So you've got to jump through all the hoops of making and setting up an account...then there's no way to create a character?? At least before being invited to a game. To make matters worse you used to be able to create your character whenever you wanted in a previous version of the app. All around a terrible change and an epic fail for an rpg app. Id give 0/10 if it would let me seeing as how this is such a crucial feature in playing a ttrpg. Until this is changed 1 star is best I could give it.

I very much enjoy using this app. I use it in tandem with the website for my character sheet and rolls. Took a bit of getting used to when trying to finding everything and you can only use your sheet as is, no editing. But any edits done on the website reflect in app almost instantly. This app is a great little tool, just wish I could edit my current sheet and create new character sheets outside of games.

The app itself is cool, it really helps to make skill checks and keep track of your stats, but there is one HUUUUUGE flaw in this app. Every time you re-enter the app all of your weapons and attacks break down. You cannot make attack rolls with them and the only way to fix it is to rewrite manually all statlines of your weapons.

It is the great idea, but pls make it real. There are a lot of bugs, and holes, sometimes problem with design, sometimes there is no data for damage roll. And also here is giant sign "You don't have any abilities", but there is clearly a few of them under the sign. Pls, just make it good and usable. It would be great app after completing it. I wish you a good luck and productivity.

I hate to be that guy, but I've changed my Password, tried rewritting my e-mail 6 times, confirmed on PC and Mobile Browsers my account is up and running, and even waited 2 days to see if anything would be different. Nope, as of the date of this review the app just refuses to use log in with my account. If there's any way to fix this I'm all ears, but so far, I can't even open this.

Yeah... Other review are probably a little harsh. It's great for a companion app! You use your phone to play your character, and you use a laptop for the map and the chat. My problem with the app is that it doesn't support macros. Most of my characters will use macros for more complex roll dice or for autoscalling the damage according to a character's level, but since thus app doesn't support them, it's nearly useless to me.

An issue I've encountered is if you have custom resources, it will delete them and you cannot see them in the slightest. there's some other things, like boxes telling me to add things that are already there still existing, I cannot do anything related to spells, and overall it's cumbersome to edit (it even tells you to edit it on a PC). overall, it's good and works appropriately, but it should encapsulate everything you can do for a Roll20 character sheet into an app.

The design of this app is sub par. It's better to sign in on browser and pop out sheet. That works way better. I was hoping you guys would eventually address this. Every player in my games that has tried to use it says it's pretty much unusable because it doesn't give the same access to things you would get on a computer. I hope it gets an update someday because not everyone has a laptop. Or wants to bring one to game.

So far, I can't do anything except look at which games I have running, whoch players are in them, and up to 4 NPC characters in said game which I can't even open because they aren't supported yet. Won't work for anything I might want to do in my games on the go but I hope future improvements will make at least editing or viewing statblocks possible.

Missing fundamental components. Allows for rolling your abilities but that's about it. Better hope you don't need to look up any of the features of your skills, details of inventory items or anything like that, cause half the fields don't expand properly, and all the formatting from the text boxes is lost so everything is mushed together. I'd gladly donate some money or time to getting developer attention to their app, it needs a lot of work.

It's better than trying to work on the website when using mobile. However, from what I've seen it's kinda eternally in dark mode, which wouldn't be an issue if all the text actually converted with it. Half the time I have to select the text to read the moves I actually have selected. It also almost never loads in well enough to tell me what exactly I rolled (I can tell if it's a fail but not a mixed success) and says nothing about what my friends rolled so I still have to have the website open!

While not yet having the chance to use this app in an actual game, I have spent around 30 minutes recognizing myself with the app. The overall look of the UI looks crisp and clean. Easy to view even if it looks a little smooshed on my phone screen. There currently seems to be an issue with rolling any type of dice roles. There's a message, "error formatting role". The report bug button also has a problem, and links to a search engine where the writing looks to be Russian. My two cents ✌😗ðŸ‘

This is a character sheet only app, so for those saying you can't do much with it - that's not what it's intended for. With that said, it works fine as a viewer to your char sheets, and has the ability to send dice rolls to your game (though this isn't functionality I've needed yet). It would be nice if you could level your characters through the app, but as a reference guide, it's useful.

If you're the dm of a game, you can't open your games as the dm. You can only see if you have a character sheet in that game that belongs to you directly (ie not in other players journals and controlled by them), which is such a let down. I can't even see my players sheets? If I want to know their stats I gotta either open the desktop version (defeating the purpose of mobile) or ask them. I think this one change would massively improve the app

Don't know how this app is supposed to work. must have missed the DC hard when I DL'd it because I can't seem to find the simplest things... like the Character Creator/Character sheets... isn't that the whole point of this app?! Literally, it can't do one thing they show in the preview, no easy menu, no working links, and the "Compendium" may as well be an actual brick because nothing come up but the names of things... The only easy thing was LOGGING OUT! Roll20 rolled a Nat 1 on this one.

It's sad really, the layout and everything is almost perfect. Easy to navigate, but you can't edit your own sheets which seems like the biggest oversight. It is a character sheet viewer for the game, why wouldn't I be able to edit my own character? As a DM I was planning on having my players use the app for a easier ecosystem but most don't have computers to actually edit the sheets, and I'm not the kind of Dm to treat their players like children and not let them edit stats. Fix and I'll switch.

Even for an app that is supposed to let you read you character sheets every sheet I've ever looked at is quote "not optimized for mobile". There is no way I can find to make them compatible. While you can press buttons on the sheet whether or not they actually go through seems to be a dice roll in itself. This app hasn't changed in 2 years as far as I can tell using it. It isn't worth the space to keep if it wasn't for the fact that the website is even less optimized for mobile.

It's a good app, but it is missing so many features. You can open character sheets and roll dice, and that's about it. Very limited editing is allowed and you can't see any battle maps. The only situation where I would use the Roll20 app over the website is if my laptop wasn't working, but even still, I would probably use Roll20 through my phone browser instead so that I had access to all the same features.

The app needs just a little work, you're unable to adjust your weapons if you level up on the website. you can't do initiative for your character, it does put it in chat, but not directly in the initiative order, the DM has to input there. I would really like to give it 5 âs, but it's not quite there yet. It would be nice to have a little more control of your weapons, similar to how the webpage works. I don't know yet how the spells work yet, I really hope that it is fixed before my campaign.

The app works okay- I have to restart it a couple times during my sessions, but it helps to look at my stats and feats. However, you can't look at any spells past Level 3, and you can't see the time it takes to cast or the duration on many spells. I can deal with the casting time and duration, but I need access to ALL my spells, not just cantrips to Level 3.
