My BMW

Works once in a while, doesn't work most of the time. When it does work, it is incredibly and painfully slow and fails part of the time just to lock or unlock the vehicle. The Chevrolet app for my 2014 Chevy works all the time, and is quick (and remote starts my 2014 Chevy!). It is sad that the Chevrolet app runs circles around this BMW app! Update: the app completely quit working, says my GPS is not connected which is totally incorrect. I can't believe BMW can't even make a basic app that works

Disappointed. I keep having to re-login. Now I cannot at all. It gives me a error message. I do not have a Apple. I'm using an Android. It's obvious that BMW must be bias to Android according to the comments. I switched from a Cadillac to BMW. I NEVER had issues with my Cadillac app. It was easy to login, easy to use and it was an app that did not reroute to a browser unless you wanted it to. Very disappointing especially with a car not that's over $700.

Long Run for Short Slide! This app, while having access permissions to phone's Calendar, doesn't seem to access events so I have to enter, rather than having them available like old ConnectedDrive app. Also, have had mixed results with remote start. BAdditionally, I strongly prefer gallons remaining, rather than %. For those reasons, I have both apps on my phone

Can't log in. Says bad token. SOLUTION: I discovered the problem is that the app doesn't work with the Chrome browser. Go to settings on the phone and switch the default browser to anything besides Chrome (Samsung, Firefox, etc) and it works fine. You can then switch back to Chrome and get in to the app with the passcode. Why BMW, who I'm sure knows this, doesn't put this in the app description to save us all the hassle I have no idea.

Absolutely useless. Can't login. The old app worked just fine. I PAY for this service. Can't use it. I hope a class action suit is started soon. They want you to work around their buggy app by switching your default web browser for the entire phone. What a joke. If you're lucky enough to get logged in, you still can't send any commands to your car; they all fail.

A lot more unresponsive than other cars. It's slow and unreliable to update vehicle information. I can send commands to lock and unlock the car, so the issue is not being able to connect the vehicle Sim to a network. BMW just has a very poor integration. They really need to pick up their game or they will be left behind in technology. This is an issue with 2 cars already.

I do not appreciate you arbitrarily logging me out and arbitrarily forcing me to change my password, pins and setup biometrics login just because you have some cargo cult "policy". Your login process rarely works: "We are sorry, but a technical error occurred.". You don't say. Oh, and when occasionally login works - UX/UI is atrocious. It's very busy, things are hard to find, frequently used functions do not stand out in the see of stuff that doesn't matter.

The app works very well with some exceptions. First, there is a learning curve because some of the information you want to access is behind unexplained icons so until you figure out the icon legend, you are left searching. Second, the vehicle finder is terrible. It routinely shows the car parked in my driveway as being 4 miles away. I emailed Connected Drive help and recieved the same automated response every time which was pretty unhelpful. If those issue won't bother you then it's a good app

I was recently notified about a new software update for my 2021 model year BMW. For some reason the App indicates that it is not connecting to WI-FI or the mobile network thus it cannot download the software. I have rebooted, logged on and off, deleted and reinstalled the app 3 times and still doesn't work. All permissions are on and active, other App's functions works, but it doesn't connect to WI-FI or the mobile network. Can someone help? Thank you!

Just terrible. App does not work at all on Note 10. Ridiculous that this was not beta tested. I paid a lot extra for remote start and it is unusable. BMW, for a high end brand, you sure do disappoint. Update: I can sign on using a different browser, but none of the remote services actually connect/work. And the app shows my vehicle located a few miles from where it actually is. I can't find a fix for either of those issues. Grrrr....

My BMW app is useful and convenient, but it definitely could use some improvements. I wish the app would send me notifications when my gas is low. It should also suggest gas station options nearby. This app should send a real-time notification when doors are unlocked and windows down. Lastly, I'd like to see the BMW app have options to add packages to existing vehicles if applicable.

Like others here, I too have Android and prefer Chrome. And like the others, this application in its current version, does not allow you to log in and out using Chrome. Switched the browser over to the Samsung stock one and it logged on without issue. Very frustrating when you are trying to download the software update for a 130K X5M Comp. In addition, the old issue of the in car software (application) version not updating in conjunction with the phone application is very frustrating.

It's been 2 months since the purchase of my new BMW i4. More than 50% of time the app's remote functions never work or too slow to work. Over the last week or so, it completely stopped working. Perfect time to stop working as I can no longer remotely control climate setting in winter or manage charging remotely. So far very very unpleasant experience. BMW customer service is very hard to get hold of and do very little to help. So disappointed as I used to think BMW was a good brand.

Gets the basic job done. But paying $120/year for the service I'd like more than absolute minimum. You can't send and commands when the car is turned on. No real time map updates when car is in motion. You only can see the updated location when the car is turned off. Not really sure if the car is even in motion except by getting errors about sending commands to the car. Sending the commands are terribly slow. Can take about a minute or longer to get generic preconditioning going.

I am really really sick of playing "guess my password" with this app. Once I have signed up and enabled biometric login, you should not be bothering me for my password, much less constantly asking me to change it. The password security requirements have become downright absurd. Having an app for one's car is a really great idea but please, please ease up on the damn password requirements! It's a car after all, not a Department of Defense missile silo.

This app is almost worthless. It's good for seeing where my car is when a family member is driving it. It's good for setting pre-ventilation before driving on hot days. It's also sorta good for logging into financial services to schedule a payment, even though the interface is clumsy. It is not good for scheduling maintenance/service for active recalls, even though it is extremely good at annoying you with recall notification messages that offer options to schedule service.

unfortunately it's back to one star.. for awhile now since the app updated all it says is no internet connection. whether I'm connected to the internet or using my phones internet, it simply won't communicate with my 530e iperformance now. so no way to see charging stats, plan charging, or use any part of the app other than open it. it also never saves any kind of charging schedule.. I can set a whole week, send it to the car for auto departure, close the app or unplug and plug in and it erases

missing a lot of features that are available on other similar vehicles. And now it doesn't even do most of that. It just tells me it can't connect to the internet even though I'm clearly connected. I'm writing this aren't I. it won't let me map or plan a trip. setting climate controls remotely is pretty much useless. having to set the time of charge when at home vs at a charger is annoying. It's just really lackluster and doesn't do much. It never detects charging stations that I'm sitting at

I wish I could track my car real time, even when it's moving. huge delay on the Vehicle Finder, and it won't refresh its location even after I open the app. app not working. it keeps saying "no internet connection, please try again" whenever I try to click anything. I can't lock it remotely, I can't see the car's current location, no nothing. App is currently useless at this point.

function of the app as it interacts with the car, totally fine. id love to give it a full five stars...but i cant. i still get marketing and promotional notifications from the app even though ive turned them off. i dont want to totally disable notifications as theyre occasionally useful (service, motion detected, etc.), but i wish i could actually fully deactivate the non-functional notifications...yall already got $60 grand from me.
