If this app didn't have a monopoly I'd scrap it in a hot minute. They just raised the price about 30% for what? Blacked out games, slow streaming and freezing, little to no customer service, and cutting features. Do yourself a favour and forget about this app.

Bad app and bad service overall. Technical glitches, poor interface and seemingly bad selection of highlight clips. For example - where are the "game in 30's"? Only few minute highlights not even the 10 minute ones you find free on youtube? App also misidentifies IP address as not in country. What a mess, at this stage it seems sportsnet will never have enough time to fix this service.

App constantly crashes when we're using airplay, regardless of device (iPad, iPhone) and regardless of which TV we're using. It won't even Chromecast from my Samsung phone. When we try to stream with the app on the Playstation, we can't pause, and we can't rewind. If we select "Start Over" to play a game from the beginning, it takes us to the live game. We have Roku and can't get the SportsNet app on Roku. After using the MLB app for the last 2 years, the SportsNet app is junk in comparison.

Why is it that suddenly the app freezes constantly? I have a strong signal but I can't watch anything live in the app without constant freezing every 5-10 seconds. App is terrible!

When watching on my phone, no problem. When using Chromecast, the choppy playback makes it impossible to watch. Even on my Samsung TV, with the app installed, the game buffers ever minute. I'm a big hockey guy and I'm incredibly disappointed that Rogers has the contract for playoffs. My TSN app works without issue. I'd pay them double what I'm paying Rogers for this trash. And it's been like this for years.

Absolutely horrible app. Don't get me wrong I still pay the flippin' money because I gotta watch the goods. But terrible playback, either kicked out constantly, takes forever to load, laggy and no it's not because of the wifi. That's Sportsnet plus baby. Brand new phone/ tablet, top internet option... still god awful. If you can think of a terrible quality streaming service... I guarantee this is worse. But like me, I'm sure you'll pay the money anyways. So 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

aThe app works horribly on a good day. Streams skip and stutter constantly. I get logged out of every app on every platform. Complete and utter garbage and now they want more money for it. I'll find another way to watch.

The app works fine for info and updates if your getting the app for sportsnet+ check elsewhere first, cause I bought subscription and I try to pause or cancel it and you can't through app they send you to do it on desktop then when on desktop it says to do it on original device you used basically they don't want you to cancel

It's insane that they can charge so much for the service and have it be so bad. Streaming quality sucks. Constant crashes where it says "An error has occured". Time to drop Rogers services entirely.

Worst app ever. Whether streaming live on phone, or casting, just abysmal. I have a super duper cellphone and fibre-optic high bandwidth connectivity. This from Canada's top multimedia company. And raised their rates with absolutely no improvement on quality of product. Just terrible.

This app is brutal. And from what I'm reading here, it has been for a long time and they don't really seem to care. I've tried casting it to Chromecast, installing it on Buzz Box, and finally on PS4. It is unbelievably glitchy and choppy. There are several other apps I have installed on all of these devices (Netflix, Disney, Prime, YouTube, TSN), and none of them have the issues that Sportsnet has. Get it together, you've got more than enough money to develop a functional app.

I would give zero stars if I could. The app constantly crashes. I would say I have to restart the app 5-10 times per period, all while dealing with buffering during the game. I've localized it to the app because every other app works fine for me, but this app crashes on multiple platforms. I often get error messages that say I need to sign in again, and then when I reset the app, I don't need to sign in. Hey Sportsnet, listen to the reviews here and fix your app!!

absolute rubbish app. basically no other way to watch the NHL games, but when it's a popular game the feed fails constantly! (also have measured our upload and download speeds: it is Sportsnet). assim they are all about the $$_ and haven't bothered to upgrade. happy to still charge everyone though.

30% price hike for the worst sports app in history? cancelled my subscipton with 0% chance of renewing. Screen keeps going black, really annoying for watching live games. update over a year later still hasn't gotten better, sucks Canada doesn't have a better option. Stanley cup final game one and the stream keeps freezing. what a garbage app.

