I've been using Harbor Freight way back when it was just mail order only. Even then it was the perfect store for a diy'er like me. No, some of their tools may not always be the most durable but for the price and their return policy it's kinda of hard to beat, plus I find they're always trying to improve.
I hate being prompted to accept or reject cookies, especially when the notice takes up the whole screen. Yes, my font is set to just above medium, but still... You need to have a setting of Novice, Semi-Expert, or Expert. Semi-Experts and Experts know inherently that cookies are pretty much essential, especially if the user doesn't want to enter in the same information over and over again.
Favorite/heart feature doesn't work. It says it's a connectivity issue in the error pop-up. I've checked updates, restarted my phone, and reinstalled the app after clearing it from my phone(including clearing storage to make sure it's a hard reset). Speeds are all good, no packet loss or ping spikes. I've also noticed the app keeps signing me out from time to time. It's functional to pull up coupons and check what they have.
surprisingly good little app. it does want a lot of the other shopping apps seem to struggle with and it's just making it easy to save items on my shopping list. super easy here! app lets you review all the current Flyers sales and promotional offers and then just click on ❤️ for items you like. And then pull up your list all together in one place!
Apparently, the app has a list limit of 110 items that can be stored, after that, it says there are "Connectivity problems..." which is totally useless and misleading information. If you want to limit shopper's possible purchases to 110 items, then it's your loss they don't buy more because the list didn't have a reminder of something they wanted to buy when they could.
The Harbor Freight app is like their tools, it works as it should and that's more than many. I've been a customer for many years at locations around the country and lots of purchases. I have zero complaints and have experienced excellent service. We recently acquired our own store in Choctaw, OK and the convenience is outstanding. Plus, the store is another significant feature of a growing, vibrant community. Thanks as always Harbor Freight.
Handy but needs work. this is a useful app, I mostly use it for keeping all my coupons in one place when I make the trip to the city to pick something up on a good sale, that being said it needs work. the user interface is clunky, it's not well integrated with their website, isn't totally reliable as far as inventory updates, and overall just needs some serious polishing and updates to catch up with other apps. I find myself continuing to use the website over the app to look up products and shop
could use a little bit of refining and streamlining, but does what it needs to. annoying that it doesn't keep you signed in, and that even when signed in, it wants you to put in an email for coupons from time to time. Edit: since posting this review the app has been tidied up, and some of the rough edges have been polished out, but it still doesn't keep me signed in to my account in the app, and I have to log in each time I want to save things to my account.
Overall this app is good. It's easy to navigate and search, the favorites are nice, and it makes it very clear what store items are on (honestly better than any store app I've used). The only thing preventing 5 stars is having to log in every time. It's 2025, why can't I biometric log in, or save my username and password? Since I can stay logged in on the website, it almost makes the app pointless.
the Harbor Freight app works well , without glitches and the notifications that I get are not ridiculous in number and are worth a look because they are always offering different selections of items at a substantial discount, when I have my eye on some of the more expensive items , I will be sure to watch the sale notifications because I know that they will come up on one of their rotating sale offers and the savings are enough for me to wait for
Update: Solution to having to start all over after clicking on an item. Now you are able to go back to the previous page/item after clicking away AND you can review previously viewed items conveniently displayed in a dedicated line! Like the ability to "favorite" an item in the app and refer back to it when I'm shopping in store or online. HFT listens to suggestions for improvements to their app, just like their tool lines, which is why they continue to be my go to for value and quality!
I love this app! I use it almost every day to see new deals, add things to my wishlist, and remove things I've already purchased. The previous issue with being constantly logged out is GONE, and I haven't had to login in a few days. Great app! Harbor Freight is THE PLACE to go for quality, low price tools, as well as reasonably priced high quality tools , like ICON. Thank you!
