well, I've just applied for my first job after a long time out of work. I'm ready to hold a job down now and make it my purpose. Indeed, the job search never really turned up anything suitable for me. But THIS job ive just applied for is a role I believe I have a chance at getting!

Terrible app - a waste of time. It advertises thousands of jobs - but the vast majority of them are duplicates. For example I had to scroll through hundreds of postings for bike courier roles - which were all being advertised by the same company. There were countless examples of this and various other "tricks" to bolster the jobs on offer - many of which, having looked closer were not offering meaningful employment. In the end I just gave up.

Used to be good, now just full of dozens and dozens of listings for the same positions (EE retail advisor or sales assistant at the moment, though I've seen about 5 billion for Amazon previously, as other reviews have mentioned). No way to report any of them as spam, or filter out that employer or agency, so short of going through them one-by-one and hiding them (which I did and gave up after about 20!), there's no avoiding them. I'll use Indeed instead - it's much more user-friendly.

Unfortunately the app is terrible, if you search for anything for example, like retail, or regional management in the same sector, Your results come back as registered nurses, builders, electrician, the list goes on, it's anything but what you require, if you try to be more specific, it gets worse. Shame really as Reed used to be on the mark for jobs.

I used to come to reed all the time when looking for a career change. But now even when I specifically filter my options I get 1000's of training courses disguised as job adverts. There is no way to get rid of them as there "featured" and its making it difficult to find the jobs I want to apply for. Latest search came up with 179 jobs, all from the training centre for IT roles or IT swap when I'm looking for sales.... not to mention, when you hid them, the just come back - well annoyed but it

Good App. I noticed a few bugs while making a CV, especially in the qualifications part, the main one being that in the "others" section of the qualifications, if you delete a subject you can save what youve written, but the only way to get the subject fill-in back is by leaving and going back in. Other than that easy to use, the tinder formst is a neat idea.

Not great, constantly sends notifications saying I've got jobs in my shortlist when I have nothing in my shortlist. Recommends jobs for experienced health professionals when I've only ever worked in customer service (and searched exclusively for that term), offers jobs that are nowhere close to the minimum salary I'm searching for. You end up having to sift through a lot of dross to find anything worthwhile (and even then, it'll have a hidden must have criteria that means you don't qualify)

Not so much a job app. used mostly to promote expensive courses. I don't think it's actually maintained with regular job ads.

this app is very good 👍 in showing Job vacancies, and summiting of application. I give it 5 stars. My only issue is that I have not received any feedback from the employers, though is not up to 3 weeks I summited my application.

I must modify the previous review. it's useless. used to be a great app, but now it's supplying me with job invitations for work in foreign businesses. unfortunately, it no longer yields previous interview call numbers, so it is useless for job searching purposes.

Awful app, search for a specific job within a specific distance and you will get a long list of *featured jobs" that are unrelated to your search and outside your required distance! it's clear that these are paid advertisements and Reed are making a lot of money from them, but don't have the decency or integrity to be honest and upfront about this! at the very least they could post a warning so you are aware before starting a search! Years ago they used to be good now they are dishonest!

I was a huge fan of this app until last year. It changed. I think it started to search for keywords in the job descriptions or something because the results were all over the place. I’m a UX Designer and was getting things like Staff Nurse returned as a result. Every day, most results were useless. I recorded data over a period of time and sent it along with screen shots to the developers, but they said it was working as it should and weren’t any help. I began to use CV-Library and Indeed instead and while they both had their issues at least they seemed to make sense. It’s such a shame because I think the interface is brilliant, but the functionality lets it down.

I am currently spending a lot of time on job vacancy apps and Reed is the most user friendly by far. The fact I can swipe to save or discard a job which comes in matching my criteria makes everything so much easier and quicker. They’re use of quick apply also means you are able to apply for some jobs with literally two taps on the app. No other job vacancy app is anywhere near this level of ease or speed. Two things which are obviously key when looking and applying for jobs.

This app is the perfect addition to your career hunting plan. The app makes everything so much more easier because you can get career alerts and view in stack mode and swipe left if that career path isn’t for you then click the heart if you like it and that will shortlist it for later or you can apply once your CV is uploaded straight away and then each time there after you can view job info then apply with one click of a button literally. As well if you need help creating a CV on their online website, it’s free and you can edit it and rearrange at your own pleasure, I trust Reed and other websites and apps, but they are truly a company to be respected. Thank You Reed :)

So considering all the fancy adverts that this company runs on TV and various other platforms I was quite excited to use this app and the reed website believing that I would be able to find something quickly. I am still unemployed. The app has a major design flaw. It doesn’t let you simply pick a location and shows you every job within X amount of miles to your location. You have to chose a job title or partial title. Then it just shows you jobs that match that title. But what if you just want any job? I’m looking for a decent earner between terms at University. What job title is there if you just want to be a staff member at Tesco or Spar? Or be a cleaner? I tried the broadest terms I could think of. Assistant, Service etc. All I get are unsuitable jobs. Teachers assistant, restaurant manager? Trainee this, trainee that. These are job offerings that are designed to lead into their own careers. I already have my career path in mind I just need something in between. I’ve only had the app for around a week but I’ve been using the website for months. Since downloading the app I have found 0 jobs that I could apply to. To apply a very simple metaphor to how poor this app has performed imagine downloading a game app that didn’t have any game with it. Hi, Thanks for your feedback, sorry to hear that you've been having trouble using the app. Our most recent app version no longer requires you to input a job title, allowing you search just by location. This gives you greater flexibility in your job search and will return far broader search results. Hope that helps. Best wishes, The reed.co.uk team.

This app is very easy to use. When you login, it asks you if you want to make your job search sector specific. Once you have filled this out, it brings up jobs within this sector and you can literally swipe right or left dependant on whether you are interested in the position. Like Tinder! You can input different information on there, including salary, distance you want to travel, whether you are looking for a graduate top etc. It also shows jobs that are ending soon, so you know to apply as soon as possible. There is career advice, a help section contact details for reed offices and a feedback option. You can also change your email settings if you want to increase or decrease email notifications. I think it’s great you can do it all from this app. Hopefully I will be successful in my job search soon!
