Truth Social

I didn't experience any of the issues others seem to have. Registration was very easy, there was no paywall, there was no failure forcing me to restart, but there was a waiting period for my account to activate. My only wish was that it didn't feel like the app was just a desktop shortcut to a mobile web page. I feel like a bookmark in Firefox would perform the same. Otherwise, I hope the platform grows beyond it's current echo chamber state.

Problems with the app saying "too many requests" when I am just loading it up, much less during use of it. The one nice thing is that I dont get banned for saying my opinion, which happe ed even on X. A lot of scammers claiming to be who they are not to try and get money from you anyway they can.

I can't create an account at all — I keep getting an error. Even the worst app wouldn’t crash right at the start. Great job, developer 😀

After seeing the low reviews I thought I'd give it a shot and see if I had any similar issues. Right out the gate I did receive an error code but I closed and restarted and was able to create an account and get going within a few minutes. Flaws like any other app I'm sure but haven't found any based on functionality so far.

Have had this since it first came out, however, I haven't been on the app is a really long time. It prompted me to contact truth social, tried un-installing and re-installed. It time outs, or says to contact truth social support. What is going on, why isn't it working?

I have no problems I see others say:❗ * I enter my phone number. it doesn't accept. the phone number probably wascassigned to a previous blocked user. * video is great! I have min. data and older phone * edit a page?..copy, paste,correct and post. delete original. I also block lots of cartoons and mental unhealthy in nanoseconds. no other app so decent.

Frustrating as hell. Why don't u finally fix it by allowing finger-zoom like ANY other decent app? You can't read anyone's posted documents or even simple memes with small type? What's the point? I'd quit using all others if you'd just fix that.

I can't post anything. It keeps saying my account is awaiting SMS verification but I have not received any text nor does the app have any way to request one, that I have seen any way. I went to the help center and it was next to useless.

Zero experience. It wont let me create an account & acts like I already have one. I just downloaded it & have never bden on this platform before. So, either my phone number (couple months old) is associated with some one else or they're using my identity. Can't reach out to customer service. Nothing. Now I have to find out if someone is hiding behind me. Truth is: this app sucks & I've never even been on it!

It's alright but it's some time off competing with X as it's full of bugs and the ui is very cluttered. I stopped using X as it's not 0 free speech as I've had two accounts suspended for milquetoast comments. No threats, no targeted harassment etc Just reported for my opinion on a certain sensitive community. Then bam, I'm gone. So I'd thought I'd try this but it needs a lot more work first for issues mentioned above and more. It also needs more support from big names but they're all on X.

Lots of potential! I've complained about Truth before, but it does seem to be getting better. The trending section has become more real-time, as has the user timeline. The trending area could be even more engaging and informational. I'm seeing more posts from those I follow. Still not many from those I don't. It could still do more to push posts and accounts from users I may want to follow. Still, progress is being made in small increments, and it's slowly becoming a good social app.

an app you install an app that won't let you set up your account as when it sends you a code to your phone number but when you click on the 6 digit code that was already put there then says it's the incorrect code when it is not and you repeat the same instructions several times and It says incorrect shows this app is a problem uninstalled before an account was created as it would not let me create an account absolute rubbish and a waste of your time

They app is very functionally thought out. The suggestions and bug reports get addressed, of course not all can be. Good app availability, I remember only couple of times when the app was not on for a few minutes. The diverse points of view freely presented and discussed, thanks to the broad spectrum of users. Abundance of interest groups, from dad's jokes to music, to of course politics. i really like it, and gets better all the time.

I couldn't create an account until I got a whole new email address. When I finally got in, the app is very plain which makes it hard to navigate. I joined a couple groups, but groups don't matter because bots are posting the same content in every group anyway. For content, there's nothing but political speech, often lacking references to facts and violent in nature. This is an anti-social network, not worth the frustration of a poorly performing app with frequent service crashes.

While the premise sounds good, it's meaningless if one cannot even set up an account. Everything went smoothly until I was asked to input my phone number. When I did, a red banner popped up reading "Something went wrong. Try again.", bringing all forward progress to an abrupt halt. I guess we're stuck with Zuckerberg until you iron out this frustrating issue.

Tired of Facebook and thought this was a good option. While creating a new account it asked for a username so I typed in one....only to be given an error message saying "usernames can only contain letters, numbers, or underscores". My username was simply letters. I tried a bunch of different things and all got the same error message. If you can't even get the registration part of this app to work right....it sure doesn't make me feel like the app is worth using.

Installed but won't create an account. After email verification, I get to the part of adding my phone number (I don't like that but understand it) and it says "something went wrong" and won't let me proceed with making an acct / using the app. From one dev to another, unhandled exceptions and generic, nondescript error messages are seriously sloppy coding! Pull it out you guys. There is a lot more at stake than just pictures of someone's dinner.

