Game play is basically the same as other games of this type I've played. It is, however, somewhat addicting. I'm enjoying it for now, but suspect in the near future I'll get burnt out on it too I always feel like I'm playing "catch up", never enough "energy" to gather supplies needed to make the items required to complete tasks. There comes a point where it starts feeling more like actual work instead of fun. Don't know how anyone keeps up! Overall good game, recommend it.
I like the game, I do, but I'm feeling robbed right now. The island I'm on has cats that you invite to the concert, but it takes nets to do that. Fine, but its not counting all the cats (nor monkeys) that I've invited, so I cant continue with the missions, and I'm just out those tools, plus some tools I used to open up special areas just to get to more cats. I dont want to acquire more tools and use them up just to see if it fixes itself, and the island time is ticking. Massive energy gone too.
The game itself is pretty cool and you can easily find yourself hooked. My issue is the amount of energy. The game only gives you 84. Anything other than that has to be awarded from food, or challenges but it's never enough. The only option is spending $10+ on energy offers that will again deplete really quickly. This adds up and can become costly. Because of this I now find myself playing this game less and less.
I love this game but alot of problems with it I contacted support which was no help at all, like others I've gotten stuck on the season pass page I even tried to buy it and it wouldn't let me it pop up message saying I wasn't charged and the game has Lags and you don't alway get your rewards and the people that control the game don't reimburse you. I love the game but definitely needs some work done. I'm reloading to see if it's better but if not I'll be deleting it again, not worth the hassle.
A fun game for taking a break for a few minutes. Progressing through the levels and unlocking new parts of the island provides a challenge. Downsides: Far too many popups and other things that interfere with the game experience. I don't want to be forced to click into the pirate tournaments and regattas over and over, X out a dozen offers to buy energy, and close out menu after menu every time I open the game. Time-limited islands are impossible to finish before they expire.
it's a good game... love the story line and graphics and would be 5 stars but I'm very annoyed with the constant bombardment of pop-ups trying to get me to pay money on things. 1 or 2 I can deal with but having to close out 100 (slightly exaggerating) is getting me aggravated and overly stressed. If you don't lessen this soon, I will delete the game, but will change my rating to 1 star first!!! If you change it, I will gladly give you 5!!! 🤬
I love the game, but it is frustrating when things don't replenish. The lemons were used a week ago or more and haven't regenerated yet. Also, there are few things to use the tools on. Once they are gone they take about a day to regenerate. I had three chests one day and the tools had to wait a day later to use them all. You need more spots to use them.
I've had this game for a long time and it use to be fun. Now, it just seems like you keep making the same things over and over because it doesn't tally what you do make. Very frustrating. Not sure if the developer does that to make you spend money. I've already deleted Family Island (another one of the developers app) because it's even worse for that game. I'll give this a few more days otherwise this too will be deleted.
It was a fun game. Spent money for a "golden ticket". When the challenge ended, none of the prize that were uncollected were paid out. I've never had a game were a challenges ends and you can't collect rewards or rewards aren't provided in a bundle. I even reached out to the team for support on the issue with no response. In addition, ads are annoying and you lose "energy" like crazy. Fun, but not worth the time. Please don't spend any real money!
I too am having issues. I got to level 25 no problems but now I need almost 10 million points to reach level 26. I'm running out of resources and have no way to advance. The amount of energy you use compared to what you gain is a joke. And to it the fact you have 5 animals, only get 2 buckets of water an hour, and need it to make feed, it sucks!! It's a fun, time sucking game but it definitely needs major improvements. It's like the developers stopped making the game part way through.
I love the idea of this game. But I lost interest quickly because every activity costs a lot of energy and it takes a long time to gain energy back ( other than watching ads or paying lots of money).. Also I don't understand how this game is 4.5 when most of the reviews are less than 3 and they all say the same thing I am saying. And all the response is "yes u can play it for free" but are you even listen to what we are saying?? It's not fun playing that way!!!
Great Start, Grows Increasingly Terrible. As you get further into the game, you actually play increasing less. The game requires items that eat all of your energy to collect, and then while you wait for your energy to refill, you're simultaneously waiting for things to build. So you play for 5 minutes, then wait 3-4 hours to play for another 5 minutes. The game really had a decent start, but it's not a game one plays for years.
