ParkWhiz -- Parking App

Good news: it gave me a nearby parking garage to the venue with good rates. Bad news: after paying on the app, the barcode it gave wouldn't scan, the attendant didn't know anything about park whiz and couldn't find my preorder for a space, and I ended up paying a second time. Might just be the specific garage I went to, but that's the one closest to all the venues I go to, so that's a delete from me, dawg.

The advertised $5 promo rate did not apply when I booked. When contacted, the company gave me a $5 credit towards another booking but not as a discount, as advertised. To make it worse, the app charged $21.90 for a lot that had a drive-up rate of $12.00. When I contacted the company, they advised they charge for the "peace of mind of having a spot." I used this app because the venue instructed us to. Not for "peace of mind" on a completely EMPTY lot that I could have easily paid for in person.

Makes choosing easy, great prices, no hassle. App knows what event you're going to see, so you know the lot /garage won't close on you. Fully describes parking, including walking time. Use the map to pick. Pay ahead - drive in /drive out without seeing anyone bc it has your plate number. We recommended ParkWhiz to another car pulling into the lot, and they were thrilled. Yay!

We didn't have any problems finding the parking lot. We had multiple problems trying to get into the parking lot building when we were leaving. The parking lot required a paid parking ticket from a quick psy parking machine to get into the building. Which this app conveniently doesn't tell you, and by using this app you don't get a ticket. The parking attendant was unfamiliar with the app. The scan code did not work. Never using this app again.

Update - they did end up issuing me a credit, which I appreciate. ___ After using this app for years, and spending hundreds of dollars through them, I had an issue with a parking pass last weekend - here's what I learned: 1. They don't have any phone customer support. 2. Their email support suggested that I rebook, at a higher rate, then just stopped responding. 3. There are apps with much better service available.

I was not able to park at the location selected. There was no parking attendant present, and the gate would not open. Customer service was of no help. I had to drive around for over an hour, trying to find parking. Was late to my event, missed half the show. Definitely won't be using parwhiz anymore. One and done! Oh, and their website says they do not offer refunds in case you can't find your reserved facility, nor if you opted to park elsewhere!!!

I bought parking tickets for an event weeks before the event at a good price. Went to the garage to redeem and they overbooked at a price of 8 x more and refused to honor my ticket costing me a lot more money and time to find another parking space. ParkWhiz refuses to help. I would never use this app again as they allow and are ok with scammers on their app. If you want to waste your time and end up paying a lot more then go ahead and use this app.

I got charged extra on site for a parking I booked through the app, and the next day I got an email from ParkWhiz that the parking providers shouldn't have charged me extra (which they really shouldn't have, I did not stay longer than what I reserved it for) and they issued me a credit, and that was even before I complained to them about it. In my opinion that's an example of great customer service, good job.

Downloaded and booked my first reservation. Got to the garage and they were full and would not honor the reservation. Parked further down the block at another garage listed in the app, but couldn't get the reservation transferred. Walked past the first place and they were letting in cars. 🤬 The developer response is comedic. Customer service just ignored that I went to another one of their garages and wouldn't help resolve the cost disparity.

Sometimes, when you book, the parking lots are unavailable, and then it will be a hell of an experience to get a refund. We wasted 2 hours getting to the city, 1 hour simply driving around the blocks, ensuring the lot indeed closed, relocating to another location to find out it is closed too, spend money on gas and tolls, and lost our tickets due to us being unable to park in time. Parkwhiz only refunded for one occurence but not the other. Don't book through them. Rip off

Wouldn't let me pay for parking because "license plate didn't match what was scanned at entry." Triple-checked plate even though I didn't need to because we had our plate info saved and had parked in the same lot before. There's no way to bypass this error, either. It just won't let you pay. Absolutely unacceptable to depend on this app and potentially get a ticket for its errors. EDIT: IT GOT WORSE. They retroactively started my session and charged me $75 for TWO DAYS of parking I didn't use.

Just downloaded the app for tonight's Beyonce concert. First issue, app won't let me SIGN UP due to no internet....which is inaccurate. I was able to sign up online on my laptop and sign in with my password. Second issue, can't sign in on the app. I keep getting a wrong password notification, even though I'm using the same password when I signed in on my on laptop. .....

I prepaid for all-day parking while attending a conference. When I arrived at the garage, my code didn't work. Wasn't recognized by the reader, and so in order to park I had to take a ticket and pay AGAIN. I submitted a refund request, and three days later haven't heard anything. And I needn't have done it at all, there were plenty of available spaces in that garage, I didn't need to throw my money away. This app is like a tax on anxious people!

I would give it 5 stars but suddenly after reserving parking for the last couple of weeks. I cannot now use the same card saying payment method is not accepted. I have also went in and redid Information . checked and my card is good all information good etc... now I'm stuck. I'd like to know why suddenly my method of payment is suddenly not acceptable.

Tried to book parking. I had to extend the time by one hour due to an event they offered before the game I was going to. All the app did was give a loading circle. It never moved forward. When it did finally move forward, it showed me the time I wanted. I booked the time frame, and it reverted back to the original one. Customer service was zero help and a waste of time. Do not recommend it. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Garbage!!! Paid online for parking and when we arrived, we were told that the lot was full. Was unable to find parking in time after being turned and had to cancel our plans after driving over an hour and paying tolls to get to Manhattan. Don't take our money if you can't reserve a spot for us!! Now we have to jump through hoops to get a refund. Find a different parking app!!!

Long story short, the app charged me over double what another online app that the concert venue later sent me. I tried to cancel, but it said it couldn't be canceled. I emailed asking for a price adjustment. Over two weeks later, they emailed back and said none could be made because they can't predict drive up rates, and that I could have canceled. I already explained it was an online site offering cheaper prices and that I tried to cancel, but they wouldn't let me. It's a scam.

My car was recently locked in a garage before the time Park Whiz said the reservation ended. It led to me having to pay to stay in a hotel because the garage wouldn't open and the help line provided did not work. Park Whiz eventually refunded my $10, but I was still out $284 for the hotel and a late fee for a garage that I couldn't get into. They also refuse to change the information about the garage or delist it. I can't trust this app anymore. I will either use Spot Hero or find my own parking

Waste of Money!!! I prepaid for the parking lot but when I got there during the timeframe I paid for, the lot was full. I ended up having to park on the street and pay a huge $ for a metered spot. My friends who also pre-paid for a spot in X lot, who didn't understand downtown, parked outside the lot without paying for a meter and got a ticket!!!

Google Maps led us down a street that was blocked off because of the game being played that day. without the ability to turn around because there was a line of cars behind us all waiting to turn in the parking garage on that street. the only available option was to park in that different parking area than one I paid for so after consideration, I changed my rating from one to 3 stars since it wasn't the apps fault.
