Cant put an end date in, so it asks me for the end date everytime I click on a property. The price shown on the map isn't the actual price. This doesn't make the place look like a bargain, it's makes you look like snide pr1cks. Can't work out how to change the search location???

Unreliable. total scam. stay away. Host ignored our calls, texts, and messages the night of check in. Spotahome customer service was not helpful and wouldn't respond. we resorted to staying in a hotel for a few nights until we could book an AirBnB. Don't recommend this at all. Stay away. now to figure out how to get a refund - might have to do a charge back.

Don't go for it. After getting everything with Spotahome, the negotiation of the apartment was done with a company called Green Solid. The advertised apartment had a dishwasher, when getting there it didn't. The water of the apartment was brown and dirty for most of the time I spent in there. When they gave my deposit back, they deduct from my money, the fees of their bank. The bank that they had chosen. That's just insane. Spotahome doesn't help to sort things out with the agency.

This is the most sad, laggy, room search experience, simply impossible to use! This gets even more nightmareish when you need to look for lots of pictures and listings. The website has more filters than the app...it's like the company doesn't want people using their app...I mean, why even bother then?

The most disgusting app with the most pathetic service ever. I feel dumb for not checking the app review before booking a place. 1dedcuted amount upon booking an unverified property & the next day when I requested cancellation because I dint find the location and neighborhood apt. they said no amount will be refunded 2since my money is stuck, when I went on with the booking, the contract had different owner details than that on the site 3I emailed continuously for resolution & received noreply

It doesn't quite deserve 1 star as well, most flawed system ever, don't book places from these guys (especially international people or students). They say that homes are verified, but most of the houses even though they look good, are temporarily repaired and maintained, so once you move in, you are going to realise almost everything has some or the other issue. Also the worst part is you can't review houses or rate the house and landlord, so when you move in, you are completely oblivious.

Still, customer service is lacking, contacting them is hard, and no amount of money is going to cover the 5 days of pure stress i went through. Likely a scam. Booked an apartment, charged me 1600 USD, and then the service dies. Logging in to complete the required info is impossible, and i can't access the appt address 2 days before my trip. Won't provide a phone and won't answer my emails. My trip is tomorrow!! I want a refund!

I don't recommend Spotahome... My partner and I made an instant booking for a place, the money got deducted from our account but we didn't move in because the description didn't match the place. It said suitable for couples but turns out it wasn't suitable for couples, we got our money back after 1 week and we were assisted with other options that were above our price range and didn't match our last search. It was a very inconvenient experience and we no longer trust Spotahome.

Really disappointed with cancelation policy. I cancelled almost a month before moving in, but they didn't refunde me anything cause i cancelled just 3 days late. I asked the support cause it was just 3 days and i was in a really difficult situation with money and explained them but they were just sending autoreplies. I understand that you have strict cancellation policy but it would be nice if Spotahome understood some humanity.

App works really bad. Hard to navigate, functions poorly and they included options that will go far over your price indication because they let renter put period prices as well. It will come up in your search like a good price and then its always hunderds euros more. Leave those propertys to AirBnB, Spotahome. 2 years ago this company was really nice, now its turning into a scam. I would recommand Badi instead!!!

Piece of junk. Impossible to change location after a search which makes it totally unusable. If you want to search via your phone better luck with Airbnb

SCAM - AVOID!! Their support service is useless nobody responds. landlords are absolute scam artists they will charge you made up fees and hide the contract from you when you ask to be given a copy. When you try to leave they will charge you £1,300 for breaking contract early and give you stupid rent prices like £3,000 a month for a 1 bed apartment.

It was a truly horrible experience : I requested a booking, it got accepted, they got the money, then they canceled my bookings, and told me that i can use that payment on another booking, so i made another booking, then they decided to take forever to reply to my emails, didn't use the payment from before, then this booking got canceled again. I am still waiting for my refund, truly the worst experience ever.

Dogs and scammers. I asked for investigation due to my evection based on fabricated 0 claims from the other flatmates. Zero effort from spotahome, not only that but somehow they wanted more money from me for future rents even though it was explicitely said that after the first comission for helping to find the apartment all other payments are done through timbrea directly to the landlord. Also they wanted 10 documents of proof of income on a 5 figure bank account for the mere 4 months stay

Ui is painful, website is better so far. I opened the app, logged in, searched one location, no idea how to go back and search another city 😂 if I go filters and back it just goes back to the map. If I reset the filters back to the map. If I close and reopen, back to same location.. if I scroll on the map, it still only shows places that are in the searched location. As a mobile dev myself, I am confused af. Overall love the concept of spotahome and want to use the service.

