I like it for news and opinion.
Fox News app won’t work
What a pain…every time you read an article and then go back to main page you have to scroll all the way to where you were every time! Also all adds have the read more like the Fox app. They use this so you tap on the ads by mistake. Don’t you make enough money Fox then to take an app and make it trashy with hundreds of not thousands of ads! Be better than the rest! How does this app have 4.5 out of 5 stars when there are so many 1 stars ratings? Is this a joke. Everyone saying the same things greed and money with ads. Time to move on and read the WSJ or American thinker. Now it has pages of ads in the middle of a few articles. What a piece of junk this app is and for fox to reduce its readership it’s showing how to do it. The articles are written by amateurs that have no writing skills. They can’t complete sentences, have no grammar skills, and write as if they are texting. It’s time to move on to other news apps. Can’t read an article without the ad for game app popping up. Only opinion articles from professionals are worthy of taking the time of reading. Almost every article written by one of the contributors has so many grammar mistakes and written like a text message it has become nothing more than a place for commenters. The headlines are all bait! It has no editors and if it does they have no grammar skills either. Rather spend 99 cents a month and read Wall Street journal that has true editors.
Edit: I appreciate the response. I finally got the app after years of reading Fox on an RSS reader. The ads make it difficult to read on a reader, making the page jump around as they load and refresh. Now in the app, I get an add at the bottom of the page to read the article in the Fox News app. I'm using the app! It's getting to the point of stopping reading Fox altogether.
I would like to see the app include a dark mode for reading articles. The main page is great but when you tap on an article in the mobile app you often get a very bright white page with print that is not dark or bold enough and my eyes don’t want to be blinded like that do I don’t read the article. Regards to all!
Your app seriously needs an editor. Does anyone proofread the articles? In a recent article about the Pompeii ruins, there was a paragraph that was completely unreadable and couldn’t be deciphered. Also, when you put in a clickable link in an article, half the time it doesn’t work, or when you describe a photo, there is no photo to actually see.
Ever since the last update app will not load just constant buffering notification. Running IOS 16.1.1 on IPhone 12 Pro Max.
Love FOX, used to love this app. Difficult to read articles because of pop ups and adds. Worst listening stream I've ever experienced. Will not stream for more than 5 minutes at a time, if your lucky. The app has to usually be closed and restarted to play again. I have Samsung and an IPhone, both newer models. Have uninstalled and reinstalled on both devices. Same problems on both platforms. I QUIT!! ( WILL CHECK BACK IN FOR IMPROVEMENTS PERIODICALLY)
Don’t spend much time in app anymore due to lock up. Difficult to shutdown when locked up. Very “jumpy “ when scrolling, which is indication of lock up coming. Thank you for providing us with this feedback. I've escalated to our team; however, if you would be so kind as to provide the make/model of your device to help our team reproduce the issue.
….. too many nonsensical “Breaking News” notifications. The winner of a presidential election being declared is Breaking News; a football coach getting fired is NOT Breaking News. Would be nice if there was a way to customize alerts to filter out items with no national interest.
I switched my TV provider from Verizon to Xfinity. Now, the app keeps taking me to the Verizon log in screen and there does not seem to be any way to change from Verizon to Xfinity. When I choose “not a Verizon customer” it sends me to the Verizon web site….so frustrating. No way to change preference to Xfinity or to get to the Xfinity log in screen.
New version doesn’t work. Will not open.
First complaint is that ads and other content load while you are reading and it actually interrupts your place in an article. Next complaint, article headlines often have a picture but when you get into the article picture not to be found and you can’t zoom in on the original. Often references image or video but no image or video in article. Lastly, most headlines are written like click bait instead of giving you the facts. Many frivolous articles.
I love Fox News but this app has a lot of bugs that need fixing. It keeps asking me to sign in when I want to post on a different article over and over again, so frustrating. It also jumps around a lot. Doesn’t the developer do bug fixes? Until they are fixed adios. Can’t believe Fox is this inconsiderate to people who want to use their app. Not good Fox!! Also, my post came up with someone else’s name. What’s going on?
I try to listen when walking each morning. It constantly freezes and I have to restart the app, it makes me re enter my password almost daily. I spend more time trying to get the app to work than listening to Fox’s opinions
This app sends me notifications every day, even though I have turned off every notifications feature. Reading conversations and articles, if your hand/finger strays just a little, it moves you to the prior page or out of the article/conversation. Hard to concentrate when I don't want the app to bother me and hard to concentrate when I am reading on the app.
Used to love the app. Now it decides to blast some song out of nowhere, and it is extrememly loud. I cannot stop it. It even does it when my phone is on vibrate. I have gone into the app and phone and turned EVERYTHING OFF, but to no avail. I wrote an email asking for a fix but never got a response. If it doesnt get fixed I am going to have to stop using the app. It is that annoying. I see many other people having the exact same issue. Please advise of a solution.
It lacks user consideration and is not intuitive at all (from a UI perspective). Each time I open the app it closes. Furthermore, it seems to have messed up my phone; it worked perfectly fine before I installed this app. I had to turn my phone back to factory settings after installation of this app! I found the content was misleading and provocative! I would not recommend allowing young minds to access this app!
Since the update, the broadcast ends at each segment, and does not go to ads, attempt to begin and it every ad available, click on the listen again and select, and it's halfway through the next segment. Have tried clearing data and cache, Uninstalled, restarted my phone, still same issue. Tried under wifi and mobile. No resolution. I use the app in the car so can't play around with it driving down the road.
This is a good app for getting news, but at the same time it is also terribly annoying. Without warning it continuously dumps one into Fox Business News. Then upon returning back to Fox News it dumps you at the beginning instead of continuing where you left off, leaving you to have to continually having to review, and re-review every article. I can take this about two times, and then I just dump the app out of frustration. I just wish that every article that is going to dump you into Fox Business would be labeled as such. That way I can skip those articles until I have read all the Fox News news, and then open the Business app to get all the business related news.
When did Fox become CNN. What a joke , Go woke, Go Broke. What idiots
I had hope and I was let down immensely. It was incredibly slow and glitchy. after It took about a hour to download, I opened up the app and tried to open up a article, only to find that I wouldn't open. I tried another one and found that it worked, kinda. iIt loaded for almost 10 minutes before the it showed up. I exited out of the article and tried another one, to find it did the same thing and every few just wouldn't open. It frequently deleted my saved articles and left my phone slow. 1/10
Bugs, glitches, horrible
First off, the app is incredibly glitchy, it runs in the backround which uses ALL my data, it seems like there are so many bugs in this app... Another thing is they are very, very biased. Incredibly biased. They also seem to sugarcoat and gloss over a lot of issues. I don't live in America and I don't know a lot about what's going on but it seems like they've taken a side and stuck to only reporting on their side of the story, which isn't a good look for a news outlet.
The app took more than a minute to download, it is very buggy, slow hard to use. The layout of the app is incomprehensible and waste so much time that could be used for better things. Once I downloaded the app I noticed that my phone started slowing down whenever connected to wifi. The few times that the app starts up, you can immediately see a bias in their articles and information, if you're not telling us facts without bending the truth then we can find another more reliable news source.
