The workouts are ok but I can't find any way to meaningfully customize them. I got a free trial but if I can't create my own workouts I don't really have any use for this app. Apart from that the app is a bit confusing and pushy. It's trying to be a lot of different things but it doesn't feel like it does any of them well. It tells me what my meals should be but I can't figure out how to make any adjustments to that either.
Centr is a great workout/training app. It has at-home or in-the-gym programs that are at your own pace or instructor led and allowing you to use any equipment you have. What I like best is that the trainers are super awesome, not boring like other training apps. They make me want to push myself but not take it too seriously to stress out. Been using this app for the last 2+ years and have tried other apps including ones that use AI, but I keep coming back to this one as the best.
I bought a Centr Multi Gym from Costco which has no information about how to use the equipment. I figured the app would help, and hoping for 3 months free membership that was advertised with the product. To my surprise, this app provides no help with using the equipment, is NOT free, and only offers 3 "free" months with the purchase of an $80 plan... And none of this is divulged until after Centr has successfully harvested your personal information.
The program and workouts are great. The main issue is that the app is borderline unusable. I have a Galaxy Ultra and it kicks me out to log in almost every time I select a workout. Some mornings I can't even use it all together (about half). Don't buy it until this is fixed. Customer service's response was "Use our free YouTube channel". Edit: It's been fixed but still not great customer service.
The workouts are pretty good. A few minor complaints: 1. You can't log your weights/ reps during a rest period, which feels weird because the timer keeps going on that exercise while I log weights. Please make it so I can log the previous exercise/ set during the rest period. 2. I can't type in my weights. I have to scroll forever on my teeny screen for a while to select the right number. 3. The self-guided workouts don't talk to you. There's a separate tutorial page that does. Why not combine?
