This has been one of my favorite apps for years (chef's kiss!). I've used it for so long I can't remember not having it. If someone were to ask me "how can it be improved?", I can't think of anything except for a feature which can simulate the sound of a tube amp. Excellent job on the reverb setting. It makes my cell phone single speaker sound closer to dual speakers when aim to away from me.

Best player I have found!! Perfect for someone who likes to have an actual .MP3 collection instead of streaming. The only player I've found that the developer has figured out how to deal with my car sending an autoplay signal as soon as the car connects. I don't WANT my music player on my phone reacting to that EVERY time I start my car and this is the only app I've found that figured this out! NO ADS in the free version! Paid for Pro just to support the developer, I don't need the features..

Literally perfect. It's so intuitive, easy to use, let's you cut and adjust audio if a song has something you wanna change. Even lets you adjust speed and pitch. You can customize Playlists and it doesn't close when you lock your phone screen. It's easily the best phone app I've used in a literal decade. The only fault I could find is that because of the new P.O.S. Android updates, the Android system will sometimes kill the app while it's in the middle of playing music...😑

Absolutely incredible app! Ad free apps are hard to come by, and its very easy to use! As someone who purchases mp3 music instead of being trapped in subscriptions, this app is a dream come 0. I can store all my purchased music for various places all on this app, nice and organized. It can scan your device for any downloaded music you have already and neatly sort it all. 100% recommend this to anyone that wants to be in control of their own music and leave subscription based music services.

At last! I finally found an mp3 player app with skip forward and skip back buttons (though you need to go into Setting to have them always visible). And the skip times are customizable - I have mine set for +30 seconds, and -15 seconds. Since I only play music stored on my phone (most often via Bluetooth in my car, or through Android Auto), I don't have any need for a lot of features. I will probably listen to more podcasts now, as long as I can download them to my phone and I skip annoying ads.

Best offline music app ever! I was looking for something I can link to a folder on my phone, something I can change tags of MP3s, something that works well with Android Auto, can make Playlists that shuffle. Not only does this app do all of that but more. They truly succeeded in adding all features. The only thing they should improve is settings with Android Auto like when/if to start a certain Playlist when connected or something.

I don't write reviews at all, but I felt the need to for THIS APP. I got Musicolet very recently, but as someone who got sick and tired of Spotify ads and their paywall and decided to start downloading audios, I. Am. OBSESSED!! This app offers all the things to play my audios that Spotify asked me to pay for (and more) FOR FREE!! Its simple to figure out and offers alot to tailor your listening experience. Thank you to the creator of this app!! (And please I beg don't add ads 🙏)

Works only slightly better than my previous app, Muzio. I got this app so that I could skip through music a little easier, and it does that. What I absolutely hate about this app that I cannot seem to change is the fact that it goes from playing a playlist straight into other music from the fame artist, without notice. I thought the first few times were just flukes from being in my pocket or me not knowing how to select and shuffle a playlist. But nope. The app just keeps playing.

This app is packed with useful features, has no ads, and plays local audio files with options to edit track artists, details, and album covers. You have complete control over what files the app can see. I use it to play .mp3 and .flac files, and it works wonderfully. Musicolet Media Player is a beautiful breath of fresh air disguised as an audio player. I can’t recommend it enough—very versatile and intuitive in a simple package.

The best music player on Android or iOS by far! Musicolet is so good that when I switched to an iPhone I carried around my old android just to be able to keep using this app. The playlist and queue creation and management tools are phenomenal and far ahead of any other app that I've tried. What's more, despite being far ahead of the competition, the developer keeps on adding awesome features and increasing their lead! If I could rate it 10/5 I would!

This is a great app. No streaming, no sales pitches, no ads, no data mining. It plays the music that I put on my phone which is the music I want and love. I created a playlist with over 1,900 tracks. I love that it keeps track of where I was on each playlist. The interface was very easy to learn. I have upgraded to premium because I want to support the developer.

There are only a few hiccups I've had with file renaming after updating a folder (which could've been my fault honestly). Besides that, this app is great! I have a huge SD card to save songs on and this app is so perfect when it comes to listening to them like on a normal streaming service. No ads, built in equalizer, it's so useful. The "In-app purchase" isn't necessary unless you want to support the dev(s). I only wish there was a progress bar for the song I'm listening to in the notification.

I've been using this app for years and it's been perfect. My only complaint is that this year I started having problems with transferring files from my computer. About half the time the metadata only partially transfers. The track title will be the file name like "01. The Beatles - Come Together" instead of the title "Come Together," for example. Sometimes the artist & album artist are blank, and the track #, year and genre are always blank. EDIT the given solution worked perfectly. Thank you!

The music player itself is great and the UI is nice, it's also pretty easy to use and navigate. My one complaint is that the tag editor doesn't support file formats like webm, which is what nearly all my files are saved as. This means I can't change any album art, among other things. If the tag editor supported more file formats, I'd be completely satisfied. Everything else about this app is perfect though

straight up might be the best free music app that doesn't have an ad plastered somewhere on your screen. Like it claims, it does the best in simplicity without taking away your options to personalize your albums (like choosing to have them displayed as a Grid or a List), plenty of ways to order your playlists, specify how you want to shuffle your songs, and its performance is crazy. It loads the songs with no issue for me and I have about 9,000 mp3 files

I would give this five stars but I cannot find a way to customize font or the color of the font or change the play, rew/ff button appearance. For something lauded as "highly customizable" this seems somewhat comical when compared to other players such as Power Amp where you can find multiple "skins" and completely go nuts on font as well as font color. (admittedly, I might be missing something too) Aside from that, the player itself is great!

Beautiful and simple app, which does exactly what it says - allows you to listen the music files you own without any interuptions. The one thing that would be nice is a better artist view. I would rather have artist name with the album covers in a grid than the long text list, but it works; remembering what artist you were viewing when last using the app would also make it more user friendly. Otherwise, amazing player that anyone wanting to listen to their offline music library should install.

The one. After a grueling search and 30+ apps, I am happy to say that this one won with very little actual competition. Extremely powerful, customizable, but not bloated, and user-friendly. If I had to compare this to others I'd say that it has the flow and ease of use of Samsung music and other barebones built-in music players, while having the power of a full-blown desktop client akin to foobar2000, even exceeding it in some regards! Try it, spend 2 minutes in the settings, you'll love it!

Highly Recommend. Used for over five years. Purchased the Lifetime Pro License too. This personal music player is far and away the best one out there. The fact that it doesn't require access to the Internet to play your music means you can play YOUR music anywhere, anytime. Plus, it has superb library management tools that allow you to categorize your music in many, many ways and critically it will allow you to embed your album cover or single cover art and lyrics into your music files.

So much easier to use, especially if you're trying to format a ridiculous number of audio files to how you like. -there a section thats just your files! -you can edit the tags of a few hundred tracks at time! massively helpful, even if it takes a minute to load. -you can edit album art (also for hundreds at once if you choose) -you can leave sections blank to not alter them, so you dont have to remmeber random details you're not changing. -simple to navigate, no ads even on free.
