The updates in July broke the connections and persistent notification for me. Luckily, I just found an older version (for Microsoft Intune) that still works correctly. The app seems to randomly disconnect and I have to open it again. Also, before the notification was always there when logged in to show me that it was connected. Since the July update, the notification is no longer there, except in the older version.

This app is completely unreliable. It does not stay connected to the server. When a call comes in, it can be answered but a second call from the caller comes in immediately following the first so the phone doesn't stop ringing to allow you to properly answer the first call. Audio quality seems to be terrible both ways as well. Our company has made a mistake in purchasing this product for remote on-call service and our customers are very dissatisfied.

This app is truly horrible. It often requires a logout and reset in order to make calls, get access, etc. Sounds quality is inconsistent even though I have high speed data and high speed wifi. It produces errors when trying to call like "invalid address format error.". If I were considering buying Cisco, this app alone would be the deal killer. Also used it on iOS, which is even worse if that's possible.

Some users are experiencing app crashing after the most recent update. Reinstall did not fix the issue, and is not effecting all devices in our organization. A problem report is not able to be obtained because the app will crash upon launch. Only older models seem to be effected from what we can tell. One example is the Galaxy S7, and even some Galaxy tablets at this time as well. Issues all started on 6/11/21.

Undoubtedly the worst app I have ever used. The cell phone versions (both Android and iPhone) only support one line, so if you have multiple phones in your office, you'll have to pick which one you actually care about. The PC version supports 8 line forwarding...but is so unbelievably annoying to set up, it appears to have been intentionally designed to be user-unfriendly. I've literally been back and forth with my IT people for over 24 hours trying to get it to work. 1 star is too many.

The app is mostly sufficient, but there are sometimes delays in when calls come through, and times when I pick up through the app, but the caller does not hear me, or it goes to voicemail on their end. Update: this now does happen regularly. Sometimes calls do not connect and/or ring indefinitely, which is also odd.

Awful. Phone service constantly disconnects ("servers cannot be reached"), requiring a re-start of the entire phone. Happens at least once a day. Looking at comments/reviews here, I am not the only one and it's far from an isolated instance. Plus, despite sending problem logs to Cisco since July (2020), Cisco has not even once reached out to me with suggestions. Update 9/30/2020: I downloaded the new version (which is 12.9.2) and will report back if I see improvement.

I have experienced an issue with almost every aspect of this app. The phone continues ringing long after the caller has hung up, I miss calls while the phone is in my hand, the connection is often staticky, but the tipping point was just now when leaving a message, the keypad wouldn't work and I was unable to hangup. I hit the red x over and over, hit *, tried to logout. I had to uninstall the app to end what must be the longest, most awkward voicemail in my career. This app is horrible.

You'd think Cisco could produce a strong app, but my experience hasn't been good. Soooo many dropped calls, bad connections, etc. None of which was due to poor reception/wifi. Sometimes I can access voicemails, sometimes I can't. Sometimes the app marks me as Away, even when I just got off the phone with someone 2 minutes ago... do better, be better

This app is TERRIBLE. So dysfunctional. Not exaggerating, 9/10 times i try to use it, it doesnt work. Its never a simple logout/login or restart of app and/or phone, each time I have to go through a whole slew of actions that sometimes work and usually dont, theres no rhyme or reason to what works. I end up logging out/in, force stopping the app, restarting my phone, uninstall/reinstall, trying again, redo the process AGAIN.... today it was 45 min of repeating all this in different orders/combos

I have been using this app for almost 3 years and never had an issue until this most recent update. Now my app will not stay connected to the server for more than a couple minutes at a time. I have tried resetting it and deleting and re-downloading it and nothing helps. This really makes remote work difficult when this is your only option besides giving out your personal number.

Disconnects randomly for no apparent reason at the worst possible time. App requires you to exit and wait for "a while" to reconnect. The "a while" can be a minute or two or an hour or two, depending on Cisco's unreliable servers. The absolute worst one ... of every messaging app out there. After every update the app has only gotten worse. Terrible app that I only have installed because of work requirements. Downgraded to older version, turned off automatic updates. Connection Issue resolved.

This app is generally stable but sometimes it just locks up and takes forever to close. When switching between a local area network Wi-Fi connection and a wan connection either on the network or via a mobile cellular connection on the Internet, it takes forever to log out and back in. I don't like the fact that anytime you make a change You have to reset it and you lose all of your threading with your messaging.

It's ok when it works, but very glitchy. I have had several instances where the app is ringing but the screen doesn't recognize that a call is incoming so I can't answer. It will also cause the screen to black out sometimes when you're on a call so it's difficult to access other material that you need. The network search function is also pretty clunky - I've needed to transfer a call to a colleague and been unable to locate them by search based on their last name or extension.

Login is a bit confusing. I've had to reset the app after every call due to it freezing. Also, when I've completed a call there is no way to disconnect, I've had to rely on the party I've called to hang up for the call to disconnect, which again led to the app freezing. Some calls went automatically to speaker phone. These challenges are proving to be very frustrating as my employer has allowed some of the staff to work from home during these trying times, using a Samsung android phone.