Have to constantly re-enter login details, even just while browsing through the app it will forget that I was logged in and require the log in process over and over many times through it's use. This wouldn't matter much if I didn't need to use the saved items list since I have to travel to the closest store, or have things picked up when the wife goes to town. Very annoying bug.
I often search for an item like "tool bags" and am usually presented with a couple of options. I'll click on one to read the description, and then I'll tap the back arrow at the top left of the page. Unfortunately, it doesn't take me back to my search results. It takes me back to the home page, and I have to type in the search again. Very annoying. Also more pictures of the products would be nice. seeing the inside of tool bags would be useful or a photo with dimensions.
The app is a great way to access coupons & present them at the store. Tapping ♥︎ on products & coupons (to save items to "my list") makes them easy to find later. Being able to see if a product is in stock at my favorite location & what aisle it can be found on saves me a lot of time. There are minor improvements still to be made to the app, but several such improvements have been made in the last year or two that I've been using it, so it's really 4.5 ★'s for me.
I love this app. it tells you what's in your local store and if it's in stock or not. It also allows you to sign up for the membership in app and has a wishlist option. the only thing I wish it had was a list option and if it already does I wish it was more accessible. but other than that it's great and convenient. The little inconvenience isn't worth star deductions to me.
Advertising lower prices in your app than you are charging for the items in store. The app says, in stock at my store and gives a price of $199 and then I arrive in the store and the price is $239 and staff says, yeah, Harbor Freight just started doing that and a lot of customers are angry. Your advertised price is DECEPTIVE and disgraceful. I hope you get class action sued!!
Use something else is you want to shop with Harbor Frieght. This app is slow to load, and when it finally does, it asks you to rate it positively, EVERY SINGLE TIME! My answer is not going to change unless you improve, which you obviously don't want to do. Can't order on the app and list management is terrible. 3rd party coupon apps offer better savings and user experience. I am going to start shopping at Northern Tool from now on, anyway. *UPDATE* app still as terrible as before.
Great place to save a ton of money on some pretty good tools. Definitely the place to get cheap bits, blades, security bits, shop lights, hell justin abouts anything ya want. Pay $30 for the Inside Track Club membership. If you ask in person in the store you can get a 2 year membership for $45. I can usually find something to buy through it and save my money's worth on the membership the day I renew it each year. I think it's well worth it anyway.
I really like the app and that I'm able to search for and save products I want to purchase. The biggest issue I have with this app is that it constantly logs me out, after a few weeks of not using the app I find that I have been logged out and have to look up my login info to log back into the app. You would think that the app would keep you logged in since it's on your phone.

Plus, the store is another significant feature of a growing, vibrant community. Thanks as always Harbor Freight.
the Harbor Freight app works well , without glitches and the notifications that I get are not ridiculous in number and are worth a look because they are always offering different selections of items at a substantial discount, when I have my eye on some of the more expensive items , I will be sure to watch the sale notifications because I know that they will come up on one of their rotating sale offers and the savings are enough for me to wait for
I've been using Harbor Freight way back when it was just mail order only. Even then it was the perfect store for a diy'er like me. No, some of their tools may not always be the most durable but for the price and their return policy it's kinda of hard to beat, plus I find they're always trying to improve.
Thank you!
Apparently, the app has a list limit of 110 items that can be stored, after that, it says there are "Connectivity problems..." which is totally useless and misleading information. If you want to limit shopper's possible purchases to 110 items, then it's your loss they don't buy more because the list didn't have a reminder of something they wanted to buy when they could.
could use a little bit of refining and streamlining, but does what it needs to. annoying that it doesn't keep you signed in, and that even when signed in, it wants you to put in an email for coupons from time to time.
*UPDATE* app still as terrible as before.

surprisingly good little app. it does want a lot of the other shopping apps seem to struggle with and it's just making it easy to save items on my shopping list. super easy here! app lets you review all the current Flyers sales and promotional offers and then just click on ❤️ for items you like. And then pull up your list all together in one place!