The worst experience!! They have the worst customer service I have experienced. I had lots of issues with my reservation, they changed the dates and payment plan without my consent. This generated a lot of issues with the landlord regarding my payment plan, and they weren't helpful at all. They don't even try to understand your case nor analize further, every interaction is a nightmare. And don't have a phone to call. Wouldn't use this again, and don't recommend anyone to use it.

Edited: I’ve been trying to contact Spotahome for almost two weeks, but I haven’t received any response from their side. The contact forms don’t allow me to report any issues, their WhatsApp and Facebook messengers don’t work, and emails are ignored. They simply don’t care once they have received your payment. If you’re considering using Spotahome as a rental agent, be aware that their help and support center will not assist you when you need it.

wanted to find a house in Berlin as an international student and saw the reviews here and opting out now🙏 review edit: after putting an effort to explore this app - Receive only rejections from landlords and did not get any approvals. Booked my last one and if it doesn't work out then just uninstalling the app right away. reducing it from 3 stars to 1 now. If the last booking gets confirmed then will think about coming back edit this one.

They push listings to you via emails not according to your filter preference and take your money without doing anything to help. Got sent a studio listing that didn't mention no pets allowed despite my setting was on pet friendly apartments only. Made a booking, the landlord accepted. Moved in and a week later got asked to leave because they don't allow pets.Now, the landlord refuses to return the deposit & Spotahome refuses to pay back my rent or fees and is absolutely doing nothing.

It said suitable for couples but turns out it wasn't suitable for couples, we got our money back after 1 week and we were assisted with other options that were above our price range and didn't match our last search. It was a very inconvenient experience and we no longer trust Spotahome.

Really disappointed with cancelation policy. I cancelled almost a month before moving in, but they didn't refunde me anything cause i cancelled just 3 days late. I asked the support cause it was just 3 days and i was in a really difficult situation with money and explained them but they were just sending autoreplies. I understand that you have strict cancellation policy but it would be nice if Spotahome understood some humanity.

Ui is painful, website is better so far. I opened the app, logged in, searched one location, no idea how to go back and search another city 😂 if I go filters and back it just goes back to the map. If I reset the filters back to the map. If I close and reopen, back to same location.. if I scroll on the map, it still only shows places that are in the searched location. As a mobile dev myself, I am confused af. Overall love the concept of spotahome and want to use the service.

The worst experience!! They have the worst customer service I have experienced. I had lots of issues with my reservation, they changed the dates and payment plan without my consent. This generated a lot of issues with the landlord regarding my payment plan, and they weren't helpful at all. They don't even try to understand your case nor analize further, every interaction is a nightmare. And don't have a phone to call. Wouldn't use this again, and don't recommend anyone to use it.

Edited: I’ve been trying to contact Spotahome for almost two weeks, but I haven’t received any response from their side. The contact forms don’t allow me to report any issues, their WhatsApp and Facebook messengers don’t work, and emails are ignored. They simply don’t care once they have received your payment. If you’re considering using Spotahome as a rental agent, be aware that their help and support center will not assist you when you need it.

wanted to find a house in Berlin as an international student and saw the reviews here and opting out now🙏 review edit: after putting an effort to explore this app - Receive only rejections from landlords and did not get any approvals. Booked my last one and if it doesn't work out then just uninstalling the app right away. reducing it from 3 stars to 1 now. If the last booking gets confirmed then will think about coming back edit this one.

They push listings to you via emails not according to your filter preference and take your money without doing anything to help. Got sent a studio listing that didn't mention no pets allowed despite my setting was on pet friendly apartments only. Made a booking, the landlord accepted. Moved in and a week later got asked to leave because they don't allow pets.Now, the landlord refuses to return the deposit & Spotahome refuses to pay back my rent or fees and is absolutely doing nothing.

deceiving app and content - i filtered on "checked"/verified listings, but the "huge" rooms are barely walkable (you see the struggle in their videos too) the price is not clear and does not add up .. they list several costs, but not clear if it is a one-off or monthly etc.

