It was a really good app and it's easy to use but after I was ready to export my video... I couldn't export it? You have to pay. to save the video. Isn't being able to save the video like the bare minimum?? And why are the reviews just glazing over this? You need to be able to save the video to your phone for free on an editing app...
GIVE US THE OPTION TO FREELY CROSSFADE TEXT IN/OUT! The fade options under "Opacity" don't cut it because you can't actually control how long or short the fade is, the way you can with media! 👎 I should be able to choose whether my text fades out in 3.0 seconds, or 2.8 seconds, or 0.5 seconds, etc. but we're forced to use a pre-determined length. This feature is vital for my content and now I have to resort to finding a different editing app that allows text animations.
I've been video editing since 2010, but soley on the computer. I refused to use my phone or tablet because I relied too much on the mouse. I found it easier to be more precise than using my finger. Fastforward 13 years, and I'm starting to use social media more, along with video editing. I downloaded this app and have been very pleased so far. Wish they had more options, but I'm sure they'll get to it. Maybe add more effects and definitely more sounds. It's a great basic app for video editing.
For the most part, I like this app. I have used it to make video montages, and to clip together photos for stop-motion movies. The selection of free, licensed songs is pretty good (they're like soundtrack songs more or less). My biggest gripe is that on my Samsung Galaxy there is no "apply to all" button. So if I am editing 30 videos/photos I have to go to EACH item and edit it. It's annoying.
Had to help my kid with a class project and gave Splice a try. Very easy to use. It was the first tutorial I made and it turned out great. The only thing I found annoying was that I had to turn the volume up after voice recording. But maybe there's a setting that automatically plays recordings at a level? Overall, it saves me hours. I was able to upload a 2 min. video to YouTube within a couple minutes.