Videos are ALWAYS a problem. I have yet to be able to watch one single video! I'm not exaggerating. I haven't been able to watch not one single video. They start playing, but as soon as I touch inside the video window to make it full screen or unmute or pause or anything, it stops playing and I cannot get it to resume or start over. Videos are just a HARD FAIL!!!

This app is just ok. lots of things to work out. you can't go back and edit anything if you made any misspells or mistakes. there's no option that I found. when I'm looking at other stuff, all of a sudden a big red warning will pop up: "oops! something went wrong!" then whatever I'm looking at is "unavailable and can't be reached!" probably Google doing it. Also there's a lot of spam/bot accounts, but that's the issue with all social media isn't it.

Tried to set up an account, but I can't get past the bit where you MUST enter a phone number! The app can't recognise my number no matter how I put it into the form, therefore rendering the app impossible to set up and use. **EDIT** It's got even worse now! I click to register an account and nothing happens at all. I can't even get past that page to set one up. At least I got to the bit where you could put a phone number in before! edit August 7th.

I have a new best friend. It’s TruthSocial. I was one of the first to get on, and it was wonderful then, but as more and more people —NOT BOTS— have been added, I have begun to feel like this must be what heaven is like, being able to freely say what you think and just getting love back from so many. Like one great big family. And the insider NEWS you get, you CANNOT find anywhere else. Plus, you get input from many sources because TRUTHERS share input from a wide variety of verified sources. I get far more news on TruthSocial than I ever got before on Fox. Wider variety of good commentators and news directly from the people making the news. And the beautiful part is that many of these newsmakers have TRUTH accounts and you can communicate directly with them and some actually respond! I feel like I know the news before the news happens. And I know now who the “bad guys” are, as well as the “good guys.” And I get to decide that for myself, not be hoodwinked by some media mouthpiece. News events make much more sense because I understand what’s happening behind the scenes and who is controlling it. TS is bringing people of different backgrounds together who otherwise would not think they would agreed with one another. THAT DOESN’T EVEN TOUCH ON THE HILARIOUS MEMES and many beautiful photos and prayers, even scrumptious recipes and good humor of the majority of TRUTHERS! I love you, TRUTHSOCIAL!

I am not a big social media user, however, it became very frustrating to see certain groups of people being censored for their views or beliefs on other platforms. When debate and questioning goes away, that is when control takes over. That is not American. I may not always agree with all others views, but I believe that everyone is entitled to their own views. I think the problem in this country is people have decided their feelings are facts. When that is not the case. We need more sites and media that put out ALL the facts, not just the ones that go along with their feelings or beliefs. It’s the only way people can make and validate their views. And discussion and debate help not hurt. We as a country need to learn to have civil debates according to facts. And we can only get facts if ALL information is allowed. This goes for all sides. I appreciate that Truth allows and encourages this. I have read debates that even though I may not even agree with either side, it makes me smile to see a discussion taking place. Sure you still get some people being mean and not reasonable. People who simply name call. But that is not the majority of what I have read. I love to hear people’s views on things.

I usually don’t write reviews, but figured that it would help others who might be on the fence about trying the Truth Social App. I was lucky to be included in the beta for the app, and from the start it’s been very clean with few bugs, and those that did pop up were addressed quickly. The throttled roll out which upset many was necessary because the infrastructure was constantly being upgraded and the site was under constant attacks by outside sources with bots. I gave accounts on all the major social media sites, and I can honestly say the Truth Social is my favorite and primary service. You get the unfiltered truth and that will bother some, but I’ve yet to experience any negatives in all my interactions on the site. I’ve heard that some are trying to say that it fosters racists views…that is simply NOT true! I can speak to this as an American who is 100% Hispanic. I wouldn’t tolerate it, but then again I’ve seen zero of it. All my interactions have been positive even with those who share differing views. All I can say is give a try and see for yourself. If you truly don’t like it then delete it, but as for me (and my wife and family) we love it for providing a site where you are not censored, and freedom of speech and the truth, is what it’s all about.

So far it’s Great! For the launch the glitches are not that bad. For the amount of people flooding to the app and setting up their account I’d say it’s strong! What you get- you get a family friendly app so don’t be vile you won’t last long! You get a mix between all your favorite SS Media apps but faster downloads and easier posting. You can easily move between pages and keep a better view of followers and follows. It’s insane how many people are on it, the posts are hard to keep up with because that many people are sharing great Truths! A lot of Real People sharing in real time news from their own videos. It’s great. The information is amazing! People are nice & even people who have different political views seem to have good conversations instead of trolls or hateful people on other social media sites! The trolls have arrived and try to share the most insane lies that they don’t last long because people can now call them out and show proof of the lies, where as other apps they censor people from showing the actual facts. There are no fake fact checkers who can censor people just because! The big launch is at the end of March so if you are on it earlier than that you will see bugs but they work on them fast to get them fixed! LOVE IT!
