The new version or updates to the Food Lion app are ABSOLUTELY TRASH! 1. I can no longer see the shopping progress in real time. 2. I can't choose specific substitutions. My only options are substitute or do not substitute. 3. The chat is useless. I ask for different items and it's not honored. Ex: Shopper doesn't get yukon gold potatoes because "they're out of stock". I ask in the chat for ANY potatoes in a 3 to 5lb bag. No response and no potatoes! And the list goes on.

hate it wish they would have left it alone loved the Food lion to go app it was easy to find what I'm looking for took me over and hour of stress trying to find everything I was looking for. now you have to search through every single item it doesn't show other items similar for example if your buying a two liter but you want other flavors from the same brand you have to go to each flavor and hope you ca. find it

Poor design, can't communicate with shopper, messages are ignored. Can't add substitutes, can't see where in the shopping process they are, can't add things after the order is submitted. Update 7/4/25 Hsrd to communicate with shopper as you don't know where they are at in the shopping process. This means you don't know about substitutions until they're done.

what happened to being able to complain about missing or damage items go away.... says we gotta call a number but we are using an app to shop for convenience and alot to not have human contact. It won't even let me rate my order. I don't wanna spend an hour on hold when I'm using an app to order groceries because I don't always have time to just wait for someone to answer the line. probably my last order through their app, I'll go back to Walmart.

Awful after the update! Have been shopping online for years with no issues. Now the store doesn't receive my orders (even though I receive an email confirmation). Tried to place an order today and they stated that my online ordering has been turned off. Too much of a hassle, will just shop elsewhere. Stop penalizing the customer when your app updates are trash!

I used to love using this app to compare prices to coupons. To do so, I have to look at the coupons, then click the items matching the coupon. The past few weeks it's been crashing and then claiming "bot activity". I've sent multiple bug reports with information and today my device was locked out of my app account. I have no idea how I'm supposed to use the app with the constant crashes, glitches, and bugs.

I like being able to do my orders through the app now. I do have a complaint in how to now choose substitution items. It used to be 4 or 5 products would pop up as possible substitution items but there was also an option to search for something else. The search option is now gone and my notes also now go ignored. I'm having to choose "no substitution " for everything just because my options have become limited.

Since the app was changed, you are unable to watch as your items are shopped. making changes once an order is submitted can not be done. they have taken the ability to contact the store when you arrive for pickup via the app. Also, when you arrive, you can not track the progress of bringing the order out.

The most recent upgrade is horrible! cannot chat with shopper. click on the chat with the shopper, and it produces no way to chat. cannot see progress on what shopper is shopping or substituting. cannot approve substitutions unless you are constantly checking email. Liked text messages from before this upgrade. please put it back the way it was! A couple of things have been revised, but I will not be happy until it's revised back to the previous version. this version still stinks!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Can't even use the "contact us" button without being sent to an infinite loop of "you have been logged in on another device" errors. Groceries are often wrong, communication is poor, and the team at our local food lion is obviously as frustrated with the app and website as we are. There is no way to leave feedback because of the bugged website. The experience with this app has grown worse and worse over time. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

It's good for creating your shopping list before physically going in the store, and it's also good for keeping track of your earn and pay rewards... but never ever use this app to place an order. especially if you are using ebt. the moment you put in your pin, it will deduct your money. this is before you have even finished placing the order!!! so if you change your mind or if you need to go back and add something that you forgot you have to wait hours to days to get your footstamps back.

Ever since they switched apps, I have had nothing but difficulty out of this new app. My order never updates on time, half the time it doesn't show up after I've made it. Notifications from the app are delayed and if I need a substitution, the app doesn't notify me of a message from the shopper until the order has been completed. The app also crashes every time I'm working on an order. Would love to see it fixed as I like everything being in one app now.

kicked me off the app, wouldn't accept my password, then continued to take me in a loop. Email to verify this, verify that, send out code I did it all. and the dumb app still would not work. would pull up a barcode for my membership. I have had the app over a year now. had problems when I joined and now again. I will drive 10 mins further away not to be aggravated with a app.

Pages are cluttered, the products every one, has to be enlarged, obvious first choices are not shown first, for instance if I search for lemons it’s way the hell down the list of lemonade and other items. It’s just a mess, even finding the cart and seeing a simple list has been made into cluttered page. What was wrong with the old one? You certainly didn’t improve the shopping experience, simplify please. It’s just junky.

Waited 30 minutes for my order. the amount of time saved using the app is lost when trying to navigate to the shopper chat. Can't be logged in online if you want to use the app. When I place an online order, and there's a message from my shopper, I tap the notification and it takes me to the Food lion home page, with no way to navigate to the chat. Have to go back to the notification several times before it takes me to the chat, if ever. I'm constantly having to log back in.

