmojis, it changes your outfit (bride, groom, puppy), so I would love to see those outfits available for use in the wardrobe. Any long dresses would be much appreciated! Also for wardrobe, it would be cool if you started by either looking at featured outfits or choosing a brand (Black Label, BitmojiSun, Brrrrmoji, etc) so you wouldn’t have to scroll all the way down. My biggest complaint; Snapchat. I would LOVE to use 2 player Bitmojis and Bitmoji Parties in Apple messages or texting! However, I’m sure there are lots of people like me who don’t have Snapchat or aren’t allowed to use it (kids)! So please try to let some other apps allow 2 Person Bitmojis and Bitmoji Parties! I am completely aware though that, being owned by Snapchat, Bitmoji is trying to advertise Snapchat. One more thing- multiple Bitmojis! I have lots of friends and they all say “Oh, do a Bitmoji of me!” And I have to say “I can’t, it would overwrite my data. And you’d look terrible in Bitmoji Classic LOL.” Please improve game! Still sad Bitstrips got canceled! Stay safe!

I've been using Bitmoji since the start through all the improvements, and I still enjoy how fun and expressive it is. That said, I'm still waiting for color options to be more like a slider bar or something. The hair color especially gets me. I can never get an exact match just a kinda, sorta, close enough.

I am such a fan of Bitmoji. I play around and make random avatars with Bitmoji. I also make Bitmojis for my contacts, and I can more easily locate which one I’m looking for because the Bitmoji will look like the person. I don’t have to read the names. I wish there were dresses though! That’s why I gave it 4 stars not 5. Dresses are mostly what I wear. To make a “dress” I will mix a leotard and a skirt. You can choose a dress already made by Bitmoji, but you can’t customize it to make it a color you like. I also wish there were earrings, necklaces, bracelets, braces and stuff of that sort. I also wish there was split-dye hair. And. Another suggestion would be to let you save Bitmojis, so if you want to go back to one Bitmoji you don’t have to try and remake it again. I also wish that you could alter the length and color of your hair by yourself. And upload clothes and shoes. There should also be more sock sizes, and some tall boots, like snowboots, and knee length boots. The selfie feature does not work for me :(But still - get the app! It’s really useful. New stickers are put every day, and now they’ve started adding hairstyles, I think due to all the requests for curly hair and braids and bangs

I love this app! But there has been one issue that have been there for me and many other from the beginning. There are options for straight hair, kind of Wavy hair, and extremely curly/kinky hair. But there is not a single option for looser curls. Afro texture is almost all there is, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’m glad they have so many options for those with super curly locks! But as a curly haired woman myself, everyone (a lot of girls) I’ve met with the same hair texture as me have complained about this when it’s brought up. This includes every women in my family, we have been forced to use straight hair on our bitmojjis. And my god is it annoying that not one style of hair matches our incredibly common curly hair texture. There is (being generous) maybe one hair option in-between straight/sight wave, and 4C kinky curls. Even just adding three or four generic options at different lengths in the very middle of wavy and kinky would make SO many people happier with the app. If there were 4 groups of hair, moving from straightest to curliest, just to illustrate. Let’s say: Straight. Wavy. Curly. Kinky. There would be nothing for the curly category for women except maybe one hair style. Please make more hair!!!!!!!! I’ve been waiting for it for years now! And am leaving this comment after silently just hoping for an update.
