App overall OK, but had inverter fail this summer, and found that app has no function to notify you when system is down. So if not checking daily, you have no way to know if system is down, unlike all other automated items I have like alarm, thermostat, water shutoff, and light switches. Cost me month of electric production by time inverter finally replaced.

The app does give you current information on production as well as history. Unfortunately it gives you no notifications if you have a problem. My inverter failed entirely. It was generating no power for days. If I do not open the app and check production repeatedly during daylight hours I have no way of knowing there's a problem. If there is no power generation for more than 24 hours why am I not notified? This seems it would be very critical information.

Inverters have not work properly since day 1. Horrible product. Do not buy these inverters. Update... 2 years later and the system still does not work write. I have been trying to switch to a new installer, and customer support just closed my case without working on it. I tried calling, and they refused to take my call. They are only taking calls from installers.

My one complaint would be the lack of notifications. Maybe it's not geared towards androids. I have them all turned on. I will go days without checking the app, just find out it lost connection and hasnt been recording the information the whole time. I find that it requires frequent resetting. Otherwise well detailed information when it's working.

Probably the most unreliable app I have ever installed. Functionality of reporting solar production is spotty, often not able to report today's production data until the next day or days later. At one point, it simply stopped reporting my solar production for well over a month. During that time, the app sometimes displayed a message that encouraged me not to complain. Not a reassuring gesture.

"No way to connect system to WIFI. Have to reconnect to the system every time the app is used." In reply, there is still no way to access WIFI. Evidently that is only for installers. Now that tech support got the system paired, the app no longer forces me to go through the re-connect steps. I can view the production in the app. That's it, just production. I guess I expected more.

Why doesn't your app have a feature that allows the user to know that there is something wrong with the system!? My inverter was damaged and my panels have been sitting idle which is bad for them. A very inexpensive piece of code could perform an automated push if there is an anomaly detected in the system. For example, I have two inverters and it would have been very easy for the app to notice that we were down 1/2 of our production as 1 of two inverters were down. It will save all of us money

The new updates are pretty, and easy to see all your info. That's really not super helpful though when one of the pieces of hardware goes out, and you don't know for a month because there is no kind of an alert. Once I saw my bill, I went into the app and looked. I could see in the app that the inverter was out. When I called the company, they could see on their side the exact day it stopped working. Nobody thought it would be smart to add a push notification to the app to alert the customer?

When everything is working, it's a really good app. I can view production on a daily/monthly/weekly basis, and compare that to similar past periods. I do wish the capability to sync up more with your electrical provider existed. For example, there is a billing section the app. It would be nice to be able to pull in electrical usage, and compare that to what was generated via your panels. Also, I recently have an inverter replaced, and all historical data was wiped out.

The app is thoughtfully designed and it's intuitive enough to be easily used. However, the app data is usually incorrect. At this moment, for example, my app doesn't display the battery or the grid power at all and it tells me I'm only producing 2.2kw, even though my utility meter shows that we're exporting almost 9 kw. It eventually catches up at the end of the day, but it just doesn't work for minute to minute updates. Also, it seemed better, but not perfect, a couple of months ago.

One word sums up this app. Unreliable. This app sometimes works, doesn't work, and sometimes disconnects altogether. The app gives a choice to refresh the feed so you could get the current state but it doesn't work, ever, it is just there as an idea. Doesn't work. You'll get periodic readings but not often and not the current state. At times it will be information from hours prior, days prior, no information from your solar production only consumption, and what the electric company provides.

This rating is solely for the app because if I could rate my actual solar panels I'd rate them a zero. But my app shows nothing except the first picture(the production picture/power flow) I don't get anything else with this app. They last guy to come out to fix my panels AGAIN even looked at my the app and said I should be able to access all sorts of cool stuff. Dissatisfied I can't go into more detail on our system when we should be able to.

I had a similar experience to a previous review in which my inverter failed after about a year, and i recieved no notification or alert that it had failed. I went almost three weeks with no solar energy production before i noticed the issue and another 6 weeks until sunnova was able to come fix it. This probably cost me close to $1000 in lost production. Other than this i would rate the app 5 stars. Maybe weekly or monthly notifications with a breakdown of the stats would be nice as well.