Review edit: they refunded me quickly, so I'm modifying my review. Still, customer service is lacking, contacting them is hard, and no amount of money is going to cover the 5 days of pure stress i went through. Likely a scam. Booked an apartment, charged me 1600 USD, and then the service dies. Logging in to complete the required info is impossible, and i can't access the appt address 2 days before my trip. Won't provide a phone and won't answer my emails. My trip is tomorrow!! I want a refund!

Unreliable. total scam. stay away. Host ignored our calls, texts, and messages the night of check in. Spotahome customer service was not helpful and wouldn't respond. we resorted to staying in a hotel for a few nights until we could book an AirBnB. Don't recommend this at all. Stay away. now to figure out how to get a refund - might have to do a charge back.

Don't go for it. After getting everything with Spotahome, the negotiation of the apartment was done with a company called Green Solid. The advertised apartment had a dishwasher, when getting there it didn't. The water of the apartment was brown and dirty for most of the time I spent in there. When they gave my deposit back, they deduct from my money, the fees of their bank. The bank that they had chosen. That's just insane. Spotahome doesn't help to sort things out with the agency.

This is the most sad, laggy, room search experience, simply impossible to use! This gets even more nightmareish when you need to look for lots of pictures and listings. The website has more filters than the app...it's like the company doesn't want people using their app...I mean, why even bother then?

I feel dumb for not checking the app review before booking a place. 1dedcuted amount upon booking an unverified property & the next day when I requested cancellation because I dint find the location and neighborhood apt. they said no amount will be refunded 2since my money is stuck, when I went on with the booking, the contract had different owner details than that on the site 3I emailed continuously for resolution & received noreply

It doesn't quite deserve 1 star as well, most flawed system ever, don't book places from these guys (especially international people or students). They say that homes are verified, but most of the houses even though they look good, are temporarily repaired and maintained, so once you move in, you are going to realise almost everything has some or the other issue. Also the worst part is you can't review houses or rate the house and landlord, so when you move in, you are completely oblivious.

I don't recommend Spotahome... My partner and I made an instant booking for a place, the money got deducted from our account but we didn't move in because the description didn't match the place. It said suitable for couples but turns out it wasn't suitable for couples, we got our money back after 1 week and we were assisted with other options that were above our price range and didn't match our last search. It was a very inconvenient experience and we no longer trust Spotahome.

Really disappointed with cancelation policy. I cancelled almost a month before moving in, but they didn't refunde me anything cause i cancelled just 3 days late. I asked the support cause it was just 3 days and i was in a really difficult situation with money and explained them but they were just sending autoreplies. I understand that you have strict cancellation policy but it would be nice if Spotahome understood some humanity.

App works really bad. Hard to navigate, functions poorly and they included options that will go far over your price indication because they let renter put period prices as well. It will come up in your search like a good price and then its always hunderds euros more. Leave those propertys to AirBnB, Spotahome. 2 years ago this company was really nice, now its turning into a scam. I would recommand Badi instead!!!

Cant put an end date in, so it asks me for the end date everytime I click on a property. The price shown on the map isn't the actual price. This doesn't make the place look like a bargain, it's makes you look like snide pr1cks. Can't work out how to change the search location???

SCAM - AVOID!! Their support service is useless nobody responds. landlords are absolute scam artists they will charge you made up fees and hide the contract from you when you ask to be given a copy. When you try to leave they will charge you £1,300 for breaking contract early and give you stupid rent prices like £3,000 a month for a 1 bed apartment.

It was a truly horrible experience : I requested a booking, it got accepted, they got the money, then they canceled my bookings, and told me that i can use that payment on another booking, so i made another booking, then they decided to take forever to reply to my emails, didn't use the payment from before, then this booking got canceled again. I am still waiting for my refund, truly the worst experience ever.

Dogs and scammers. I asked for investigation due to my evection based on fabricated 0 claims from the other flatmates. Zero effort from spotahome, not only that but somehow they wanted more money from me for future rents even though it was explicitely said that after the first comission for helping to find the apartment all other payments are done through timbrea directly to the landlord. Also they wanted 10 documents of proof of income on a 5 figure bank account for the mere 4 months stay

Piece of junk. Impossible to change location after a search which makes it totally unusable. If you want to search via your phone better luck with Airbnb

I don't recommend Spotahome... My partner and I made an instant booking for a place, the money got deducted from our account but we didn't move in because the description didn't match the place. It said suitable for couples but turns out it wasn't suitable for couples, we got our money back after 1 week and we were assisted with other options that were above our price range and didn't match our last search.
