I don't know what update they did, but every time I deliever an order early it says sent. The next day it will say that the order is late and was never delievered. This has happened on my last 3 orders now. I think it is just the app, but it is an annoying thing when they decide your seller level based on timely orders. Update: I spoke with "customer service" and they told me "it looks like your order was delivered late". DUH! that was the reason I was reaching out. Brenda was a waste of time
I love Fiverr, but the app itself isn't that good. It's useful for just exchanging messages between buyers and sellers just like the website, but all the other functions and features are far worse on the app or removed entirely. It's harder to see a sellers gig page or make purchases on the app, there's no Home button, dropping internet speeds will lock the app, and uploading attachments is much worse, as it takes you to a separate page do that. At least the app is ad-free, so that's a positive.
I'd give it 4+ stars if it wasn't for their pricing model. They make you buy credits (called "connects") to apply to jobs. It's not bad to make sure that only people truly skilled and interested in your posting apply. BUT what's absolutely awful is that you have to pay 12-16 "connects" per application, so that's around $2-3 per application, regardless if it pays $10/h or $100/h or fixed rates. It's horrible. They should set a limit, like spend $100 until you get a gig. AND they take 10%.
I've used Fiverr for a while now, and for the most part it works fine. The problems are mostly for sellers on the service. If a person asks you to do something more or different than what your gig offers and you have to cancel, you will be penalized unfairly. Customer service can not/will not help you, you just have to take the penalty and slowly work back up to your previous level. Fiverr was created for buyers, sellers do not have the power.
It's a good service but I have some minor complaints. 1) Lots of scammers in there. 2) When you place your order there are these additions you can tack on for more money. 3) When the service is completed Fiverr asks you to rate the seller and sometimes the quality of the service takes time to determine - for example I ordered an ad to be made and I won't know how good the ad is for a little while. 4) Fiverr asks you to tip the seller. Not a huge fan of that. Build the tip into the price.
This app requires too much for just the application process for becoming a seller. I couldn't even complete it because of how laggy and horribly glitched the website was. And even when I put my correct information and phone number, it wanted me to add more and couldn't verify my number, causing me to have to wait 24 hours until I can try again because I had too many failed attempts.
For a tech company this is a very subpar app. The communication is disorganized (broken into different chats) and the delivery is a nightmare to download. You can download 1 file at a time (imagine 10+) and often times it's super slow and incomplete. I thought they needed time to improve, but it's been like this for years now. They're very good at collecting money, especially insane fees on the tip amount.
I use the app to hire session musicians for my music, and I couldn't be happier with the results. However, i wish I could tip the performer without being charged a second service fee at the end. They should either let you tip in advance when you pay for services (with option to modify upon delivery) or not charge the service fee for the tip. Aside from that, i think this is a wonderful service!
As a seller I really like the organization of fiver. The only problem is that they should remove the 1 dollar withdrawal fee because they already get 20% of what you make as well as to not count it against you if the client purchases an order and forgets about it. It should not bring down your order completion rate. Other than that it is a really good place to spend and make money.
PROS: I needed some help preparing a Visa photo. The first person I worked with could not do the job. Fiverr was great about refunding me in the form of credit for future work. The second person was great and got everything done right. CON: After I accepted delivery of the final product, Fiverr asked for a tip. There was no place to opt out of it. I was willing to tip since I had a great experience. Minimum tip is $5. What I didn't like is they charged $3 as a service fee on the tip.
The app itself is easy to use, and the platform is useful if you're searching for products or services. It's absolutely abhorrent if you're trying to grow your business. I tried to set up gigs offering research assistance (and not offering to write any papers or anything of the sort), and without having the chance to modify my gigs to the correct standards, my account was disabled. I will never use this service again.
I have had a great experience with most of the sellers I deal with on the platform. My issue is with the service fees charged by Fiverr. I think there shouldn't be a service fee on tipping the seller. That actually has prevented me from tipping. Anytime I add to an order, another service fee is charged, which is my bad, but then charging another service fee to tip? I just think that is bad business practice.
Great place to find help. It's a $3 service fee to add a tip, it says it's too help run the platform.... that's absolutely ridiculous to charge extra to tip someone, that's almost like the app discouraging tipping. Service fees make sense in your initial purchase, but to have to pay to leave a tip, that's hurting your creators as well as your clients. Ridiculous move. Ridiculous.
The experience is great. I've met some really creative and professional developers. The raise in service fees has reduced the amount of tips I offer, and that greatly impacts the developers overall. A few for the order, a fee if you add a tip, a fee if you purchase an add on service... no, you can not do it all in one order with your initial payment Too many additional fees. 🤦
Do NOT use! Customers think that they know better and then they want CHEAP work done in CANVA and then when you tell them it's Canva, it's a limited program, it's a bit more involved and it will take more work with Adobe Photoshop, they have an issue with the price after I've already started working on it because they put an order through, then when they get the source files they will cancel the order. Case in point: MINDYMINHAS. BEWARE!!!!
Works decently, some minor bugs/ui grievances. I mainly just use it for the chat, as I still prefer how the website works (+ seller discounts work better). The service fee(s) can get pretty annoying every time there's a separate add-on or when you go to tip, and you're charged *AGAIN*. Just to tip. Chats & app itself have been buggy for awhile (even on the site). Down to 3⭐ until it's more stable & not crashing my gallery/phone for some weird reason. It wouldn't even let me update or open it.
I used to love fiverr. Now, I can't even add a title to my gigs. I get an error saying the title can only include letters and numbers and that's literally all it has. Customer support is non existent and chat service is a bot that doesn't know anything. Fiverr gets an outrageous amount of money from sellers and buyers and should have the funds to maintain their site. That I can't make edits in the app is dumb too.
(consumer) I love this app because it allows artists from all over to utilize their talents and get paid. What I don't like is that they charge extra fees to the artists. In the breakdown of my purchase, I was charged a service fee, which is to be expected. There was a very direct message that read "it is customary to give a tip." I noticed this 2x during checkout. The tip I made was then charged an additional service fee. They charged 2 service fees for 1 order.

Brenda was a waste of time
The app itself is easy to use, and the platform is useful if you're searching for products or services. It's absolutely abhorrent if you're trying to grow your business. I tried to set up gigs offering research assistance (and not offering to write any papers or anything of the sort), and without having the chance to modify my gigs to the correct standards, my account was disabled. I will never use this service again.
Ridiculous.
BEWARE!!!!
