wow this game really surprised me, this isn't just a city builder, it's packed with so many games, quests and aspects, that it's really fun to play. sure you can just build the city, but if you get into good guild (and you will if you play well), they will help you to grow in superb ways. the game has a lot of different mechanics, which really make it interesting and it is NOT pay to win. you can enjoy a great amount of win without paying.
One of the slowest and most un-rewarding games I've played. Never have enough space for new buildings, expansions are unnecessarily expensive which slows everything down even more. Production buildings hardly produce enough to keep up at any pace, residential buildings house a very small amount of people. And far too many features of the game rely heavily upon diamonds, which of course you have to pay to aquire. Don't download this game if you don't plan on spending 2 years before any results.
Been playing for years, still love this game! It moves slowly so it isn't for everyone...but I find the pace really relaxing. The events are fair in that if you participate and plan ahead, you can get a fully upgraded event building. Yeah, there are P2W folks who end up with 3 or 4 event buildings, but you can do just fine with the one. They added settlements which i think were a great addition, it gives you more stuff to do with amazing rewards! Great game, keep it up Inno!
Forge of Empires could have been such a great game, but it's lacking in playability after the 1 week mark. Most of the best parts of the game cost money to access, such as "The Daily Bonus". The campaign battles are heavily skewed in the computer's favor, with no clear picture of unit stats, how to upgrade your attack or defense, or which unit types work better against a particular unit type. Too bad. It could have been very fun. EDIT: Thanks for the copy and pasted response, InnoGames.
It's a great game I've been playing for a little over a year... that being said there is a major component of the game(guild vs guild)that I'm missing out on. I only play mobile so it's not available. One other suggestion is the settlements take about a week or two if you spend money, but if you dont they take forever. I'm only just now about to get my yggsadril to lvl 4. Last thing please please please increase the number of fps you can collect from. 100 to at least 200 it's a massive pain.
This game is perfect for the casual player or the hardcore spender. Can do a whole lot and progress steadily without spending a dime. Nothing is locked to free users. No pay walls. Multiple strategies and options for advancing your city. Lots of cool semi-multiplayer features that make the game a little more whole. Don't have to stress if you forget to play or can't play for a bit but also has a lot to do if you want to spend a lot of time on it.
Used to love this game, but now the Guild Battlegrounds option is unplayable due to lag and the spinning wheel of death. Such a waste of time, building your city up to be able to play at a certain high level -- only to have all that work ruined by the actual game developer and company themselves. BEWARE: Inno does not provide equal and fair access to all players. Even crazier, that I was an actual paying customer. Never again.
The game looks great and has some well thought out parts. Unfortunately, many times I went in to the game to play and have fun, but there was only clicking on a building to do. Boring. The area to work with is so small that the best way to get more area to play with is to buy with real money. Just nothing much to do in the game. I pushed through to the iron age but it started to need items I didn't have room to build the generating building. Again highly encouraging to pay real money to succeed.
It's a very addictive game. But it takes forever to play without spending tons of money.. You must buy diamonds for everything. I had to have land to expand my city so I've spent a 20$, but the game has problems presently it's not giving me my forge points I need to expand great buildings or for research, not to say even helping guildmates. It also will distribute earned resources evenly, especially if it's what you need to advance and I've carefully chosen my builds for that and population.
Lowered my rating to one star in response to all the cash-grab features that have been implemented over the last 6 months. While everything is technically available for free, what the developers don't tell you is that it will take you literally YEARS to unlock what you want. Want that event building for the event? Pay for it now or maybe you'll get the fragments for it over the next year or two. Want to upgrade your castle? At normal rates, that's 17 years, etc. It's a game for whales.
I have played since 2013 on a desktop i took a break for two years, came back and my account was deleted. I started again on mobile and now I find myself disliking the game and devs more nowadays inno mostly prioritizes the "slow paced" gameplay over "long periods" so the average players face enough hardships to purchase more packs or diamonds and they can continue to milk the player over that long time period. all of their responses are you can obtain/unlock everything in the game is bs! $$$
this game / app has not been working for me for a couple days now. when I open the game, all I get is a black screen with a blue- green circle loading thing. is anyone else experiencing this? it actually started like a day after the new event started. Devs, please fix... Thank you! When working properly this game is a great game to play, I've been playing it for years across multiple devices.
edit again: stop being defensive. you have too many adds and you know it. edit: response to dishonest reply from developer: No, you cannot ignore the ads because some of the early game missions are simply "watch an add" And you must do so to progress. I've played this on PC for years, this is the first time I've tried that mobile version and the ads are excessive. It makes it unplayable. I don't mind watching videos, but this is way too much
Easy to play. Very addictive. Game moves as fast or as slow as you do; the pace adapts well for both casual or serious players. You can play on desktop or mobile interchangeably! Developers are very much a part of the community; constantly improving the game and running events. It's F2P and holds 0 there. There's no P2W element. I spent a few $ because I wanted to support the game as I've been enjoying it throughly. Edit: there are optional ads but not as intrusive as I first thought.
I've noticed a bug on mobile with the ads, I find that often times after watching an ad it will not count for the reward in the chest or the tavern. In the beginning it worked fine, but now it doesn't seem to take. I watch the whole ad that it requires. Well I don't know what you guys did but the reward for the ads work just fine now. don't make them invasive though, the system you got now is fine.
The app loads quickly and runs smoothly. Buildings and scenery are surprisingly detailed and attractive, which is my favorite aspect of the game. It's more of a check in once or twice a day game than being fully engaging. I don't find the ads overly intrusive myself, as they're optional, and they rarely cause the game to crash, so it's better than other games out there. Not sure if my opinion will change as I progress further.
The game has recently lost a bunch of players because of the outstanding Bug which allows players to cheat and made the game a lot less fun than 3 months ago. Now things are much slower and there is no indication the Bug will get fixed. On top of that the game designer seems more concerned with implementing Ads than creating engaging content. For example, the Summer event is the same as last year; it was bad then, it's still bad now.
Game is fun. I had taken a long break from it so I lost my previous progress. Ads are everywhere. It's a pita but expected. The one issue I have is if you are going to use ads, at least make sure they work. I have a story quest that requires me to watch an ad for 2k supplies. It's bugged out and I cannot watch the ad and cannot clear the quest. Fix please!
I have enjoyed FOE for a few years. I like the journey from different time periods and ages. It has easy to challenging tasks throughout the games quests and other features in the game. They have some interesting and fun events periodically and continually. You get rewards for completing missions and events. As of today, I still enjoy playing a few times a week. I recommend it.

Don't have to stress if you forget to play or can't play for a bit but also has a lot to do if you want to spend a lot of time on it.
wow this game really surprised me, this isn't just a city builder, it's packed with so many games, quests and aspects, that it's really fun to play. sure you can just build the city, but if you get into good guild (and you will if you play well), they will help you to grow in superb ways. the game has a lot of different mechanics, which really make it interesting and it is NOT pay to win. you can enjoy a great amount of win without paying.
this game / app has not been working for me for a couple days now. when I open the game, all I get is a black screen with a blue- green circle loading thing. is anyone else experiencing this? it actually started like a day after the new event started. Devs, please fix... Thank you! When working properly this game is a great game to play, I've been playing it for years across multiple devices.

Fix please!
edit again: stop being defensive. you have too many adds and you know it. edit: response to dishonest reply from developer: No, you cannot ignore the ads because some of the early game missions are simply "watch an add" And you must do so to progress. I've played this on PC for years, this is the first time I've tried that mobile version and the ads are excessive. It makes it unplayable. I don't mind watching videos, but this is way too much
