The latest update ruined the app. Every time I talk using the actual phone, Zello shows the microphone icon crossed, and says something else is using the microphone, and I have to restart Zello in order to unblock it. Haven't found any other way to do it. It wasn't like this before the last couple of updates, it was working perfectly, so this is a new bug. I'm only rating it this low to get the developer's attention, it's an awesome app with some fixable bugs that are ruining it for the moment.
Other channels cannot be mute and its annoying to hear. We're using zello works account. Its paid account. Please make an update to mute the other channels.
they allow anyone to make a channel . most people make a channel to harass and bully other people. steal profile pictures. make AI recordings of you . make fake account under your name . when you report them zello does Nothing about it. you complain over their E-mail 📨 they will come back with you need to use the zello report button . supposedly they say that will send it to the right team on zello and they will handle it. but it never happens.
a very handy app in case of power outage and or certain situations that it being used until your able to get your phone working again I was wondering if you guys can update the app to be able to put your own profile picture on your profile if it's possible though
stucked in "checking usernane" can not create account, unysable app... my internet is 500mbps and working fine with ither apps.. tried ti reinstall it many times, but still not working, still stucjed in "checking username"

Worked fine for a while, then recently started to glitch and randomly record conversations and send to all other phones in our group when no one was using the app or had it open. Had to restart all phones in the group to get it to stop. A few days later, the same thing happened. Uninstalled from all phones in our family group since the app was essentially randomly turning on and running itself with no apparent way to stop the glitch.
I'm bedridden recovering from extensive surgery. A friend is taking care of me around the clock, we got very tired of shouting back and forth room to room, I got the idea there might be an app we could use on our Samsung Galaxy phones to use as a walkie-talkie and BAM! We found Zello, it had a high rating and I can see why now! We got it up and running in no time, it works fabulously, we integrated the widget and its now one touch walkie-talkie! what an amazing piece of technology!
Can you make the app work? The app will turn on randomly and start blasting radio traffic. The only way I can make this stop is by hitting sign out in the app (closing the app or hitting "exit" in app doesn't stop the sound). Then when I do need to quickly open the app to hear a dispatch it takes 3 min to sign in, making me miss the dispatch. For those who don't have the app, signing in is as easy as taping your username but it will load for ever.

Mine didn't work for months on end amd then all of the sudden started to work. Same goes for a few friends of mine. We all have newer headsets and phones. Please fix this issue so we aren't constantly touching our phones to talk.

The latest update ruined the app. Every time I talk using the actual phone, Zello shows the microphone icon crossed, and says something else is using the microphone, and I have to restart Zello in order to unblock it. Haven't found any other way to do it. It wasn't like this before the last couple of updates, it was working perfectly, so this is a new bug. I'm only rating it this low to get the developer's attention, it's an awesome app with some fixable bugs that are ruining it for the moment.
I'm bedridden recovering from extensive surgery. A friend is taking care of me around the clock, we got very tired of shouting back and forth room to room, I got the idea there might be an app we could use on our Samsung Galaxy phones to use as a walkie-talkie and BAM! We found Zello, it had a high rating and I can see why now! We got it up and running in no time, it works fabulously, we integrated the widget and its now one touch walkie-talkie! what an amazing piece of technology!
Can you make the app work? The app will turn on randomly and start blasting radio traffic. The only way I can make this stop is by hitting sign out in the app (closing the app or hitting "exit" in app doesn't stop the sound). Then when I do need to quickly open the app to hear a dispatch it takes 3 min to sign in, making me miss the dispatch. For those who don't have the app, signing in is as easy as taping your username but it will load for ever.
Makes my nights a lot easier to get through when I'm trying to stay awake. A lot of issues with the PTT button for blue parrot headset. Mine didn't work for months on end amd then all of the sudden started to work. Same goes for a few friends of mine. We all have newer headsets and phones. Please fix this issue so we aren't constantly touching our phones to talk.
Really was enjoying this app, with my wife, until it stopped connecting. It keeps us both in standby, or offline, regardless of changing our status manually. Even when it said available on our ends, it still shows the other offline or in standby. Unless we force quit and restart, it just won't reconnect either one of us. Even then, it doesn't always work. If it's a setting, we can't figure out which one. I don't think it is, because we reset to factory settings, and it still does it. Too bad.
It's good when it works, but it's unreliable. I'm on Android, partner is on iPhone. Frequently when I try to send her a message, she never receives it until manually she opens the app, despite the "Keep Alive" option being on and her status being a green "standby." It's a frustrating experience communicating with nobody, waiting for a response that never comes.
Talking with family and friends and groups is easier now with Zello. I didn't give a 5 rating largely because I keep getting a request from a group that has been closed by their administrator and cannot block the continual requests. Several of my friends keep getting the same request (and the "administrator" can't fix it either.) Please fix this glitch and communicate back with me. Again, the PTT works great.
I've would pay (once, no subscription) for a version that doesn't have constant issues. But for the last few years I have often had to exit zello, or turn on and off airplane mode just to get messages to send -with several different phones over the years. And now, within the last month or so, zello completely disconnects after probably 30 seconds of my phone being locked, so I miss messages. Support doesn't respond to emails. Makes me very hesitant ever to spend on this app.
The last couple months, I've been noticing a lot of DELAYS in sending and receiving messages (the app holds the message in the queue, anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes). We use this app for a business, and all the delays are becoming problematic enough that we may stop using this app very soon. I've been expecting patch updates and improvements, but it only seems to get worse lately. Once you get in a conversation with someone there seems to be a lot less delay and it's more stable.
Worked fine for a while, then recently started to glitch and randomly record conversations and send to all other phones in our group when no one was using the app or had it open. Had to restart all phones in the group to get it to stop. A few days later, the same thing happened. Uninstalled from all phones in our family group since the app was essentially randomly turning on and running itself with no apparent way to stop the glitch.
