I have an android and the weather display shows half of the temps. The numbers are cut off. also, the app won't let me delete messages I no longer want to keep. One last thing. The app is not very user friendly... Update ..I was able to fix the issue with the display by changing the display settings on my Moto phone..this probably should be made known to the TCC technicians when they are called by customers..
It's ok, but could be better. The interface is clean, but odd in its layout and colors. There's room for improvement. The thermostat seems to not coincide with the app at times, causing me to think that the Wi-Fi thermostat is no longer connected. Update: It stays connected and the WiFi is solid and reliable. That is a HUGE plus. I have a Carrier's WiFi thermostat at another address and the WiFi connection fails every few days and doesn't reconnect, so the WiFi is useless!

They were awful to program and I was never able to connect reliably to our Wi-Fi. The new thermostats were easy to set up and everything works flawlessly. The app and web browser interface provide all the control and feedback I want. I've not had any of the problems referenced in some other posts. Mostly, I'm wondering, "Why didn't I do this a long time ago?"
It connects and allows me to see the indoor temperature. It also allows me to change the temperature setting. What I'm really disappointed about is that I can't set the schedule, start the fan, or see the history of my energy use. I have a wireless thermostat with Redlink I.G., which is where the features are lacking, I believe. Still, I'm disappointed I can't have the same functionality as my Nests. It has basic functionality but feels like it was created by an intern. So many basic issues. You can add multiple thermostats for a location but they're all just labeled 'thermostat' so no way to know which one is which. The screen scaling is awful and it doesn't handle screen rotation properly. You need to go to the web site to set it up but the web site is not mobile friendly and very hard to use on a phone. This is 2025, people expect an app to kind of look professional.
The Total Connect Comfort app has performed marvelously. We have this a couple years now and our trouble was when we installed the thermostat,come to find out 1 rotten egg made it through quality control somehow. We took it back to where we got it, they replaced it, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. The App has never let us down or given us any surprises since it has been installed.
It does what it needs to do. Nothing fancy but it allows you to control the temperature of your household from anywhere. You can put a schedule for separate days and, even, have separate schedules for 'heat' and 'cool.' Setting up the schedule could be a little more simplified, but it's not too hard to learn. All in all, it does the job i need it to do without me having to physically walk up to my thermostat
Sold my house & didn't take my thermostat with me, so bought a new one for my new place. Love the fact I can change the temperature with my phone. I have no problems/bugs with the app, & I have used it for years. Fun fact, I can change colors on the face of the thermostat, so it also adds to the art/decor in my house. Heard folks are having trouble with the app on their Google phone. I had a Google phone about 10 years ago and was a horrible buggy phone with everything!
The schedule doesn't work correctly. If you set the temperature to change at, let's say, 11pm, it will start changing up to an hour and a half early to be at that temperature at that time. so long story short, the whole reason for a programmable thermostat is for full control and power cost savings goes away. the manufacturer should at least let you choose that as an option instead of forcing their customers into it. maybe they get a cut from the power companies for the extra power consumption
Usually works well, occasional server issues. Useless "Find Rebates" button. Do they think I shop daily for new appliances? Occasional annoying shopping pop-ups. Outdated app with limited functionality. The ability to schedule the thermostat with Google Calendar would be great. I have a very irrregular work schedule and a set programming schedule does not work for me.
App was fine until recently when it started forcing itself into landscape mode. Now, the app is completely unusable as the buttons are inaccessible. I've tried every setting known to man to get it to work and it won't switch back to portrait. The thermostat was inexpensive enough that I'm thinking of switching back to Nest.
Its great... when it works. App is taken offline more than I would like, disconnecting your ability to manipulate the thermostat as intended. Its completely on the end of the manufacturer and seems to come in waves. Pluses are the ability to control all connected hardware devices, humidity, heat, cooling, etc. minuses are the buggy design and constant updates that you never know when are coming and loss of access.
Worked great for couple years, then wouldn't let use remotely. Reinstall app. 3 times, but never worked again. It is connected to home WiFi, but try to use and states not connected. Update: 8/25 called representative, and he cleared up all issues. Great person and resolved in 2 minutes. Works Great! Thank you for your support.
Save yourself the hassle, find something else. The app somehow added an additional thermostat, and there's no way to remove it. Also no way to rename them. My Honeywell thermostat was provided as part of a promotion where the energy company could remotely turn off cooling for energy savings, the promotion term has ended (over 2 years ago), but the company still turns it off at their discretion. The app no longer allows me to opt out, I have to physically be at the thermostat to opt out.
This app has a lot less features than one would expect. it does not even cover all of the controls that the thermostat has. It really is a "check-the-box" kind of app just to say they have an app. My kids bought the new "Smart Color Thermostat". I thought the app would let me load a vacation schedule. No, my old "dumb" thermostat was better at that.
it works but ... once the thermostat is programmed the app is useless. it doesn't do anything. how about adding a feature to alert the user if home temperature goes above or below a preprogrammed range ? . I was really happy with the thermostat and the app. But then one day (after a year or so) it came up on the wrong day. There is no way to change this in the device or in the app. After wasting about an hour, I finally did a factory reset of the thermostat and reprogrammed the whole thing. Now it works again. I guess it's not the end of the world to factory reset one a year, but this could have been avoided with a very simple option to change (or update from the web) the date/day/time in the app.

