Update: The developer responded right away with steps to correct the issue. That is awesome and I've updated my review I've been using this app for 3 years without a problem even though its usefulness is pretty minimal. However now all of a sudden it changes to a language other than English. I can't figure out how to switch it back the only thing I can do is delete all data and uninstall then reinstall. This works for a short time but it doesn't take long for the problem to crop back up.

Overall it's not a bad app as far as performance goes. The only thing that is bothering me is that at times the app will automatically go to the Bluetooth streaming + mic when I want it to be on automatic. It's annoying because it jumps back and forth between automatic and Bluetooth streaming + mic and I can tell a difference it does. Please fix!

Hearing aids in the charger all night, the right device would not activate in the morning. Contacted technical services and went through their instructions, and it seemed to work. Now, the left device won't connect to Bluetooth. I've spent 3 hours trying to fix it, reboot the phone, turn aids off, and on, trying to pair, still won't connect to blue tooth, and God knows what else. I put them back in the charger maybe they'll fix themseves!

The app, when it works properly, is great. However, that is not gonna happen all the time as constant disconnects occur. I have had to turn off call capability from my phone to my hearing aids just so my hearing aids can stay connected on a regular basis. I have fully uninstalled and reinstalled the app as well as completely reset my bluetooth connection. (And yes, my phone's bluetooth is fully connected to the hearing aids). 1 star until bug is fixed

Initially, these aids were good, but after a few months, one of them started acting up. It would suddenly just stop amplifying. I've tried replacing the wax guard with no success. Occasionally the aid will start working properly, but I can't figure out what triggers that. Sometimes, I can hear sound on that side, but increasing the volume doesn't have any effect. In addition, the app changes from individual control to dual control if I open any other apps.

This would be an ok app but I get a few seconds of static/white noise over my new hearing aids whenever I do anything with any of the other apps on my phone. Sounds like an old steam radiator. Can't find any way to get rid of it other than turn off Bluetooth, which defeats the purpose of having the app in the first place, as well as disconnecting my other Bluetooth items. This is with an Android phone, which Phonacs are supposed to be more compatible with than other brands.

It's nice to have Bluetooth to stream audio directly to my hearing aid, and to be able to adjust and save settings. But this app is buggy, and almost too annoying to use at times. Constantly disconnects, or reverts to "Automatic" when I've chosen another profile. It's like it fights me for control of my hearing aid. I've used it with two different kinds of hearing aid: in the ear and behind the ear. The connection was a little better with the BTE aid, but the app still randomly changed profiles.

Hate it. Too non-intuitive and some of its options are not explained anywhere I can find. I can't even get it off its automatic mode that switches between TV, music, etc. I now wish I could go back to the original settings my audiologist set. You should add the ability to save the original settings so they can be returned to if results turn out badly after adjusting them with this app as happened to me.

Won't hold connection to Android Auto. Won't hold connection to Motorola phone. Has proven impossible to connect both hearing aids to Motorola phone. With my old Samsung phone, I didn't have a care. The above was written shortly after I got my first pair of ears. Since then I have upgraded, and so has Phonak. The current iteration of the app doesn't seem to have any bugs or difficulties and works quite well. They definitely deserve a re-review and an upgrade in stars.

Not off to a good start with the app to go along with Phonak aids. Yes, I'm reading all the FAQs etc. The common problem is the app itself disconnects from the aids regularly whilst my phone's own Bluetooth connection stays put. A rigmarole of going through things like powering the aids off & on etc. You need the app to manage the customise programs for different environment settings. Having created one I correctly saved it, that disappeared after being powered off after an ovenight charge.

I use with Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. I have one major issue, particularly in summer when I have fans on. If I have an app open, I get very loud static that overrides everything. I have had the app professionally adjusted with my audiologist getting a "fix" from tech support, plus she did an adjustment saved under a different name. This was on my S21, but it didn't work in any case. THIS IS HIGHLY FRUSTRATING! I also agree with another that it would be nice to be able to select your own default

disconnects regularly from Bluetooth. stay connected is checked. Bluetooth options do not have streaming options. clicking the gear icon gets options "connect" and "unpair", but the buttons don't respond. i have to connect multiple times a day. phone is a new Galaxy s24+ android with current software. last phonak update: Oct 24. phonak support doesnt match app. do better. people spend a lot of money on aids. when buttons to connect to Bluetooth don't work or app doesn't respond it is not ok.

The newest app 7.1 installed on my phone. I was a bit shocked after opening and using it. I did not find it better than 7.0. I prefered be able to access everything much easier on the home page without jumping around to make changes. So I downloaded Version 7.0 on ApkPure and installed. Turn off Auto Update. Also as far as the TV connector goes I found a Digital to Audio device with cables and a BT transmitter for 2 devices (ie. hearing aids, ear buds) for about $45 on amazon that work great.

I like being able to adjust levels without going to the clinic. But this app is a HUGE battery hog. When I am using the app, battery goes dead in less than a day, when normally I get several days between charges. The app also constantly launches itself when I'm not even using my hearing aids. I close the app and within seconds it's back again. so frustrating!

My hearing aids are so temperamental! They hardly ever work! They've been in for repair and come back working for a week then quit again! Most of the time the right one tries to work but the app says the left one is only one working when it's not! Occasionally when I clean them they will work for 2-3 days! Extremely Frustrating!!!

Love its ease of use and accessibility, just two major things I'd like to see. I use mute feature a lot while streaming because of the subway, but anytime my video pauses or is paused, I have to manually re-toggle mute from the app and would like to see this fixed (I don't mind during pauses, but when I play again it to nice to not have to keep going back to the phonak app for mute). I would also like to see some home screen accessibility, like a shortcut to volume and mute. Thanks!

Update: Customer service reached out and offered suggestions on cleaning (which I normally do monthly, but failed to do this month) . This did seem to help! Now, I've noticed that I am no longer heard on my phone calls. I've repeatedly unpaired & re-paired my hearing aids to no avail. Since Samsung did a recent systems update, it's suggested that I uninstall and reinstall the MyPhonak app. Going to try that now...

Over the years, I wasted hours trying to get the app to connect to my hearing aids reliably. Firmware updates made a little difference. App updates made little difference. It won't connect at all under Android 16. August update: Two organizations within Phonak sent procedures different than the one behind the link in the reply, which I had already tried. None worked. I made an educated guess and used "Target" software to switch the primary BT to the newer aid. Now more reliable than before.

I spent big money for these (even after insurance - thinking I'll get a really great product. what a rip off. they're difficult to connect, they just make everything louder - none of the so called filtering or focusing stuff does anything, and frequently they lose connection and then you have to try to connect them back up. I've been trying for 40 minutes! giving up. I'll buy a better pair at Walmart! for a tenth of the cost!

Overall the app works. However, it always defaults to "Automatic". Automatic sounds awful to me and I must then change it back to my custom program. Please let me set which program I want to use as the default. Every hearing aid is customized so let me pick the custom program that I want and not your "Automatic" program. Let me know if this is something that you are considering.

Please fix!
