Tape-a-Talk Voice Recorder

My go to Recording App! I have lots of creative ideas that come and go in the moment and this App has been essential when trying to capture them. It's easy, it's simple, and efficient. You can decide where to store your files so they never go missing. I have switched phones multiple times and all my recordings follow me on my SD card. Easy, simple, done! I'm not going to look elsewhere because I have no reason to. Love it!

I'm upset. This used to be a really good app. However, a recent upgrade (without explaining the changes or notifying users) has deleted ALL my files. These were very important files. The "upgrade" has left no way to recover them - even using their migration tab (not easily located). I am not happy. Allegedly there is an option to upload new files to cloud storage but the setting can't be found . Other options in the descriptions areFALSE !!! This app didn't improve; it was destroyed. Not happy.

Recent update rendered this app useless. It won't let me record anything until I select an alternative directory. It won't let me select an alternative directory. So, it's absolutely useless now. It's a phone app. It should be stupid easy to use. I shouldn't have to devote more than 60 seconds learning how to do anything to operate it. Three stars only because it worked so well for many years.

Not happy about what just happened. All my files were deleted just recently. Like in the last day or so. How do I retrieve them? Why aren't they in an easy access place for me to find them? Sounds like I have to go through alot of trouble to retrieve them when they shouldn't have been deleted without notifying me that it was going to happen after an update that I was alo not notified about pryor to the update. Please walk me through how to find my recordings on my phone.

Great app! As soon as I figure out if and how to get it to my pc, I'll give it a 5 star! I've followed directions, but still doesn't work. I've got about 2.5 GB to switch over and my phone is filling up fast! ADMIN ~ HELP WITH THAT WOULD BE GREAT! Super easy to record and play back, pause, rename, etc. I have used it for meetings, record myself for practice chats, and speaker calls while in car. It really pics up the sound nice ~ clean, crisp, and clear unless the speaker was inaudible. It's the only recording app I'll use!

Fails to save recording if switch to other apps or if screen times out or if accidentally lock phone while recording. All is lost. Tried using other recorders in hopes of finding something that wouldn't lose live recordings. But I keep coming back to Tapatalk bc overall as long as don't switch apps or lock the screen TapeaTalk has the most reliable quality with no weird time limits. By far.

Not impressed. Uninstalled it. Every time I open the app there's a big popup telling me about "New Features & Updates." Okay, we get it, we don't need to keep seeing it AND IT INTERFERES with starting to record. SOUND QUALITY: Meh, it's kind of muddy. Sounds like I had a towel over my mouth, LOL. I can't hear a difference between "High Quality" (.wav) and standard. I give it 3 stars only because it does record voice, but not very well.

Wonderful 👏 recording! Playback is spot on. Haven't had not one malfunction or app messing up on/during my recordings out of 7 totalling around 1 hour each. The only, "if I could change or add anything" would to have a better playback functions as far as rewind , fast forwarding. As it stands now, you have to use your finger and drag the dot back and forth on the recorded line.

Does the job. Reliably using it for years. And there are problems that I think heard which are leading me to look for another app despite owning this one. If you navigate away from the app into another app, the recording continues but no audio is recorded. also you're recording a segment and your phone screen turns off to the timing out, it continues recording but no audio content is recorded.

I have enjoyed using this app for a number of years now. I was really thrilled when I learned that I could rename what I had recorded making it easier to find old recordings. 5/20/21 - While renaming a recent recording, my recording just disappeared. Would like to know what can be done to recover my audio recording. 12/16/22 - Where are my old recordings? Don't see any of my old saved recordings.

Been using this for years. It is what it says it is. It's a voice recording app and it's super useful. It's even great for helping you to practice a speech by recording it. And unlike some things that you can use for voice recording it doesn't have a proprietary file format that's hard to work with afterwards

I migrated my old recordings using the automatic way in settings. All of them seem to be visible now, but very disappointed that the date and timestamps were lost and reset to today. Poor execution on the migration, you should have kept the dates and times from the original recordings.

For those of you who lost many recordings as I have from an update to this app, the files can be found if you search for .wav from a file app. If you didn't modify the original way you recorded them. I had a recording of my father who had passed on years ago and I never thought an update would erase those important files. I was heartbroken when I saw the files disappear. Along with those I found many recordings I made of inspirational quotes from different people I looked up to and admired.

works fine. good features. intuitive. new look would be appreciated...but not at the expense of functionality. After using it for some time, I'm having trouble saving the files on external storage. Not sure if it's the app or the phone.