I would give a 0 stars if I could. App does not let und users set notifications! My unit stopped working and I was never notified which cost me almost $3000 when I got the bill. On top of this, my installer has been trying to get parts from them to fix. It has been 4 months and still nothing. It's under warranty. Recommend you avoid this system!!! Very unhappy with their product and support.

I had my inverter replaced due to it being defective. Since then, my app is not working properly. It says that I'm producing power but no updates for this month at all. And I keep getting "data unavailable " messages. SolarEdge Support is absolutely no help! Pointless to have an app that doesn't function as it should. Yes, I have un-installed and reinstalled the app and made sure it was up-to-date. I would give it ZERO stars if I could! Update: Days later, still nothing working correctly!

I like the app but the notifications suck! you get the notification at the top of your phone but when you try to open it to read it in full, it disappears. There is no way to read it entirely and there is not a notification's history. Their AI customer service is only useful if you need to reset the inverters... not for other needs.

Inaccurate and unreliable app. I've been using this app for 10 months. All was good until recently when suddenly the app showed incorrect production for September 2024--it now shows nearly double the production for that month. So now all of my cumulative and comparative data is skewed. The "support" function of the app doesn't work either--I've submitted questions but nothing happened. So overall this app is pretty worthless if you're expecting accuracy and reliability.

It's tedious to connect to the inverter, but that's not my main issue. My system is about 3 years old and has started to occasionally -- seemingly randomly -- stop producing. Restarting fixes the problem temporarily. Not great, but it's worse that there is no alert from the app! If I don't check the app, I don't know it's happening.

Provides very useful info. As soon as I gave this app a 5 star rating it lost connection with my solar panel system. I eventually reconnected but the app and website are erratic in how well the work. I haven't been able to see my daily stats for days but I can see the weekly, monthly, yearly, etc fine. I always have problems logging on via the web. I generally get server error messages. when I've tried to contact the company I generally don't get responses.

The app won't talk to the inverter. There is zero customer service. You can't talk to a real person. The only solution is to have your installer fix the problem but they have all gone out of business. No other installer will touch it if they didn't install it. 0/10 just don't do it! It worked fine for 3 years and now absolutely nothing. I have to physically make sure the inverter is working and hope the info the power company gets is correct.

I would give a 0 stars if I could. App does not let und users set notifications! My unit stopped working and I was never notified which cost me almost $3000 when I got the bill. On top of this, my installer has been trying to get parts from them to fix. It has been 4 months and still nothing. It's under warranty. Recommend you avoid this system!!! Very unhappy with their product and support.

I had my inverter replaced due to it being defective. Since then, my app is not working properly. It says that I'm producing power but no updates for this month at all. And I keep getting "data unavailable " messages. SolarEdge Support is absolutely no help! Pointless to have an app that doesn't function as it should. Yes, I have un-installed and reinstalled the app and made sure it was up-to-date. I would give it ZERO stars if I could! Update: Days later, still nothing working correctly!

I like the app but the notifications suck! you get the notification at the top of your phone but when you try to open it to read it in full, it disappears. There is no way to read it entirely and there is not a notification's history. Their AI customer service is only useful if you need to reset the inverters... not for other needs.

Inaccurate and unreliable app. I've been using this app for 10 months. All was good until recently when suddenly the app showed incorrect production for September 2024--it now shows nearly double the production for that month. So now all of my cumulative and comparative data is skewed. The "support" function of the app doesn't work either--I've submitted questions but nothing happened. So overall this app is pretty worthless if you're expecting accuracy and reliability.

It's tedious to connect to the inverter, but that's not my main issue. My system is about 3 years old and has started to occasionally -- seemingly randomly -- stop producing. Restarting fixes the problem temporarily. Not great, but it's worse that there is no alert from the app! If I don't check the app, I don't know it's happening.

Provides very useful info. As soon as I gave this app a 5 star rating it lost connection with my solar panel system. I eventually reconnected but the app and website are erratic in how well the work. I haven't been able to see my daily stats for days but I can see the weekly, monthly, yearly, etc fine. I always have problems logging on via the web. I generally get server error messages. when I've tried to contact the company I generally don't get responses.

