I just started playing and found a group of people in guild that were very helpful! Got to level 300 where they could trade me gear to fuse, then the next day, the app freezes on the loading screen and tells me the app isn't responding. Saw another user say the same thing back in 2023, and they responded that they are fixing this, but it os now halfway through 2024, and it is still an issue.
Fun little game, a little battery intensive and I wouldn't play it when not on Wi-Fi but otherwise it's a good distraction. Would give 5/5 except you're stuck each class as one specific chatacter (even down to gender). No personalization unless you get a costume which involves real money. No skin tone options and everyone is white. Personalization is something I thought would be in this game, and it's absence is actually a huge negative for me. Also the repetitive loading song drives me nuts.
You will hit a brick wall if you dont pay. This game is very cute, it's fun and theres a lot to do, but after the first day of playing it, you're going to be spending a lot of time grinding if you dont pay out. There is a costume system with massive stats, only available if you spend cash. Everything you do requires some kind of reagent, and if your not a VIP even getting more potions is a hassle. I'm not saying dont play it, just dont expect to be competitive if you dont pay.
Compared to the pc version, even the old pc version back from 10 years ago or so, this mobile version is kinda terrible. Only 3 classes, no character customization, not even gender selection. You're forced to play a gender depending on class. Yet somehow they've packed the game with 800 levels of grinding, which I gaurenteed you gets really slow really fast. Like even before level 50 the grind gets real bad. I really wanted to like this but it's too difficult.
I've played Flyff for PC since I was in elementary. That being said, I knew this wasn't going to be a replica of the pc version, but still holds up quite nicely. Gives me the nostalgia of the monsters and music plus there's a lot to do Especially early in the game HOWEVER I've found that you cannot grind as much as you want. You pretty much reach a hold for the day after doing all the extra XP stuff. Plus it's very rare for me to find party members for dungeons. Still 5/5 for nostalgia