Setup for nice game. At first ratio to give an get is nice then stops lvl 7 on up. Then with challenges, tasks, extra task, side task, islands, etc not enough energy can you keep up with all that is bombarded at you. You could buy in, use the energy you bought, and then what? You still can't keep up. The amount you spend vs what you get exceed the price of gold. The price to offer needs a complete overhaul to be reasonable not gouging.
This is a fun game, but you just don't get enough energy to play for more than a few minutes. In the last few days, the option to watch videos for extra energy and gems just disappeared and that means I never get enough energy to do certain tasks (like harvest those darn clams- such a high energy cost!) I'm hoping that's just a glitch that will be fixed but if not, I'll probably delete the game.
Interrupted ads! To update to my review. I will not spend money on this game. You don't give a reason for continued game play. I don't mind the energy, but there could at least be something in the game that gives 25 energy every 10 minutes. Onions should be in Every onion bush...this is total wasted energy and it's not fair! I really like this game and the graphics it's a little better than Polynesian Adventures! Another thing be great if the storage didn't need upgrades.
I agree with the posters below. I would love this game if it weren't for the constant pop ups asking for funds. Won't pay for this game. I would also love to earn more, your items needed are toooo!!! high. I'm sure you can see just how long it takes to obtain the required amount for items to purchase needed items to continue. Although I do like the fact I can walk away from the game and continue sometime later. Would also like removed would be the "Find Rabbit/Frog/Gater stuff.
The game says we can make wood x5 but it doesn't. it makes one. The energy needed for doing tasks is way too much considering we dont have a whole lot to start with. That being said, the limited time island adventures aren't around long enough to do much with the tiny bit of energy we get. fix these things and I'll rate it a 5 star. I do love the game and hope it gets better.
Super fun and addictive but you will waste alot of money! It takes so much energy and resources for everything that you basically have to spend money. Also terrible customer service. A glitch on the game cost me to lose money and I can't even get a response from them. Save your self the hassle and skip this one unless you want to shell out tons of money
Downloaded the game through a rewards app and they are refusing to give me my reward. It IT'S a copy of Family Island, but much more difficult to make progress as it takes too much energy. You have to either spend money or watch multiple ads throughout the day. Too many side quests/special events on at the same time. It is clearly designed for their income and not your enjoyment. I would not have played more than 5 minutes if it wasn't for the promised reward. One + it didn't crash too often.
Playing this for a Mypoints offer. This is not a fun experience, but a challenging and boring one. The advertisements asking me to buy or rate the game is annoying. Your energy meter drains quickly. The only aspect I liked was the graphics. The characters and story isn't appealing. For Mypoints and Swagbucks users, I recommend selling excess crops to help you level, growing corn take the least amount of time and can help you reach level 25.
Might be fun if one didn't need to make so many items to progress. Fix the bridge? Make these! Then make more! Then make EVEN MORE! And to make those items one needs to make other items first. Screw that. Cannot complete special events because it needs so many items made. I am not accomplishing anything in this game because all I do is produce items to make more items. Not enough energy in the game to go anywhere because its used to harvest items to make more items! Uninstalled.
Will steal your money. I have messaged them at least 5 times with no avail. I paid for a gold pass for a side mission and they didn't unlock the pass. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it's still hasn't worked. I have asked to be refunded and it keeps showing that they've read the messages, but closed them out without replying. Don't waste your money, folks!
The game is fun but lacks continuity unless you're willing to spend money. There are ads that give energy for play but the items that you buy with the energy use it up within 1 or 2 plays; so your options are to buy energy, watch ads, or my(favorite)choi ce: play a different game. Basically the game is a rip off! I'm deleting the game because they make it very difficult to play without spending quite a bit of money.
I've been playing this game for months (& spending money on it!) Any time there have been issues, I've reached out to their support team & they were resolved within a day. But this time has been ridiculous. It has been 4 days already & there has been no resolution. Just someone (Anastasiya) repeatedly asking me for an explanation of the issue (which I provided on day 1). VERY frustrating considering the time and money I've spent on this game. Deleting after I post this review.
Can't even play the game anymore! Constantly crashing! Would remove last star if I could Still crashing after update! Can't even stand playing the game now between crashes! Took away a star till fixed Update is needed, game keeps crashing. Also bring back the videos for free stuff, shouldn't be penalized for buying something. Items are too high priced.