Had a call drop. Mostly have problems when others can't hear me in the beginning or middle of a work phone call. Very frustrating. Only fix I found to this is to log out of the app, reconnect the wifi and log back in, multiple times a day. My wifi works great on all of my devices, including during these instances, even including on my device with the app. It's the application that's having the issues that I unfortunately cannot fix on my end. App works well for messages and status updates.

I really want and need this app to work for making calls, but whenever I am on my home network it stops connecting and working. After multiple communications from our IT specialist, I am able to use the app on cellular data only, not on Wi-Fi, so time will tell how much extra that may cost. When I'm connected, the app itself is easy to use and I like that I can check voicemail easily. Colleagues have had trouble with it working too.

A chat app that integrates with multiple workstations, allowing you to get work done anywhere - it sounds great if it worked correctly. Frequently, I'll get a notification on my phone that there's a new message- I open up the app, it's nowhere to be found. Where did it go? Sometimes it'll re-sync and within a few hours or a day the message will appear correctly, and sometimes not. Sometimes Jabber notifies you there's a new message (or multiple messages) on the notification screen but then when you open the app - the message never appears. This is a failure of the most basic functionality of any messaging app. Another annoyance is that Jabber will sometimes notify you of app updates in the middle of the night such as messages may expire soon. I understand my company has set an expiration policy for messages sent through Jabber (something I wish Jabber let you turn off, why would I ever want my messages to expire? but I understand that there are reasons a business may configure Jabber this way) however why does Jabber have to notify me at midnight of this? Then I wake up, think I have an important message from work - but nope, just Jabber deciding midnight is the best time for a random notification. The only way to stop this is to turn off all notification- but I don't want to turn off chat messages, only information messages from Jabber itself. Please fix, I'd love to enjoy using this app.

I love the app and how it allows me to work from anywhere in the building instead of lugging around my workstation. I think it would be nice to have a Haptic Touch option to allow you to change your status from the iOS home screen in the same way a right click on the taskbar allows you to do this in Windows. Integration with the shortcuts apps for status changes would be nice. I could set up an automation whenever I leave the office, change status to “off the clock” or something like that. Cool possibilities.

Not a fan of Cisco or most of the other services my organization has contracts with. Interface is limited and feels like like it's just an adaptation of decades-old tech instead of an innovation that makes things easier. My main compliant is that the shared line option is limited to the desktop app. Please take a note from more modern dialer programs like Dialpad, which do all of the things someone would expect from a modern service.

Inconvenient app. I work in recruiting and receive a lot of unexpected calls, which is fine, except you can only answer an incoming call if your phone screen is awake and already in the jabber app. If someone calls while your phone screen is off, there is 0 way to answer it. As a result, I always have to let it ring out and then call them right back while theyre leaving a voicemail. Giving it 2 stars because it does half of what it's supposed to do.

The app is working sed by my company to remote access our office lines. The app crashes regularly when downloaded on a desktop/laptop, making it unusable to monitor calls that come in while working on projects. On my mobile devise the app is slightly better, although it does disconnect regularly from either voicemail, messages or all together drops the service connection. The app does not keep phone on while reviewing messages so when my iPhone turns off the screen, voicemail also closes and you have to repeat the message (if it doesn’t loose it’s connection to company servers). Sadly, we have to use the app while remote working from home but it is a shame that Cisco can’t provide a major update to the app to resolve these issues. The last time it updated was months ago. Very disappointed.

I had to download this app for work and it’s full of bugs. First, I can’t receive a call unless I am using the app. It won’t receive a call if my phone is not in use or I’m using another app on my phone even when I’m logged into the app and have it running in the background. It will simply send all incoming calls to voicemail. Second, if I’m in a call I have to stay in that call and can’t leave to access outlook or another app during the call or else it will drop my call. There’s been so many issues and I’ve had to contact my work’s IT team several times to assist. There’s better phone apps on the market that I’ve used at my last job with none of these issues so I know it can be better.

Jabber on my laptop works fine. Jabber for my iPhone is completely unreliable. The only way chat messages will come to my phone is if the phone screen is actively on and Jabber is open. When the phone screen goes black after a few minutes (as it does to conserve battery), then it’s completely hit or miss. I can’t even figure out the rhyme or reason to which messages will and won’t come to my phone. I have it set to never log me off and automatic away is also turned off. I have notifications enabled in every way. Why can’t there be a setting where all messages populate to both my phone and my laptop so I can respond from whichever device I happen to be near? This problem renders this entire app useless for me.

Disconnects frequently when you dial out and phone starts ringing. You have to re-dial and cross fingers it goes through. Drops calls in the middle of conversations. Incoming calls seem to go straight to voice mail. Using for work and it was recommended by my company. ???When connection is good, it's nice, but doesn't last long.