Honeywell knows the internal and target temps, and when appliances were engaged to correct the temperature. They don't bother to share that valuable information with their customers. The point was driven home when my AC lost efficiency and the unit was running continuously for 12 hours overnight, never catching up. Not one word of warning from the app. How I wish I'd spent my money on a Nest.

No, my old "dumb" thermostat was better at that.

The Total Connect Comfort app has performed marvelously. We have this a couple years now and our trouble was when we installed the thermostat,come to find out 1 rotten egg made it through quality control somehow. We took it back to where we got it, they replaced it, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. The App has never let us down or given us any surprises since it has been installed.
Sold my house & didn't take my thermostat with me, so bought a new one for my new place. Love the fact I can change the temperature with my phone. I have no problems/bugs with the app, & I have used it for years. Fun fact, I can change colors on the face of the thermostat, so it also adds to the art/decor in my house. Heard folks are having trouble with the app on their Google phone. I had a Google phone about 10 years ago and was a horrible buggy phone with everything!
Worked great for couple years, then wouldn't let use remotely. Reinstall app. 3 times, but never worked again. It is connected to home WiFi, but try to use and states not connected. Update: 8/25 called representative, and he cleared up all issues. Great person and resolved in 2 minutes. Works Great! Thank you for your support.
It's ok, but could be better. The interface is clean, but odd in its layout and colors. There's room for improvement. The thermostat seems to not coincide with the app at times, causing me to think that the Wi-Fi thermostat is no longer connected. Update: It stays connected and the WiFi is solid and reliable. That is a HUGE plus. I have a Carrier's WiFi thermostat at another address and the WiFi connection fails every few days and doesn't reconnect, so the WiFi is useless!
App was working fine, but for last week or so, it has been stuck at "connecting". Update: App is working again. It must have been an issue with the servers. This has always been a very intuitive and easy to use app. I would give it 5 stars except for the periodic issues with server availability, as I have experienced issues in the past as well.
It does what it needs to do. Nothing fancy but it allows you to control the temperature of your household from anywhere. You can put a schedule for separate days and, even, have separate schedules for 'heat' and 'cool.' Setting up the schedule could be a little more simplified, but it's not too hard to learn. All in all, it does the job i need it to do without me having to physically walk up to my thermostat
Usually works well, occasional server issues. Useless "Find Rebates" button. Do they think I shop daily for new appliances? Occasional annoying shopping pop-ups. Outdated app with limited functionality. The ability to schedule the thermostat with Google Calendar would be great. I have a very irrregular work schedule and a set programming schedule does not work for me.
I have an android and the weather display shows half of the temps. The numbers are cut off. also, the app won't let me delete messages I no longer want to keep. One last thing. The app is not very user friendly... Update ..I was able to fix the issue with the display by changing the display settings on my Moto phone..this probably should be made known to the TCC technicians when they are called by customers..
Its great... when it works. App is taken offline more than I would like, disconnecting your ability to manipulate the thermostat as intended. Its completely on the end of the manufacturer and seems to come in waves. Pluses are the ability to control all connected hardware devices, humidity, heat, cooling, etc. minuses are the buggy design and constant updates that you never know when are coming and loss of access.
it works but ... once the thermostat is programmed the app is useless. it doesn't do anything. how about adding a feature to alert the user if home temperature goes above or below a preprogrammed range ? . Alex, thanks for the response. it's unfortunate that the app doesn't have the same functionality as the website / portal. the App would be better if it did.
I was really happy with the thermostat and the app. But then one day (after a year or so) it came up on the wrong day. There is no way to change this in the device or in the app. After wasting about an hour, I finally did a factory reset of the thermostat and reprogrammed the whole thing. Now it works again. I guess it's not the end of the world to factory reset one a year, but this could have been avoided with a very simple option to change (or update from the web) the date/day/time in the app.