The app won't talk to the inverter. There is zero customer service. You can't talk to a real person. The only solution is to have your installer fix the problem but they have all gone out of business. No other installer will touch it if they didn't install it. 0/10 just don't do it! It worked fine for 3 years and now absolutely nothing. I have to physically make sure the inverter is working and hope the info the power company gets is correct.

The app does give you current information on production as well as history. Unfortunately it gives you no notifications if you have a problem. My inverter failed entirely. It was generating no power for days. If I do not open the app and check production repeatedly during daylight hours I have no way of knowing there's a problem. If there is no power generation for more than 24 hours why am I not notified? This seems it would be very critical information.

My one complaint would be the lack of notifications. Maybe it's not geared towards androids. I have them all turned on. I will go days without checking the app, just find out it lost connection and hasnt been recording the information the whole time. I find that it requires frequent resetting. Otherwise well detailed information when it's working.

When everything is working, it's a really good app. I can view production on a daily/monthly/weekly basis, and compare that to similar past periods. I do wish the capability to sync up more with your electrical provider existed. For example, there is a billing section the app. It would be nice to be able to pull in electrical usage, and compare that to what was generated via your panels. Also, I recently have an inverter replaced, and all historical data was wiped out.

The app is thoughtfully designed and it's intuitive enough to be easily used. However, the app data is usually incorrect. At this moment, for example, my app doesn't display the battery or the grid power at all and it tells me I'm only producing 2.2kw, even though my utility meter shows that we're exporting almost 9 kw. It eventually catches up at the end of the day, but it just doesn't work for minute to minute updates. Also, it seemed better, but not perfect, a couple of months ago.

App overall OK, but had inverter fail this summer, and found that app has no function to notify you when system is down. So if not checking daily, you have no way to know if system is down, unlike all other automated items I have like alarm, thermostat, water shutoff, and light switches. Cost me month of electric production by time inverter finally replaced.

Now that tech support got the system paired, the app no longer forces me to go through the re-connect steps. I can view the production in the app. That's it, just production. I guess I expected more.

The new updates are pretty, and easy to see all your info. That's really not super helpful though when one of the pieces of hardware goes out, and you don't know for a month because there is no kind of an alert. Once I saw my bill, I went into the app and looked. I could see in the app that the inverter was out. When I called the company, they could see on their side the exact day it stopped working. Nobody thought it would be smart to add a push notification to the app to alert the customer?

I had a similar experience to a previous review in which my inverter failed after about a year, and i recieved no notification or alert that it had failed. I went almost three weeks with no solar energy production before i noticed the issue and another 6 weeks until sunnova was able to come fix it. This probably cost me close to $1000 in lost production. Other than this i would rate the app 5 stars. Maybe weekly or monthly notifications with a breakdown of the stats would be nice as well.

Inverters have not work properly since day 1. Horrible product. Do not buy these inverters. Update... 2 years later and the system still does not work write. I have been trying to switch to a new installer, and customer support just closed my case without working on it. I tried calling, and they refused to take my call. They are only taking calls from installers.

Probably the most unreliable app I have ever installed. Functionality of reporting solar production is spotty, often not able to report today's production data until the next day or days later. At one point, it simply stopped reporting my solar production for well over a month. During that time, the app sometimes displayed a message that encouraged me not to complain. Not a reassuring gesture.

Why doesn't your app have a feature that allows the user to know that there is something wrong with the system!? My inverter was damaged and my panels have been sitting idle which is bad for them. A very inexpensive piece of code could perform an automated push if there is an anomaly detected in the system. For example, I have two inverters and it would have been very easy for the app to notice that we were down 1/2 of our production as 1 of two inverters were down. It will save all of us money

This rating is solely for the app because if I could rate my actual solar panels I'd rate them a zero. But my app shows nothing except the first picture(the production picture/power flow) I don't get anything else with this app. They last guy to come out to fix my panels AGAIN even looked at my the app and said I should be able to access all sorts of cool stuff. Dissatisfied I can't go into more detail on our system when we should be able to.

One word sums up this app. Unreliable. This app sometimes works, doesn't work, and sometimes disconnects altogether. The app gives a choice to refresh the feed so you could get the current state but it doesn't work, ever, it is just there as an idea. Doesn't work. You'll get periodic readings but not often and not the current state. At times it will be information from hours prior, days prior, no information from your solar production only consumption, and what the electric company provides.