Buggy and slow and overall frustrating app, on phone as well as Amazon fire TV. performance aside, I find it ridiculous that you cannot manage your subscription on any device other than the one you signed up on. what if I were to not have access to that device anymore? I have to keep paying you indefinitely? garbage.

Let's review the pros/cons Pros: multiple sports League viewing(although I only watch NHL and the stampede) Cons: Blackouts. Being forced to watch ads on a service I'm paying an exorbitant amount of money for. Poor quality Video feed even on an extremely high speed connection. System crashes when trying to use features (pause/rewind of live games) Only being able to pause/rewind 1:20 of game feed time. The Price! a 25% increase in one year from $250/year to $325/year. No, I will not be renewing

Spent $35 for the 30 days of WWE content. Only to find out they removed the Video On Demand featuring all the old WWE PPVs. So for 35 a month, I get to watch 3 weekly shows that are available on cable. So I figured I will utilize the 35 dollars on the Saturday Oct 5 PLE. The Audio was so bad, it was skipping. Than 30 min in, the Chinese audio was in the background. And it want WWE. Everyone outside of Canada had perfect audio. The horrible sound quality was from Sportsnet.

I pretty much only use this to watch baseball on my phone (Galaxy A8). Last year, the app was such a battery hog it drained the battery even with the phone plugged in, and the phone got extremely hot. Updated today to watch some spring training, and it seems they fixed the battery issue...by not preventing the phone from sleeping. I suppose the battery won't run out as fast with the phone asleep!

Worst app I've ever used to watch sports live. It randomly closes from doing crazy things like, for example, switching your phone from landscape to portrait mode. The worst part is it closes the app, but the audio keeps broadcasting. When you restart the app to see the video, see you then have two audio broadcasts that are out of sync. Sportsnet, stabilize your app and make it work properly.

for the price of this service, it's absolute garbage. streaming just feels so bad. 720p picture, always freezing or disconnecting. Drops Chromecast, gets simplified and features removed. Not to mention that Sportsnet Central is so much worse now. 63% increase in price in two years and nothing to show for it.

I love this app! Instant access to a wide variety of sports has maintained my interest in my favourites and piqued my interest in several other sports. The biggest beef is the issue of the app frequently freezing or not loading correctly. The freezing happens part way through video clips or even when scrolling through articles. This definitely takes away from the overall experience. Hi, sorry to hear the issue you are facing. Can you let us know what phone you are using and what iOS version you are using and we can try to reproduce here.

I used to be able to connect my device to a tv and get the full screen. Now it only comes up vertically! Works good on my device though. Hi, Thanks for your inquiry. At the current time streaming of Sportsnet Live channels from Apple iPhone, iPad devices directly to your TV through HDMI is no longer supported due to the latest updates to the security of our video streams. We do remain committed to providing options for you to stream high quality Sportsnet NOW content to your TV, including HDMI connection from a Laptop / PC, using Apple Airplay, a native app for Apple TV 4th Gen, and Xbox One, and support for Chromecast.

Attempts to sign in via cable provider (Rogers) repeatedly fail. The problem is with the app, NOT the credentials. The exact same credentials are used by me to sign in to various other TV apps without issue. Therefore, the problem is with the app. Device: iPad Pro 9.7” o/s: iPadOS 13.3.1 Hello! We are very sorry to hear you are experiencing issues! Can you please try the following steps to resolve? Log out and back in to the app (upon log in – do not use the iOS auto-fill of password, manually type in username and password on the TV provider logon page) If this does not work please try the below: Delete the app, re-install and try to log in again (upon log in – do not use the iOS auto-fill of password, manually type in username and password on the TV provider logon page)

The app works fine for info and updates if your getting the app for sportsnet+ check elsewhere first, cause I bought subscription and I try to pause or cancel it and you can't through app they send you to do it on desktop then when on desktop it says to do it on original device you used basically they don't want you to cancel