What I'm really disappointed about is that I can't set the schedule, start the fan, or see the history of my energy use. I have a wireless thermostat with Redlink I.G., which is where the features are lacking, I believe. Still, I'm disappointed I can't have the same functionality as my Nests. This app has a lot less features than one would expect. it does not even cover all of the controls that the thermostat has. It really is a "check-the-box" kind of app just to say they have an app. My kids bought the new "Smart Color Thermostat". I thought the app would let me load a vacation schedule. No, my old "dumb" thermostat was better at that.
In my first review, I talked about how this app is great at control, and lousy at providing data. Honeywell knows the internal and target temps, and when appliances were engaged to correct the temperature. They don't bother to share that valuable information with their customers. The point was driven home when my AC lost efficiency and the unit was running continuously for 12 hours overnight, never catching up. Not one word of warning from the app. How I wish I'd spent my money on a Nest.
It has basic functionality but feels like it was created by an intern. So many basic issues. You can add multiple thermostats for a location but they're all just labeled 'thermostat' so no way to know which one is which. The screen scaling is awful and it doesn't handle screen rotation properly. You need to go to the web site to set it up but the web site is not mobile friendly and very hard to use on a phone. This is 2025, people expect an app to kind of look professional.

If you set the temperature to change at, let's say, 11pm, it will start changing up to an hour and a half early to be at that temperature at that time. so long story short, the whole reason for a programmable thermostat is for full control and power cost savings goes away. the manufacturer should at least let you choose that as an option instead of forcing their customers into it. maybe they get a cut from the power companies for the extra power consumption

I've tried every setting known to man to get it to work and it won't switch back to portrait. The thermostat was inexpensive enough that I'm thinking of switching back to Nest.
Save yourself the hassle, find something else. The app somehow added an additional thermostat, and there's no way to remove it. Also no way to rename them. My Honeywell thermostat was provided as part of a promotion where the energy company could remotely turn off cooling for energy savings, the promotion term has ended (over 2 years ago), but the company still turns it off at their discretion. The app no longer allows me to opt out, I have to physically be at the thermostat to opt out.

I installed a new RTH 9585 thermostat on each floor of our three zone home. The previous owner had left three RTH 6585 models behind. They were awful to program and I was never able to connect reliably to our Wi-Fi. The new thermostats were easy to set up and everything works flawlessly. The app and web browser interface provide all the control and feedback I want. I've not had any of the problems referenced in some other posts. Mostly, I'm wondering, "Why didn't I do this a long time ago?"