The app sucks! It is nothing like it was before. Before I got notifications of subtitutes or refunds, able to see how many items the shopper has picked up so far, get notifications if order is ready early if at all. Now it can't do any of that! I have allowed all permissions through the app and my phone; uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, didn't help at all! I can't even see my order after purchase anymore until after I've picked up the order and order is complete. It's horrible.

This app sucks, sooo many bugs. today I'm trying to order groceries by using the view all Past Purchases. and since there are lots of items, you have to do Show More instead of having page numbers. I get through about 3 Show More Buttons. then the app goes crazy & scrolls me all the way to the top. I liked the old white labeled Instacart app that Food Lion was using.

I've been having constant issues after they added the app verification. It never loads because and my access to the app is now blocked because of "rapid clicks". The rapid clicks were me clicking on coupons for their details and then pressing the back arrow to go back to the save page. I was getting the app verification every minute or so, which was absolutely unavoidable since that is how you navigate the coupons in the save page.

The app crashes at least once during every use. When there are substitutions it doesn't allow you to view them via the link so when you receive the items you have to wait a day to check if you are actually missing items or they were unavailable There is no option to choose a spot during pickup. I used to use food Lion for groceries 2x a week now I switched to Walmart because it is such a pain.

You are a small grocery store app with coupons and sales ads. OK, and shopping, whichI never use. Stop making me verify myself as a human whenever I scroll through coupons. There is no threat from my end, other than I can scroll through quickly. It required me to 3x and I "passed" as a human all 3 times, and now I'm blocked for no reason. Usually, it only asks once, which still screws up everything on the app and I'm forced to exit what I'm in the middle of doing. Enough already, it's coupons!!!

hate it wish they would have left it alone loved the Food lion to go app it was easy to find what I'm looking for took me over and hour of stress trying to find everything I was looking for. now you have to search through every single item it doesn't show other items similar for example if your buying a two liter but you want other flavors from the same brand you have to go to each flavor and hope you ca. find it

Since the app was changed, you are unable to watch as your items are shopped. making changes once an order is submitted can not be done. they have taken the ability to contact the store when you arrive for pickup via the app. Also, when you arrive, you can not track the progress of bringing the order out.

The most recent upgrade is horrible! cannot chat with shopper. click on the chat with the shopper, and it produces no way to chat. cannot see progress on what shopper is shopping or substituting. cannot approve substitutions unless you are constantly checking email. Liked text messages from before this upgrade. please put it back the way it was! A couple of things have been revised, but I will not be happy until it's revised back to the previous version. this version still stinks!

kicked me off the app, wouldn't accept my password, then continued to take me in a loop. Email to verify this, verify that, send out code I did it all. and the dumb app still would not work. would pull up a barcode for my membership. I have had the app over a year now. had problems when I joined and now again. I will drive 10 mins further away not to be aggravated with a app.

The new shopping online is horrible in every way it could possibly be. Pages are cluttered, the products every one, has to be enlarged, obvious first choices are not shown first, for instance if I search for lemons it’s way the hell down the list of lemonade and other items. It’s just a mess, even finding the cart and seeing a simple list has been made into cluttered page. What was wrong with the old one? You certainly didn’t improve the shopping experience, simplify please. It’s just junky.

Waited 30 minutes for my order. the amount of time saved using the app is lost when trying to navigate to the shopper chat. Can't be logged in online if you want to use the app. When I place an online order, and there's a message from my shopper, I tap the notification and it takes me to the Food lion home page, with no way to navigate to the chat. Have to go back to the notification several times before it takes me to the chat, if ever. I'm constantly having to log back in.

The app sucks! It is nothing like it was before. Before I got notifications of subtitutes or refunds, able to see how many items the shopper has picked up so far, get notifications if order is ready early if at all. Now it can't do any of that! I have allowed all permissions through the app and my phone; uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, didn't help at all! I can't even see my order after purchase anymore until after I've picked up the order and order is complete. It's horrible.

This app sucks, sooo many bugs. today I'm trying to order groceries by using the view all Past Purchases. and since there are lots of items, you have to do Show More instead of having page numbers. I get through about 3 Show More Buttons. then the app goes crazy & scrolls me all the way to the top. I liked the old white labeled Instacart app that Food Lion was using.

I've been having constant issues after they added the app verification. It never loads because and my access to the app is now blocked because of "rapid clicks". The rapid clicks were me clicking on coupons for their details and then pressing the back arrow to go back to the save page. I was getting the app verification every minute or so, which was absolutely unavoidable since that is how you navigate the coupons in the save page.

