DAEMON tool
DAEMON Tool is a software application for Microsoft Windows that allows users to create and mount optical disc images. It is produced by Disc Soft Ltd.
DAEMON Tools was originally a further development of another virtual drive software application called Generic Safedisc emulator developed by Daemon Software in 2000. The original product name was DAEMON Tools Pro, and the first version 1.0 was released on December 2001. The last release under the original product name, version 4.41, was made available on February 5th, 2013.
Since then, the product has been succeeded by two other products: DAEMON Tools Lite (a freeware version), and DAEMON Tools Ultra (a commercial version with more features).
Features
When it comes to disk imaging, DAEMON Tools is one of the most well-known and widely used programs. It's been around for over 15 years and has evolved into a powerful tool that can be used for both personal and commercial purposes.
DAEMON Tools allows you to create virtual drives, mount images, and emulate various types of media including CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays. You can also use it to create ISO files or compress images to save storage space.
The program is available in both free and paid versions. The free version offers all the basic features while the paid version includes additional features such as the ability to mount VHDs and TrueCrypt volumes.
DAEMON Tools is compatible with Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP. It's also available in a portable version so you can use it on any computer without having to install it.
How to use DAEMON tool software?
DAEMON tool software is one of the most popular disc imaging programs available. It allows you to create and mount images of CDs and DVDs without the need for physical discs. This can be useful for backing up discs, or for accessing data on discs that are not compatible with your computer's operating system.
To use DAEMON tool software, you first need to download and install the program on your computer. Once it is installed, you can launch it by double-clicking on the icon on your desktop. When the program opens, you will see a window with a list of all of the available images that you can mount.
To mount an image, simply click on it and then click on the "Mount" button. The image will then be accessible as if it were a real disc in your computer's CD/DVD drive. You can then access the data on the image just as you would any other disc. When you are finished using the image, you can unmount it by clicking on the "Eject" button in DAEMON tool software.