The app crashes at least once during every use. When there are substitutions it doesn't allow you to view them via the link so when you receive the items you have to wait a day to check if you are actually missing items or they were unavailable There is no option to choose a spot during pickup. I used to use food Lion for groceries 2x a week now I switched to Walmart because it is such a pain.

You are a small grocery store app with coupons and sales ads. OK, and shopping, whichI never use. Stop making me verify myself as a human whenever I scroll through coupons. There is no threat from my end, other than I can scroll through quickly. It required me to 3x and I "passed" as a human all 3 times, and now I'm blocked for no reason. Usually, it only asks once, which still screws up everything on the app and I'm forced to exit what I'm in the middle of doing. Enough already, it's coupons!!!

hate it wish they would have left it alone loved the Food lion to go app it was easy to find what I'm looking for took me over and hour of stress trying to find everything I was looking for. now you have to search through every single item it doesn't show other items similar for example if your buying a two liter but you want other flavors from the same brand you have to go to each flavor and hope you ca. find it

I like being able to do my orders through the app now. I do have a complaint in how to now choose substitution items. It used to be 4 or 5 products would pop up as possible substitution items but there was also an option to search for something else. The search option is now gone and my notes also now go ignored. I'm having to choose "no substitution " for everything just because my options have become limited.

Ever since they switched apps, I have had nothing but difficulty out of this new app. My order never updates on time, half the time it doesn't show up after I've made it. Notifications from the app are delayed and if I need a substitution, the app doesn't notify me of a message from the shopper until the order has been completed. The app also crashes every time I'm working on an order. Would love to see it fixed as I like everything being in one app now.

Poor design, can't communicate with shopper, messages are ignored. Can't add substitutes, can't see where in the shopping process they are, can't add things after the order is submitted. Update 7/4/25 Hsrd to communicate with shopper as you don't know where they are at in the shopping process. This means you don't know about substitutions until they're done.

what happened to being able to complain about missing or damage items go away.... says we gotta call a number but we are using an app to shop for convenience and alot to not have human contact. It won't even let me rate my order. I don't wanna spend an hour on hold when I'm using an app to order groceries because I don't always have time to just wait for someone to answer the line. probably my last order through their app, I'll go back to Walmart.

Awful after the update! Have been shopping online for years with no issues. Now the store doesn't receive my orders (even though I receive an email confirmation). Tried to place an order today and they stated that my online ordering has been turned off. Too much of a hassle, will just shop elsewhere. Stop penalizing the customer when your app updates are trash!

I used to love using this app to compare prices to coupons. To do so, I have to look at the coupons, then click the items matching the coupon. The past few weeks it's been crashing and then claiming "bot activity". I've sent multiple bug reports with information and today my device was locked out of my app account. I have no idea how I'm supposed to use the app with the constant crashes, glitches, and bugs.

Since the app was changed, you are unable to watch as your items are shopped. making changes once an order is submitted can not be done. they have taken the ability to contact the store when you arrive for pickup via the app. Also, when you arrive, you can not track the progress of bringing the order out.

The most recent upgrade is horrible! cannot chat with shopper. click on the chat with the shopper, and it produces no way to chat. cannot see progress on what shopper is shopping or substituting. cannot approve substitutions unless you are constantly checking email. Liked text messages from before this upgrade. please put it back the way it was! A couple of things have been revised, but I will not be happy until it's revised back to the previous version. this version still stinks!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Can't even use the "contact us" button without being sent to an infinite loop of "you have been logged in on another device" errors. Groceries are often wrong, communication is poor, and the team at our local food lion is obviously as frustrated with the app and website as we are. There is no way to leave feedback because of the bugged website. The experience with this app has grown worse and worse over time. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The new version or updates to the Food Lion app are ABSOLUTELY TRASH! 1. I can no longer see the shopping progress in real time. 2. I can't choose specific substitutions. My only options are substitute or do not substitute. 3. The chat is useless. I ask for different items and it's not honored. Ex: Shopper doesn't get yukon gold potatoes because "they're out of stock". I ask in the chat for ANY potatoes in a 3 to 5lb bag. No response and no potatoes! And the list goes on.

It's good for creating your shopping list before physically going in the store, and it's also good for keeping track of your earn and pay rewards... but never ever use this app to place an order. especially if you are using ebt. the moment you put in your pin, it will deduct your money. this is before you have even finished placing the order!!! so if you change your mind or if you need to go back and add something that you forgot you have to wait hours to days to get your footstamps back.
